wind waker is the best zelda game of them all to me. So much emotion and meaning hidden in it. At the beginning of the game, all of links friends on outset island are happy and walking around but when you visit again sort of halfway through, they are all inside their houses because they're frightened. Little things like this make the game so special

Fun fact: depending on the direction you tilt the control stick while doing combos, there are slightly alternative motions that Link makes. Also, you can mix it up and use combinations of horizontal and vertical slices.
Exactly and this is what makes a difference, particularly against Moblins. The best (and only) way to get rid of them in one go is to perform Att + Att + Att + -> Att. The last swing will do a tornado attack that will finish them off. Any other combo won't go far enough to hit them, or will result in slow attacks that will give them time to block. 👍
@@HairDeLaCreme Yeah but its kinda useless to buy a Switch port -- if one day it exists which I doubt as Switch is probably in its last year of priority -- if you have it on Wii U. The story mode doesn't change and a Switch port would cost 70$-more for a game you already have.

I have so many core memories with this title. I was maybe 7 or 8 when I played it for the first time at a family reunion. My cousin had it and it was the first Zelda game I was ever exposed to, even before OOT. I had seen majoras mask and had friends who played it but never jumped until WW. Just got done beating Wind Waker on my GameCube. Took me about 5 months because of work and family life but I still did it before 30! I used to watch my mom play this when I was a kid, love this game, from the music to the sound effects to the graphics. It definitely catches your attention as a kid. My 3 year old son watched me play most of my play-through.
You know I kind of wish that what they did was they took skyward sword wind Waker in twilight princess and mash them all for the 35th anniversary of Zelda kind a like Mario
Too unlikely. If they decided to do that I feel like they’d do ocarina of time, majoras mask and twilight Princess. Then do a celebration with wind waker phantom hourglass and spirit tracks
Who else remembers getting Windwaker on Christmas morning for their Gamecube? Only the true Zelda fans remember the original from '03 those were the times. Ocarina of Time, Majors Mask, Windwaker. Those were the times.
Such a great game. Close to being the best Zelda game in terms of story. Very deep actually, if you think of it. But a little on the easy side at first, in gameplay, which they kind of fixed a little in the remaster. Ocarina is still my favorite, but this one takes the cake in terms of animation. ( I haven't finished BOTW, so no spoilers). They could really do an animated series with this art style if Nintendo wanted to, and I would watch it.

About 1 year after the GameCube was released. I really enjoyed Mario Golf on the GameCube as well. I was always good at video games as a kid, but Mario Golf was tough to get 100%. 4 years after this game Nintendo would release the Wii in 2006, with Twilight princess as a launch title. Some of you may have been alive in 1998 for OOT. Probably more in 2006 for the Wii. But perhaps you were very young. The Wii was highly sought after when it came out. The new controller system was somewhat similar to what we see today with VR setups; where the user is made to feel more control over the character by using body movement to control the game. Eventually you could use a controller on the Wii.

Best game of my childhood. Been playing since. Try not to use a guide lile the old days just try to figure it out. Will take you 3 months minimum at that pace. Or a week if youre using a guide
I just realized that the plot of this game is basically just the original trilogy. You start out in the middle of nowhere, and you’re raised by a family member who isn’t your parents, whose whereabouts are unknown, there’s an old guy who teaches you how to use a sword, your sister is captured and taken to a big scary fortress that you have to return to later, there’s a guy in black who works for the real antagonist, who you confront at basically a bigger version of the big scary fortress from before.
Check up on Joseph Campbell's "The Hero's Journey" and you'll realise that basically every traditional story that has a hero who comes from humble beginnings follows just and about this same structure.
I do enjoy it when you finish a foe using their own weapon! 😁 Also, listening to and observing those Wizrobe creatures as they die; I think of Zant and his behaviour towards the end of Twilight Princess.
Without this guide I don't know how I'd complete this game. I don't understand how you're supposed to know how to get some items (eg. cabana deed) or know how to go about getting the ghost ship Triforce piece. It's baffling, so thank you!

