Have you ever driven the Overseas Highway? and if so what do you recommend that we didn't get a chance to do? and if you haven't... what was your favorite stop we visited on this road trip?!
I am done that drive hundreds of times and never gets old, but always gets longer. three Great stops in Islamorada Lazy days. Lorelei and Islamorada Brewery & Distillery
I've driven in twice, and ridden it on a bicycle once. Fantastic route! I will be planning my next time now, thanks to this video. I will also be adding in a lot more stops that you guys have suggested.
You guys really are inspiring me to continue to travel to each state and int. after with my daughter! Our dream/vision has died down but I have watched EVERY SINGLE one of your guys videos and it really is inspiring me so much to go to the places yall have gone that we havnt been! We’ve been all over the west coast and dream about Florida… your videos have us so excited to start back up. Thank you for your channel! ♥️🙌🏼
History shows that meringue is traditional. I speak from first hand questions to an 80yr old conch! Her mama said is started out with meringue. Glad you had fun in the Keys!
Oh wow!! Really?! That is so cool!!! Thank you so much for sharing that with us! It definitely was something we had never had before and we are so looking forward to going back for more! 🤣👌🏼😜 Thanks so much for watching & for letting us know that fun fact!
Thanks for the beautiful video !! We visited The Keys in December 2023 all the way from South Africa !!! Most beautiful place in the world !!! Thanks again!!
I love the Florida keys. You did the little road trip right. I’ve taken that drive many times. So much more to see. One year, I drove all the way to key west from NJ. I now live in SWFL. If you guys are there for the fantasy fest, it’s lots of fun.
The Keys are just so beyond special! 👌🏼🏝️ You are so right!! So much to see, do & eat along the way! Hope we can go back and take more time exploring all the way down! Wow! What an epic roadtrip! 🎉 LOVE SWFL I have so many friends and family members in that area! So beautiful. Ohh we’ll have to put that on our list to check out!
What a fun drive. We drove our van camper to Key West in the Spring of 1978 and there weren't any of the fun stops you experienced and wish I could do it again now. We canoed in the Everglades and tried fishing off a beach and there were great blue herons who came to eat our live shrimp bait out of our bucket...kinda like those pelicans that tried to get a free meal from you at Robbie's. I wish we could have fed the tarpon...that looked like so much fun! I remember the sunsets along the Florida coast were amazing. Thanks for sharing your fun with us. Looking forward to more key lime pie eating...I prefer the meringue over whipped cream, but the best pie is whatever's in front of me...haha Love you two!! 🤗❤️❤️
Hey!! Wow!! What an EPIC adventure y’all went on! So cool! A dream would definitely be to do a camper van down to Key West! That sounds so awesome! Thanks for sharing that with us! 🥰 ohhh did y’all see any gators on your canoe trip? 🐊 THOSE SUNSETS RIGHT?! Wow! So beautiful! Bahahaha AINT THAT THE TRUTH?! Any pie in front of us will do! 🤣👌🏼 Thanks so much for watching & being a part of our YT family! We appreciate you! 🥰
Loved your video! My husband and I spent our honeymoon in the Keys in May of 2002 and enjoyed it so much that we went back 18 more times for our vacation. We always stay in Marathon and drive to Key West for at least a day. We have been to all of the places that you showed on this video except Mrs. Macs kitchen. We rented a boat that was at the Keys Fisheries marina in 2003 and 2004. Keys Fisheries was actually our favorite place to eat, although last May it seemed that the quality went down. I know they had staffing problems at the time. If you like their Key lime pie, you can buy a whole pie for $20. My favorite Key lime pie was from The Wreck on Grassy Key and Sparky's Landing in Marathon. I wish that I could live in the Keys at least during the winter months just to escape the cold Connecticut winters. Keep up the good work and enjoy your travels!
