Yes yes yes. That’s why I also used micro tactile buttons. On the black mic I fixed the sloppy job from before but on the red/black 575 I think that is the best location for buttons.!!!! Thanks again buddy!!
great job as always.. just another awesome video to watch n another sweet project to see u accomplish!! thanks again for sharing with us viewers!! 73s to u n the Miami fam!! 💪💪💪✌️
I appreciate that. You confirmed just what I thought that's how you wire those switches up. So my 2950 is going to get switches on it Turner mic's and my d104. Yes my ranger 2950 is going to be my base station.
Im glad I was able to help you buddy! One suggestion though if you need to remove and solder back again the mic (red/black) wires from the center board or battery wires , is best to cut them and splice back again. All this new cheap boards can’t take heat and conducive lines are very fragile.
That looks fantastic!!! Total OEM looking. I think you might be on to something if you start selling these already modded!! Yes it’s a niche market but I think it could work. The mod looks tons better than some of the ones I have seen with bulky buttons.
Thanks buddy!!! Yesss I had to come up with a nicer and comfortable buttons and that was the results! Nahhhh Not selling…. Too much time envolved for little profits
Hola mi hermano! Normalmente las condiciones se dan muy fácil para Venezuela y Puerto Rico pero en estos últimos días Mexico se estuvo dando bien fuerte…aquí te dejo un vídeo de anoche hacia México. Very nice and professional looking . Too bad this isn’t a factory option . Hint hint ,, there’s you some business right there , I would pay you money to have that done for my old school Ranger 2970 DX
Thanks bud! I was thinking of starting doing some repairs and refurbishing along with consoles and antennas, but there’s a very limited market. Thinking of jumping back on trucking OTR soon. 73’s
@@102MobileCustomCB That’s a tough stressful living , you just have to really enjoy it . I was a Trooper for 8 years , I understand the lifestyle of a truck driver and always 100 % respected them and “took care of them” and they did the same for me . As far as a market for those consoles and mic modifications,, brother you’re setting on a goldmine . It’s all about advertising, trust me that is some next level stuff we in the radio hobby that have a passion for it would pay you what your worth for that kind of stuff👍. I encourage you to take a leap of faith , build a few basic consoles that will fit and mount in most any truck without a factory console in the way , design them for your basic Cobra 29’s and Uniden / President radios (get the demensions) ,, post one or two for sale and watch how quickly they go . Design in a couple cup holders , 12 volt outlets , external speaker with some RF chokes to avoid squill and feedback ,, I think you’d be surprised how busy you could stay !

How are you using the Riad Devil without the squeal from talk back? Did you turn down the mic gain on the radio?
