I saw some pink lipstick plants at my local big box store a couple days ago and walked away. 🤦♀ Guess who's going back after work to pick one up? 🙋♀ That Anthurium is stunning!💚
Girl you are going to be BLOWN away by the Jose Buono , I'm telling you! Fastest growing plant I have, never stops, leaves just continue to get more massive, u never lose leaves on them, and the variegation on each leaf is such a surprise but equally as beautiful as the last. Also pretty pest resistant in my experience! Incredible plant. That anthurium hybrid had my jaw on the floor!! My gosh! That's all I have to say. Amazing 😍😍
Ahh, a day off, got some plant mail this morning, the sun is shining and my Thai Con is pushing a new leaf.. And now another new Fern video? I feel spoiled. Hopefully one day all of my plants look as beautiful, luscious and vibrant as yours!! Also your hair is getting so long and it’s a whole vibe. 💚🌱🌿🌞
Hey Fern, my Hoya Serpens was my first Hoya to ever bloom for me! I think it needs a lot of light and regular watering to make it happen, but unfortunately at the expense of the nice dark foliage and serpent head shaped leaves. My Serpens has been light green, with round, small leaves for a long time due to high light exposure. It really reminds me of the Mathilde where the leaves will become smaller and lighter green with more light. I actually just trimmed my Serpens completely back as I want it to look more like yours again!
Mmm that makes a lot of sense actually! I’m suspecting that’s why my caudata isn’t blooming in the cabinet either, not enough light. Thank you very much 🫶
Commenting before I even watch the video because I know it will be amazing and don’t want to forget to comment or be distracted by something else. I don’t usually comment but I love the entire timeline of your content and have been watching for a while. You’re amazing. I also work in healthcare and can’t imagine having worked through the pandemic. You’re a warrior and truly inspirational. Thank you.
hey Fern! have you heard of a plant called Aeschynanthus Bolero Bicolor? It's a varigated lipstick plant that resembles a varigated hoya bella (imo)! thought I'd mention it bc your lipstick plant and hoya bella made it to your favorite plant list! 😊
I love my Jose Buono! The creamy variegation seemed to last longer when it was in high light, but it wouldn’t lose leaves since it would just turn to the minty color like you said!
I like it too. I want one so bad, but most likely won't get one for a while, if ever. TBH I never seen them on the shops I frequent when I do buy plants. I haven't bought a plant since October 2023.
My Serpens has FINALLY bloomed! I put it into my cabinet and I have blooms after waiting for years! I can’t tell you how it happened, I didn’t do anything special except putting it in my milsbo.
Im obsessed with Hoyas right now. I have one that has 3 main branches on it, 2 have the outer variegation while the 3rd is completely white. Its so gorgeous.
USA viewers. Keep and eye out for Thai Pinks at Lowe’s. My local store just got a large shipment of them from Costa Farms. Nice size hanging baskets of them. Location PNW
Also looking forward to seeing the progress with your esqueleto (she's awesome!). We're growing a baby at the moment and it's quickly going up its moss pole. She's not sizing up just yet like yours but hopefully during the summer, she will.
Piper Crocatum!!!!! The camera doesn't do this plant justice! And mine smells good ❤❤❤ It has been hard for me to propagate. I found soil works best. It's beautiful.
Thai Pink Lipstick has a lot of Hoya vibes, specifically reminds me of Hoya Chelsea, but easier for my to bloom than Hoya, so I often recommend them to people. I use to not get the Hoya hype, but after my plant collection grew & I started working more over time, I gained a new appreciation for just how forgiving they are of a messed up watering routine when I'm really busy (under/over they're good). Glad to see that many are starting to have come down in price too, so they're more obtainable for me; my favorite Hoya is still the 1st one I got, Hoya Australis 'Lisa.'
I just purchased my first Antherium yesterday. I don't have room for more than a few big leaf plants (I already have a small P. Ring of Fire and baby P. Jose Buono), because I live in an apartment. I bought an A. Luxurians. It is small now, but won't always be. It is currently up on a wall out of my cats' reach. I feel a bit intimidated by it even though I have 120 plants in my current collection and have been keeping house plants for decades, but never an Anthurium, sigh. I have a small plant of the Hoya Keohiana 'super silver' and I love it
About hoya blooms. Try to extend the "day light" Hours for example from 12 to 14 h. The sudden change may lead the plant to bloom. Also when you do have peduncles the plant need more water to sustain the blooms❤
I have had a tiny, tiny hoya serpens cutting for like... 2 years... It's FINALLY starting to GROW! I'm so excited. It's literally in a 2 inch pot so it will probably be YEARS before it grows to the size of yours... Wow it's sooo pretty! 😅
Love all your choices, always! ❤ Thai Pink is top of my wish list. I have 4 other Lipstick plants and they’re seriously my favourite plants. The constant blooms (without causing allergies). Such bright spots in my home. The only downside is they need a lot of light so I can’t put them everywhere!
All your favourites in this video were so lush and healthy. My favourites were the Thai Pink Lipstick plant, (such tropical vibes with those stunning flowers) and the Piper - Crocatum. Loves those pink veined leaves. Great video!!!! Look forward to the next "Favourites".
I love your hoya cronana silver!!! I'm not a hoya girl and don't have any in my collection but this one is now on my wish list! Also the hot pink flowers on your lipstick plant are beautiful! Thanks for showing us your lovely plants!💜
