Thanks bud! I have to say, I rather refurbish or build something that I like, then buy it off a shelf. A local CBer that owns 2 new in the box ($300) 575 M6 was laughing at me when I told him about refurbishing a mic. He stopped laughing when I came on the air with a (parts mic) 115 bucks…
Thanks buddy! As we speak im working on adding a phone connection to the microphone, hopefully we will be able to play sounds from the mic instead of having to add noise toy into the radio

Fantastic mics (teardrop 575 m6) saw one on eBay the other day going for £250 (not sure what that is in dollar$) a lot probably. I enjoyed your video. Take care brother (coming from London England 👍👍
Thanks buddy! Now working on a noise toy built into the mic. Lol. 250£ around 280UDS maybe. Just bought another one 575 to refurbish making noise toy in it!
Thanks bud! Im still messing around with mics , im adding a noise toy to them instead of noise toy installed on the radio and will be unlimited sounds!!
I use that contact cleaner designed to clean and lubricate electronics after I spray it with air, always had good luck with it . I forget the name of it
I should have Not mentioned contact cleaner, ( yes It is good) , apparently they never used cleaner on that mic instead seams like they used cooking oil because of all that gunk I removed from it.. Thanks for the flowers bud!
That’s impressive!! It sounds great!! Was removing the board on the Red Road Devil difficult? I want to buy one but don’t like red. Wasn’t sure if the board is glued or screwed in. Thank you!! Btw… I am going to check out your vid for the channel selector buttons.👍🏼
Thank you! If you don’t like the red color you can use a shell of a astatic 675 with the board of a Road devil. You will have to cut out a slot for the level switch on the side, is very easy Only one screw holding the board near the center.
Very nice radio wow
Very very good modifications !!!!! Congratulations!!
I like those mic's couldn't find one when I had my anytone set up so I went with a 636 with the chrome cord and I also have one on my 98vhp
Loving the consul. Brilliant. I use the Astatic Road Devil mobile on my CRT9900. Great combo. 26CT9484.
Thanks for the flowers buddy!
Yess RD 104 is a very reliable mic, I used it for quite some years.
but there is nothing like the 575m6 in my opinion.
Deoxit works to clean it very well..
Very nice work , sounds really good . Great work , even on the black mic , pretty impressive adding the channel up/down switch 👍
There is a guy on Facebook often selling 575 used .. here is his profile facebook.com/paul.donahue1
Lookin good man. I like when people build things for themselves. Too many out there just Lego things together
Thanks bud!

What can be used to replace the microphones original capsule?
My RD sequels just like that on my 955. No matter where my slider is. It clears up after awhile but it’s annoying as hell.
High, I'm in UK, I have that mike, but my speaker/mike bit don't actually work. Any idea where I can get a replacement
Hey hey!!!
Ask this guy , tell him I sent you!