Oh wow!! That is sooo awesome y’all have been so many times! So please give us all the recommendations! It’s such a beautiful place, we can’t wait to go back! 😍🏝️ I agree about staying at another island and making day trips! That’s probably what we will do next time! Thank you so much for watching & for taking the time out to comment! It made our day! 💗🥰
Awe.....i am jealous..... when we drove from Orlando to Key West, we stopped at a place and I was soooo stoked that they had Gator on the menu! OUT OF STOCK!!!
Loved this video of yours, will be leaving China Grove NC heading to the Keys 1 June you’re tips are helpful so y’all keep up the good work and have fun doing it. As a side note, at mallory Square the evening of this video in the background you hear a bugle playing Retreat probably coming from the Coast Guard or naval base nearby
Great video! I have been going to Bahia Honda and staying in the cabins every spring break for years. My parents winter down there (we are from Indiana). We love that state park! If your in Marathon again try Burdines Waterfront. They have a great fried Key Lime Pie. The Keys Fishery is one of my favorite places to eat though!
Aw, thanks so much!! Bahia Honda is so awesome! We definitely want to go back! Ooo... We'll have to check out Burdine's Waterfront next time! fried Key Lime Pie sounds amazing! Lol... Thanks for the recommendation!
Never had Alligator loved you guys reaction feeding the fish not sure I would do that. I have tried the fritters they look similar to our clam cakes in Rhode Island. We are planning a trip to Key West in February it's one of the stops on a cruise.
It kinda tastes like chicken! 🤣😜🤷🏼♀ baha It was an interesting experience feeding those fish! bahaha I was so scared to! 🤣💀 Ohhh clam cakes sounds amazing!!! I could use some of those right now! haha Ohhhh exciting!! Y’all will have a great time there!! 🎉🎉🎉
So great to see you both back! Florida is great and the food is amazing. Whip cream on my Key Lime pie. Luv the vlog, stay safe and have fun y’all 🙏👍✈️🦩🥤…Praying for the people of Florida for a quick recovery!
Hey Reuben!!! We are so happy to be back!! 🥰🎉 Thanks for the warm welcome! Florida is great!! I sure miss it! Thanks so much for watching & being on this adventure with us! God Bless! 🥰❤

Saw Fred the tree on the RR bridge at 17:07. Love Fred! Try Santiago's Bodega at the end of Petronia next time you're in KW> Awesome place, awesome food!!
Ahh love that you’ve had it!! Ohhh we’ve never had it in New Orleans! Guess we will have to go back & try it now! 🤣😜 Thanks so much for watching & for your kind comment! It made our day! 🥰 Hope you have soooo much fun in Key West! It’s such a great and beautiful place! 🏝️
I have tried Alligator before. 10 years ago my hubby and I, went to Miami for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We did an air boat tour over the Everglades, and it was weird to hold a baby gator, and then have gator bites... It was good though. The texture was like dark meat chicken, but with less flavor, like white meat. There's a place here in NC that serves up Louisiana cuisine, and they have gator bites there. May have to get my kids to try it when they visit for the holidays.
WHAT?! You held a BABY gator?? 🐊 how fun!!! I would’ve LOVED that! Matt & I have never done an airboat ride together! That’s something we should add to the list! So thanks for sharing that! YES!!! That’s the best way to describe gator! Ohh that would be so fun to experience together!
Fun video! We did this trip this summer and had a great time. We stopped at several of the same places. I had a shark swim about 4 feet from me at Bahia Honda. Can't wait to see your time in Key West!
Oh wow! So fun!! It's a great road trip right? WHAT!?! 4 feet from you! I (Nat) may have passed out! haha 🤣😜🙈 Glad you made it out in 1 piece. lol Thanks so much for watching & foe being on this adventure with us! 🥰
So good right!? 😜👌🏼 YES!!! You absolutely should! It was so much fun & so much to make the drive go by so quickly! Highly recommend! You'll have to let us know your thoughts when you do it! 🥰 Thanks so much for watching! - Nat
Aww thank you so much for taking the time to watch & for your kind comment! Makes our day! 🥰🎉 We appreciate you more than you know!! Hoping we can get to Argentina sooner than later! 😜
ever thought about doing a video talking about balancing travel with work? i had assumed you were both remote so to find out you travel on days off was very surprising ! might help some people who work full time realize they can still travel lol love your videos!