I’m loving your ngg as well. I’m sifting through for any tips. I started transferring all my Hoyas and other plants to self watering and I’m seeing remarkable growth. Yours has even spacing. Mine grows in clusters and then a long stem and another cluster. I’m acquiring cuttings to try and make a bushier pot cause I really want to glow my ngg up. 😊
I just got a Thai Pink from Planthaven Toronto (using your code 🙂👍🏼💰). So psyched to see it bloom! 💓💓💓. And, thanks for letting us know that its leaves dropping is normal.
I recently got a piper crocatum. I believe I saw it first on your channel. I love it also, and have it in a large terrarium with begonias, etc. It was in the mail for 3 days, but arrived in really good condition from Canopy Plants in New Orleans. My first time ordering from them. I also have the Nova Ghost which hasn't done much, but I am hopeing it will come to life in the warmer weather. My Florida Ghost is on a 2ft pole under soltech lights. It has short internodes which is great and those beautiful ivory leaves. And the Jose Buono I got from Plant Haven Toronto is also highly varigated and doing well. I have the other hoyas you showed as well. I guess I have most of your favorites right now, excepting the lipstick plant. Anyway, great plants you showed. Loved them all!
Was surprised to see a new video when I came to UA-cam to check..and here you I were. Thank you. I’m excited to watch it. You’re right. There hasn’t been a favorites video in a while.
My Jose just got it’s very first browning spot after a year in my care and it was 100% due to being massively rootbound and under watered in Terra cotta lol she tough!!! I’m obsessedddd with all your huge, ambient conditions antherium🥵❤
Hi Fern I’m so glad that you mentioned the Jose buono leaves going a bit duller and mint. I was worried about mine as they are doing the same thing. Thanks again
@@wildfern I'm always rooting for Hoyas but *dang* that Lux leaf is huge, gorgeous, and prehistoric looking! Love the favorites videos (in any frequency)🤩
Hi, I've not seen any of your videos in a few months and today when I popped on I have to say, Your hair and makeup are GORGEOUS! I love the look you have going on, and if I could rock bangs, I would totally get, "The Fern" cut! ❤ Love your plants girlie, keep up the awesomeness!
Okay so like...I need to put a piper on my wishlist now. I'm also sad now though because I had a mint piper and it got the little things on the back of the leaves that you were talking about and it freaked me out so much that I ended up tossing it because I thought it was pest eggs 😭😭
Oh my goodness! I don’t even know what to say,I’m speechless, I cannot for the life of me pick a favorite out of that lot….. Just incredibly stunning! 💚💚💚💚🪴🌿Natalie
Your Hoyas are gorgeous. Never apologize about too many.😂 I also love your Thai pink lipstick plant. Last year I picked up an plant that didn't have a tag. I thought it could be a lipstick based on its leaves. Well in February I noticed something different some tube like buds. They stayed like that for awhile and then flowers started coming out (just like a tube of lipstick). It's a Thai pink and I am in love. She is not as large as yours yet..❤
“Peduncle-ing up” 🤣 just thought that was cute and funny. FYI…that spot on the wall looked like a reflection to me until you pointed it out 🤣 thanks for the video as always!
Wildfern that is the most beautiful anthirium I have ever seen. Im just becoming an anthirium mom fingers crossed they will grow as beautiful as yours.
I went to a greenhouse yesterday and almost grabbed a Piper. I have ZERO experience or knowledge of them so I decided against it because I naturally figured it was moody. Might need to go back and give her a try 😛
Haha i was going to say it was satisfying to be like number 111 and was thinking no dont comment that then seconds later you say 11 is your favorite number 😋 okay maybe i comment that hahaha
Holy Moly Fern that Anthurium Luxurians hybrid is magnificent!!!! 😳😲🤩 The Luxurians (genuine variety) is my wishlist plant OF ALL TIME but unfortunately I cannot get my hands on one here in Sydney (too rare and expensive) so I'm now thinking a hybrid might be the way to go....will look into it next spring/summer cos we're heading into winter season now and am on a self imposed plant ban atm 🤦🏻♀🫣 Thank you for sharing your beautiful plants with us 💞
If you're in Australia I believe tissue cultured, pure Luxurians are starting to make their rounds on some of the online shops, based on a video Sydney Plant Guy recently made 😄They are small and still cost around $100 but I am sure they will only become cheaper as time goes on now. I look forward to adding it to my collection too eventually!
This was the first thing that came up for me after a long day at university and getting home to water my plants, what a treat 🤍💚
Ahh enjoy and I hope the rest of your day is relaxing 🥺☺️🫶
The Anthurium crystal+mag is just WOW!!
OMG that crystal/mag×lux I screamed so loud my daughter got scared. Holy crap that's sooo sooo big and beautiful . You have the magic touch. WOW
Awww thank you!! 😊
That Anthurium though.... So great, grand, beautiful 💚❤️
My plant wishlist gets longer every time I watch your videos 😂❤
😆😆
Don't ever worry about showing to many Hoyas. Their one of the only plants that I could have in my home that you show a lot. I love seeing them
Your New Guinea Ghost is gorgeous! Wishlist plant, for sure!
I saw some pink lipstick plants at my local big box store a couple days ago and walked away. 🤦♀ Guess who's going back after work to pick one up? 🙋♀ That Anthurium is stunning!💚
Stunning begonia. The deep dark colors in the center of each leaf.
You know this plant momma is a Hoya momma and love that you are enjoying them too!!
LONG day teaching fourth graders and then working out. Sat down in a nice hot bath and here was a new video!
Teaching 4th graders need patience lmao
I like the Piper crocatum. The coloration is stunning

