Getting A Crashed RZR Out Of Pritchet Canyon

  • We got a call for a crashed RZR at the bottom of Chewy Hill on Pritchet Canyon Trail. We decided to take Trailmater with trailermater, and Wile E for support. We got there and got it loaded up on the trailer. The climbs out were a little tough, but with some creative winching we got around and up everything. Got it to the shop and used Big D to unload it. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

By this logic, nobody should be able to ride anywhere. Those trails are just a path somebody tried to climb or drive through.

Back in the day (1980"s) we used to trail ride all over in the Sonoran Desert area and it wasn't a issue. Then a bunch of idiots started going out there and tearing up the land. Now it's closed off to everyone. My kids and their kids will never haxe those memories and it's really sad. All because of idiots.😢

I give my heartfelt thanks to Rory and friends for teaching me how to use open differentials when stuck. I went from zero to hero after unintentionally backing my Camry into a culvert in front of my wife, adult daughter and some of her coworkers. With a rear wheel a foot in the air and people screaming and gasping, I realized I'd made a big mistake. I became "Rory" and didn't dig my one spinning wheel very far into the sand. I braked hard, loaded the torque converter with some engine RPM and slowly released the brakes. The car popped right out with the one wheel in the air. In that instant, I went from "What an Idiot" to "That save was impressive" .

I truly can't believe Rory was a little nervous descending Down and Dirty, I mean, there was still 3 wheels on the ground even though 95% of Trailmater weight and 70% of the trailer weight was on the right-front wheel. And to see the side-winch used for more than pulling Trailmater/Diamond-Bill Rocker-Pecker eggs was awesome. Rory, you are THE true Moab Off-Road MASTER 👍

I've loved watching your videos since the very first time I found your channel. I have 20 years in construction and have always enjoyed rigging and moving heavy things with equipment as well as 4 wheeling. However, my experience 4 wheeling is in the woods, fields and mud. Your channel drew my wife and I to Moab to meet you. We rented a Jeep and went wheeling. I have a whole new appreciation for what you do after having been there and we only did the easy stuff compared to this video. I also now take it far more personal seeing any part of that land scape destroyed by disrespectful people. There is no reason to go off the trail. NONE!

A baby Boomer myself, 50 years ago I was up in the Jemez mountains in New Mexico cutting a permit load of firewood. My saw ran out of gas and as I was walking up to my truck to refill, I heard what I thought was a modified chainsaw. Nope! It was a guy on a dirt bike and in between these 2 trees was a deep rut. I thought to myself at the time "I know how to stop this". A thin long piece of piano wire about 4 feet above the ground nailed to both trees with fencing staples. Then I met a guy that was part of a dirt bike club that said, "we have trails all over the Jemez Mountains". I was taught to "Tread Lightly" so future generations could experience the beauty too. They don't tread lightly today. Those mountains are not fun to visit today as IDIOTS can't respect our National Forests or National Parks or State Parks.
As the song goes " This land is my land, this land is your land" but the Dayum "expletives" messed it all up.

The ingenuity and ruggedness of your trailer build really showed it prowess on that recovery. Trail mater got a workout also, but we already know how strong the truck is and of course Rory's skill is always top notch.
Then add in a 'public service announcement' to thoughtless off roaders, "don't be an idiot!"

I-40 between the New Mexico State line and the California state line go watch Murphy's Diesel, then go watch the most impressive in Los Angles called Pepe's Towing Services, click on videos and go check out what the term they use called "Car Fishing". CHP calls Pepe's first because they are the fastest recovery at getting those crazy Los Angeles freeways opened back up. Loaded tractor-trailers laid over.