Ohhh that’s a good idea! We hadn’t thought about that! We get that a lot! 🤣 I guess we should say that more in our videos that we aren’t remote and that we travel on off days! Lol 😂 We would absolutely love to inspire others to travel in any amount of time that they have! 🥰 Thanks so much for watching & for being a part of this adventure with us! 🎉
Yes, I have tried alligator and liked it! Loved seeing my friends enjoy some Florida time. Were those palmettos in between palm trees in the drive down? If so that’s perfect combo: a little bit of Matt and a little bit of Nat.
It kind of tastes like chicken.. right? lol 🤣🤷🏼♀ Aww thanks so much friend! It was a fun trip! Ohhh good question... I'll have to rewatch & ask Matt haha wow!! That's sooo true!! 🤣👌🏼😜
I had alligator at Lake Weir in Northern Florida Yes. You guys should have gone to the Turtle Hospital and Dolphin Research Center in Marathon. You should go snorkeling, take a sailboat to the Dry Tortugas and the old fort there (1 day boat trip). Also, when in Key West make sure to go to Hemingway House, Mile 1, butterfly museum and eat on Duval St. For people with kids, Boondocks Draft Bar on Torch Key is handy because the giant cabana is great for adults to relax but the kids can do mini golf or dance. There's also lots of other cute outdoor restaurants with entertainment so don't just stick to #1 places. If you're on a budget trip, instead of paying a fortune at a restaurant you can grocery shop at Marathon Key half way and eat on the run.
The bugle at the end wasn't Mallory Square was from the Naval Base. At sundown when the Flag is being lowered they play by bugle. It's called "Retreat". Happens at sundown on all US Military bases.
Awesome video guys!!! We are headed there in December. Thank you for the travel tips you guys always find the best things to do. We are happy to finally see another video from you guys, keep them coming. Love the shots, the drone shots are beautiful. You guys did the Keys a solid video, and we cannot wait to go back to the keys again.
Aww y’all are the absolute best!! We appreciate y’all more than you know! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks! We’re excited to be back! 🎉🎉 We’re excited to see y’all’s video! Y’all are gonna have the best time! It’s a lot of fun! Thanks for making our day friends! 🥰
@@AdventuresofMattandNat thank you…..we are so excited how much you guys have grown with your channel. Y’all are doing really well but most importantly, y’all’s videos are entertaining and we look forward to seeing each one. Keep at it and hopefully our paths will cross again some day.
@@MarkandRad Hey! How was your trip? How was the weather when you were down there in December? I am planning on making a trip to the Keys in December this year!
Robert is here is on the mainland about 30 miles south of downtown Miami, right in Homestead...also near there is Knaus Berry Farm with their famous bakery cinnamon rolls, milkshakes from homemade ice cream, jellies, james, garlic sticks, pies, cakes, but IMPORTANT, you gotta take cash, no credit cards, and unless you get there early on a Saturday, expect to stand in a 45min to 1 hr waiting line. They have a website where can order and have it shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states. They are closed on Sundays as they are very religious Mennonite folks.
That makes more sense!🤣🤣 Someone had told us that they would have an “alarm”/signal sound when sun set at Mallory Square and I just heard the sound quickly out of the corner of my ear and assumed! My bad!🙈
Great Vid. Yes, I did try fried Alligator Bits. It does not taste like chicken. Not my favorite. Maybe different chef at different location. I only made it to Marathon from Key West, so I didn't see Hwy One north of Marathon, but would like too some day.
Don't think I've ever had alligator before, but will be trying it in July. We were supposed to be there this week, but my wife broke her ankle and we had to reschedule. Definitely looking forward to experiencing the Keys! Thanks for all of the awesome and informative content.