Just got a 8 inch hanging pot of the Thai pink plant at my local grocery store for 12.99. I love it so much. 🤩
SO JEALOUS! I've been looking for weeks and can't find one
I love that you enjoy begonias as well.
Thank you :)
My soul wasn’t ready for the beauty of that piper. Wow. Same for that begonia 😍
hey Fern! have you heard of a plant called Aeschynanthus Bolero Bicolor? It's a varigated lipstick plant that resembles a varigated hoya bella (imo)! thought I'd mention it bc your lipstick plant and hoya bella made it to your favorite plant list! 😊
I love my Jose Buono! The creamy variegation seemed to last longer when it was in high light, but it wouldn’t lose leaves since it would just turn to the minty color like you said!
Also the internodes would be pretty compact and leaves would size up quickly without a pole (:
Such gorgeous plants 🪴❤
Oh my gosh they’re all so beautiful! I absolutely love silver Hoyas 💚💚💚💚
Yay, nice that hoyas made the list! More folks need to love hoyas. There are so many to collect too, so crazy!
I also love my pure Lux. She’s super easy and sizes up really well.
I'm obsessed with your lipstick plant! So pretty!😍💕
Love the lipstick plant.

12:53 Jose Buono highly variegated leaves will harden if you a mint green like the other leaves. They will melt is overwatered or not enough humidity

That crystal mag x lux is CRAZY BEAUTIFUL!! I never really like lux hybrids but this one is incredible!!❤❤❤

Silver Hoyas are something else! I hope you can find a Coriacea Silver 🤍 That’s what I bought mine as but it turned out to be a splash 🥲
My hoya serpens took about 5 years to flower, mine lives outside under my patio in Perth Western Australia 😊
I totally get your amazement with the expansion of anthurium leaves. It's so fun to watch.😍 Your crystal mag is gorgeous, congrats!
Oh my that Begonia is the best thing ever😊

the Krohniana Super Silver is such a pretty beast. I have them growing all over my house now. It's encouraged me to get creative with my trellises.

Wow we are twinning with a lot of plants 😃👯🌿
The Piper doesn’t look too full yet. When you repot you could do it without disturbing the roots or trellis.

I have that same lipstick plant and it is so beautiful ❤️. Love this plant.
I just got my first Florida ghost, its a baby with 2 leaf. I hope it can grow beautifull like yours😊
Next day, lol, oh now 16:09 that's a begonia I could get behind. Never understood the appeal, but that is a stunner.

I really live the Bella
The philodendron Jose buono, reminds me of the philodendron white princess 😊. I love seeing new growth on the plants ❤
Awesome faves; thanks for sharing Fern!
Thanks for watching!
you take such good care of your plants, they must love you back very much ❤

Beautiful plants! Loved all the Hoya. My Jose Bueno has been so wonderful too! Such a great plant.
Haha i was going to say it was satisfying to be like number 111 and was thinking no dont comment that then seconds later you say 11 is your favorite number 😋 okay maybe i comment that hahaha
Chop the top and then extend. Take cuttings from the bottom. But the leaves you add back in will be smaller than the rest of the leaves.

@@roxanne5582 Thanks yeah I saw Jan’s video on TC. I’m happy to wait when they come down, that one as well as the Burle Marx Flame 😅
