This is an amazing content. I've spent countless hours and many days reading those 800 pages and filling up the study help material. However, nothing seemed to help. I couldn't retain any information, and it was all exam-specific and hardly used in the daily life of a personal trainer. This is the course that he offers for free, and it is helping me understand the same thing in a much simpler way. It helps me retain all the information and prepare for the exam.

    Helpful video.
    Just 4 things (from a perfectionist's POV):
    1) The ANS is called the AUTONOMIC nervous system, not "Autonomous"...same suffix as 'Somatic'.
    2) Technically, water DOES NOT conduct electricity. It's the minerals in drinking water that conduct. Wouldn't affect the BIA if you drank distilled water (which isn't healthy unless you're replacing the leeched minerals).
    3) The coccyx is 3, 4 (most common), or 5 fused vertebrae.
    4) If you're going to pay yourself from your own business, an S-Corp has significant tax advantage over an LLC and the same level of protection. You can take a paycheck to avoid self-employment taxes on that amount, then take distributions, if you're making significantly more than the industry wage standard.

But that doesn't mean you'll get the same. One thing that is true Jeff said is that there are 2 answers that really make sense. So most questions were easy to figure out which 2 answers could be right. I agree with Jeff, as long as you read the book and take quizzes/tests it was very helpful. I also took free tests online. In the book, it says that it should be greater or equal to 140 (SP) and 90 (DS)… not 130 (SP) for it to become a risk factor

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation
      @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation  2 роки тому +1

I appreciate the feedback! ACE gives conflicting information on that. I saw some of their resources say 130SBP, (now considered high blood pressure) and anything over 80DBP as a risk factor. This is due to recent changes in the medical world. The old guidelines had anything over 140 being a risk factor.
This all being said, it’s tough to know where ACE stands on that exactly since some resources say one thing and others say something else. Do you have a page# for what you said?

Thanks! Look up continuing education on your ACE dashboard (I think). there is an online and/or app that you can do CPR from home and with a couch cushion. Fortunately, I already had mine through my current job. good luck! @@Vi-qf5nc

I would not recommend getting an online certification! it looks bad to employers as well as being a very important life saving skill! Get that in-person certification to be ready for anything that could happen to one your clients or anyone else you may come across! @@Vi-qf5nc

Thank you for your videos! I just passed the exam today and I just wanna say “Guys, if Jeff says that you should remember all risk factors for CVD, just do it! Don’t be like me 😂” But, to be open, it was fkn hard for me as a non-native speaker

In my book the ift model has 4 levels not three. Is my book outdated? For cardio: it has aerobic base, aerobic efficiency, anaerobic endurance, and anaerobic power.
Movement: mobility and stability, movement, load, performance.
    Thanks

@@markbrian4890 ya they’re on the 6th edition now. This video is based on that 6th edition. 90 something percent of the info is the same but they did change a few things.
I’d say if you study these vids and your book you should still be able to pass with little issue

I have one personally but I don’t use it too much except for watching steps/heart rate. I encourage clients to watch their steps as well but don’t require it by any means.

We will make it soon! We most likely won’t have it done anytime in the next few months though! If you study the practice quizzes and these vids you should be fine for your exam!
The muscle function vid later will just be a bonus!

They’re accurate. Look at the other comments. Thousands of people have passed using these guides. Like I say in the video though, you shouldn’t only use the videos.
You should still go through the ACE course, watch the videos, and do practice quizzes and the practice test.

These videos have been awesome, thanks! Are we allowed to take a calculator into the exam or will they provide one? I was not sure from the instructions. Sounds like they obviously want to control any cheating risk so I figured they may not allow us to bring our own.

Thanks! The downloads are working. It’s most likely the web browser you’re using. Try downloading them with google chrome. If that doesn’t work your computer is probably blocking the file as a pop up.