Love this!! The three National Parks in Florida are on my bucket list, and I’m so excited that it means driving through the Keys!! We had alligator for the first time in Hilton Head and I loved it! We get some every time we’re in the southeast now. 😋 omg feeding the tarpons…. I can’t wait to try it but I’m also terrified. Lol 😂
Y’all are the best!! And we are LOVING the rebrand! 🎉💗👌🏼 y’all have to do this Road trip! You won’t regret it! Right?! Most people are like ewww alligator?! But it’s so good! Happy y’all like it as well! 🐊 oh girl… I was soooo terrified! Lol 😂 but it was so much fun! It definitely got your adrenaline pumping! 🤣💀 Thanks so much for watching! 🥰
Y’all’s videos are so good! Y’all should also start posting on Rumble. It’s an up and coming video streaming site and they don’t have as much of this type of content. A lot of political stuff so would be great to have more creators like y’all on there! You would certainly have less competition. 😉 also how often does Matt fly while you are attending?
Awww you are the sweetest! 🥰 Thank you so much for watching! Ohhh we’ve never heard of it!! Will definitely have to check it out! Thanks so much for mentioning it to us! 🥰💗 Sooo I’m actually a Ticket & Gate Agent… so I get to come home every night! 🥰 I used to be in the Music Industry & was literally gone 6+ months out of the year so I needed something where I was home more. But to answer your question… Matt rarely flys without me unless we are doing music, or visiting family. I guess you could say we are kind of attached at the hip. 🤣😜👌🏼 Thank you so much for watching & for your kind comment Destin we truly appreciate you! 🥰💗🎉 - Nat
Great video, assuming this was done before hurricane Ian. So sad. Love Key West and whip cream on my Key Lime pie. Did you stay the night or go back? Curious where you stayed if you did. So much to see and do and it's been a few years since we've been down there. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much for watching! Yes it was! Was there a lot of damage to key west during the hurricane? So we went down & we did spend the night at the Southernmost Inn! We truly enjoyed our time there! Can’t wait to go back! Thanks so much for taking the time out to comment! 🥰
Hurrican Ian missed the Keys....in 2017, Hurricane Irma, that's another story....I am in the western Miami suburbs and we had 20 hours of 40+ mph gusts, but strangely only one strong band from Ian, the night before it hit the Ft Meyers area
😊Hey guys! That super duper big fruit is called a Durian, I believe, because you said the outside was spikey. "Some people confuse the jackfruit with the durian fruit, which looks similar, but there is a large difference. Durian has a strong odor that may not be pleasant to everyone; jackfruit smells sweet. Durian fruits are also much smaller than jackfruit; and the outside of durian may have spiky "thorns," while a jackfruit has smooth bumps on its surface." I love Jack Fruit though 🧡 When Ripe it tastes like juicy fruit gum! "Curiously, there is a fruit out there known to taste almost exactly like Juicy Fruit- a lesser known fruit from the shores of Africa and Asia known as Jackfruit. Jackfruit tastes so much like Juicy Fruit gum that it is often one of the first things mentioned when it’s discussed by Western media and there is a small, but nonetheless dedicated subset of people who believe that it is the key secret ingredient in the gum."
I am also lactose intolerant… and I also still eat dairy products and just suffer through it 🙈 all I can say is, you’re BRAVE for doing it on a road trip!!! 😆
Hahaha I’m glad I’m not alone in just suffering through the dairy! Lol it’s just too good! 🤣🙈🤷🏼♀️😜 but I am blessed that my symptoms aren’t super bad anyways… hence why I risk it! 🤣 but I should be bringing pills with me, but I always forget!🙈🥛🧀
Aww thanks so much! We appreciate you watching & being a part of this adventure with us! 🥰 So Matt is a musician, songwriter & producer & I work for an airline!