I loved BOTW and 100% completed the game (still have to finish the sword trials and try master mode though) Anyway..I have since bought and played Links Awakening, Pre Ordered Skyward Sword, played A Link to the Past on Switch Online…..I found game play of Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Majora’s Mask and now this Wind waker on Twitch and UA-cam…..I want to be able to play them all!!!! I haven’t had a game console or handheld since NES/Gameboy the originals :) now I have the Switch and no way to play these Zelda games now that I am a New Zelda Fan!!! Bring ‘em all over Nintendo…..PLEASE!!! Lol
Thanks for the video…until Nintendo brings them to Switch I will live vicariously through you!!!
Same. BotW was my first game. Skyward Sword’s my soon to come second. Really hope it uses button only controls, or else I’ll be mad lol 😂
@@Julia.Taunton-Clark99 it doesn't it either motion controls or the joystick
You could just emulate the "old" Zelda games on your pc or even on your phone if you don't want to wait for nintendo to make a port of them for the Switch
@@juan1187 don’t have a PC, all I have is an Ipad and a cell phone and my Switch….and to legally emulate the games I would still have to purchase them. If I am going to spend money on something I want to be able to fully enjoy them and using a tiny phone screen to play Twilight Princess….well that just won’t cut it for me. lol….like I said I will live vicariously through others willing to share their walkthroughs and patiently hope that they come to the Switch is some capacity……already getting the opportunity to play Ocarina of Time with the new Online Expansion coming end of October…they said Majora’s Mask will be available too….who knows the others may come along shortly.
@@KorokHunter "and to legally emulate games I would still have to purchase them".
No dude, you don't. Search the internet hard enough and you will find the games...
You have some options to be honest, get a Wii or Wii U (or your Switch) and put homebrew on them. You can literally play games from NES up to current gen.
This game actually had some really smooth graphics and the gameplay was so dope! Never played this game and now I wanna get the game!
MM, TP, and WW are my all time favorite Zelda games!!
botw>>
@@ribbie5362 but is botw really a Zelda game? Also it’s good to see someone with some good majoras mask taste
@@charlzthedrummer Yes BotW is a Zelda game. Now that doesn't mean it's a good Zelda game, but it still is one regardless of if you like it or not.
This game is the only reason i still have and play my wii u
Yes, im gonna watch the whole 15 hours of it and no one can stop me from doing it. (Pls dont take the video offline or privat, ty)
Beautiful 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥 love this game so much .. grew up playing it
Wind waker is so nostalgic
I got myself a GameCube and i am looking forward to trying this.
Best game of my childhood. Been playing since. Try not to use a guide lile the old days just try to figure it out. Will take you 3 months minimum at that pace. Or a week if youre using a guide
I can beat it on the linear campaign no sidequests in one full day lol
@@BenSommersOfficial Having a hard time with the graphics, Is there any way to get the picture to be better?
Not that i know of
@@smaariseth its a 20 year old game man
Thumbnail is a nice picture of Zelda and Link spending time together
First game I ever played gave me so much joy, but I can't find another game like it
Dudemanbro is seriously good at this game. Respect to the Beard.
Thanks for doing this - its alot of effort for not that much reward for you - much appreciated.
Fue bueno ver esta otra aventura en forma de película, nunca lo termine, y ahora voy por la siguiente travesía, gracias
AWESOME VIDEO!
WELP, I'm going to sleep, I know what I'll be watching tomorrow tho
4:01:06-4:01:40 my guy was raging behind that😂 lmao I would’ve been pissed too
YOURE SO GOOD AT THE CANNON BALL SQUID GAME!!!
Excelent. Thanks a lot for video.
soooo goooood im never not going to love the legend of zelda trilogy. its too good and it was my only childhood
…The Legend of Zelda isn’t a trilogy, there’s 19 games
@@yang6642 you know exactly what i mean you goof.
Also, listening to and observing those Wizrobe creatures as they die; I think of Zant and his behaviour towards the end of Twilight Princess.
Without this guide I don't know how I'd complete this game. I don't understand how you're supposed to know how to get some items (eg. cabana deed) or know how to go about getting the ghost ship Triforce piece. It's baffling, so thank you!
This game was so fun😭😭
The luck you had with the battleship mini game was crazy, that's a run ender for speed runs lol
Not any more. Sploosh Kaboom has been solved.
@@atskooc Unh uh...
This made me die of nostalgia
The legend of Zelda the wind waker is a very old video game it’s like 21 years old
I wasn't expecting to cry today😭 new sub