@@AdventuresofMattandNat awww dude. That is soooo cool . You should do some airline videos and Matt some song covers and stuff, I would totally watch those too. Y’all are so cool 😎
Totally understand the travling, UA-cam and full time jobs. It's like having 3 full time jobs. We want to go back to Key West we went quite a few years ago but it was a stop on a cruise.
SOOO TRUE!!! We know y’all would understand. It’s so nice not feeling alone in it all! 🥰 oh I bet that was a fun port day!! 🎉 it’s a beautiful little island! 🏝️
Have you ever driven the Overseas Highway? and if so what do you recommend that we didn't get a chance to do? and if you haven't... what was your favorite stop we visited on this road trip?!
Next time take Card Sound Road instead of US1 and eat at Alabama Jack's. The seafood is right off the boat.
I am done that drive hundreds of times and never gets old, but always gets longer. three Great stops in Islamorada Lazy days. Lorelei and Islamorada Brewery & Distillery
When we did that trip down, we rented a convertible. Was so fun
I've driven in twice, and ridden it on a bicycle once. Fantastic route! I will be planning my next time now, thanks to this video. I will also be adding in a lot more stops that you guys have suggested.
Miami to Key Largo - a pain; Key Largo to Key West - priceless
Bahahaha you are speaking the truth! 🤣👌🏼 soo true! Thanks so much for watching & for your comment! Made our day!
I'm going there in about a month. What makes it a pain?
@@Princeton_James Traffic from Miami to Key Largo was terrible the couple of times I drove it. Other than that stretch, the drive is awesome.
Still very much worth the drive !!!
Instead of taking US1 to the keys, try the lesser used road of Card Sound Road. Less traffic.
You guys got a great vibe, elegance and that is also felt in the videos 🙌👏✌️👍

Aww... Thank you so much! 🥰🥰 And thanks for watching!
You are eating lunch at the greatest place, all of the Monroe County Sheriffs stop here for lunch on A1A! I stop there when I drive to Key West!
The bugle at the end wasn't Mallory Square was from the Naval Base. At sundown when the Flag is being lowered they play by bugle. It's called "Retreat". Happens at sundown on all US Military bases.
Makes more sense! Thanks for the clarification and thanks for watching!
💙💙💙Wow....!!! SO MUCH FUN...!!!
@@MarkandRad Aww, thanks guys! Y'all are awesome! And yes... Hopefully our paths cross again!
@@MarkandRad Hey! How was your trip? How was the weather when you were down there in December? I am planning on making a trip to the Keys in December this year!
Great video..your other half is stunning !!!
Thank you so much!! And yes… I couldn’t agree more!!😍😊
Great video ... thanks!!!
Aw, thanks!! We appreciate you watching!😊
We were there last week!! Drove from fort myers…. We missed that fruit stand darn it 😂can’t wait to see what else you did
Robert is here is on the mainland about 30 miles south of downtown Miami, right in Homestead...also near there is Knaus Berry Farm with their famous bakery cinnamon rolls, milkshakes from homemade ice cream, jellies, james, garlic sticks, pies, cakes, but IMPORTANT, you gotta take cash, no credit cards, and unless you get there early on a Saturday, expect to stand in a 45min to 1 hr waiting line. They have a website where can order and have it shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states. They are closed on Sundays as they are very religious Mennonite folks.
Loved this so much.
Awww thank you so much Taylor! We appreciate you more than you know! 🥰
Never had alligator but heard it's a MUST try!
Definitely recommend giving it a try! Lol
thanks for sharing going this summer of 2023
Absolutely! Happy to help! Hope y’all have an amazing time!!
That alarm at Sunset is at all military bases lol not for Mallory Square 🤣 TAPS
That makes more sense!🤣🤣 Someone had told us that they would have an “alarm”/signal sound when sun set at Mallory Square and I just heard the sound quickly out of the corner of my ear and assumed! My bad!🙈
@@AdventuresofMattandNat not at all! But it always sounds off at sunset so I guess it is technically meant for the sunset celebration 🍾
Be on the lookout for the miniature deers and the salt water crocs crossing the road
WHAT?! Really? That’s super cool!
Whipped cream on key line pies ... i've been to the keys several times I live in Melbourne Florida
And yes, we have made the trip several times
Great Vid. Yes, I did try fried Alligator Bits. It does not taste like chicken. Not my favorite. Maybe different chef at different location. I only made it to Marathon from Key West, so I didn't see Hwy One north of Marathon, but would like too some day.
I'm waiting to see the video of Gatlinburg Tennessee when we met the other day...lol.
We can't wait to share it! And it was great meeting you!
Gonna go to No Name Pub in Pine Key, yummy pizza & you need get a Key Lime on Stick in Key west, so yummy
What?! Key Lime on a stick?! That’s a win for us! 🎉🙌🏼 Thanks for watching & for the recommendation! 🥰💗🎉
Great channel!! still taking my baby steps lol
Aw, thank you so much!!🥰🥰
Love your energy and content was amazing... following :)
Awww thanks so much for your kind comment! Made our day! 🥰💗
My hubby loves conch fritters!
Don't think I've ever had alligator before, but will be trying it in July. We were supposed to be there this week, but my wife broke her ankle and we had to reschedule. Definitely looking forward to experiencing the Keys! Thanks for all of the awesome and informative content.
Thank you guys for detailed information about my future family trip , could you give the detail about OOTD ? Can I get it from Amazon ? Thank you
🥰💗🎉 - Nat
Goodness gracious alive that's a beautiful woman. Fun video. Key West is an absolute hoot!
Très belle vidéo.
J ai visité key west il y a 5 ans .
J'ai la chaire de poule.
Go Gators 🐊 love Gator (chicken of the swamp) gator Toston wings sauces very good too
Great video, assuming this was done before hurricane Ian.
Yes it's good
Just share a bite from each! You are in Key West!!!!
Durian fruits are also much smaller than jackfruit; and the outside of durian may have spiky "thorns," while a jackfruit has smooth bumps on its surface."
I love Jack Fruit though 🧡
When Ripe it tastes like juicy fruit gum!
Sooo much knowledge! Thank you tons for sharing! 💗🥰 Now we want a Jack Fruit! They sound AMAZING!! 🤣👌🏼🎉
I eat anything,,,loved it
Love y’all videos ❤ what do yall do for work in addition to UA-cam ?
Aww thanks so much! We appreciate you watching & being a part of this adventure with us! 🥰 So Matt is a musician, songwriter & producer & I work for an airline!
@@AdventuresofMattandNat awww dude. That is soooo cool . You should do some airline videos and Matt some song covers and stuff, I would totally watch those too. Y’all are so cool 😎
Omg love you’re glasses is there a link ?
Natalie is absolutely gorgeous. How have I missed her ‘til now?!?!
This is like feeding Carp bread in Pymatumming , PA
The first time I went to Robbies I wimped out on feeding the Tarpon.....lol
🤣🤣 they are scary! Lol 😂
you guys had me key lime pie
hahaha right?! Isn't it amazing!? 🤣😜👌🏼
I too am a key lime pie, key lime pie kinda guy. No toppings! 😂
🤣🤣 Yessss!!! We don’t discriminate! No topping, whip cream, meringue… we’ll eat it all! Lol
From MI, love good gator!
I go to the Islamorada bakery and just buy the entire pie. LOL True
That's the way to do it! Lol... Definitely a better value! Thanks for watching!😊
How many days do I need to get to know the keys?
no meringue on my key lime! But either is authentic
Imo: the tarpin can go feed themselves 😂
I've never had key lime pie
😂😂 We don't blame you on the Tarpon feeding! Lol... But you have to try Key Lime Pie!
What month did you go to key west?
Hi Omar! Thanks for watching! We went in late May.
Ok, wife wants to know where you got the sunglasses Nat....
Amazon!!! I might have an addiction to sunglasses! Lol… Here’s the link to these glasses though! amzn.to/3z4ohMU
