And of course - Right here on UA-cam!
Really annoyed with how much compression UA-cam applies to this video. The original video isn’t pixelated at all, it’s such a shame the uploaded version is in places. Sorry about that. Either way, I really hope you enjoy. ☺️
Have you already tested the mod called E3 Project? this mod brings some concepts of what was presented in the first demos and that was discarded from the final version of the game.
If you watched it right after uploading it as soon as it was available, that might have been why it didn't look good. UA-cam sometimes needs a couple hours to fully process the video but lets you watch a slightly worse unprocessed version. It looked great to me, I watched it on 1080@60.
@GrilthVatoreI didn’t know that, thank you so much!
could you do like a tutorial on how to add all these mods i wanted to use the slient zombies mod with the mute gong mod but both seem to be incompatible
I’ll be releasing a Dying Light Modding Guide in the next couple of days. Currently working on it. Will message you when it’s Live! 👍
The mode muting sounds is definitely the scariest one, watching a zombie casually coming out of the dark with no sound whatsoever completely off guard is damn terrifying
One of my favourite zombie movies, it’s so unique.
@@GMECRTL oops I think I accidentally deleted my comment. yeah it really was a surprise hit for me very intense
I played it with a horror mod that made every night last 4 times more.I was scared
I love how each mod alters the fundamentals of the vanilla game. It really adds a depth of immersion. Also love the found footage effect on the transitions!
I thought that it was gonna be one of the mods 😂
Fantastic video! You've went into depth with each mod you showcased, and presented them in a nicely edited way as well.
Really appreciate you saying that. Thank you! 👍
hey aussie try playing this mod please )
11:38 This shot went hard. Mini goosebumps when the lightning hit.
I’m proud of getting that shot. Atmospheric or what! Glad you liked it. ☺️
I don't usually comment but this was an amazingly well scripted, edited, and executed video. keep it up.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment. Really put a smile on my face. More videos coming very soon.
2:25 - Night Runner Mode
9:06 - Daywalkers
10:48 - Silent Bites
12:59 - No Sixth Sense
14:19 - Nature Reclaimed
15:21 - Human movement
19:08 - Immersive sounds (Mute Viral Banging Noise, Mute Charged Attacks, No Night Loop, No Spend Reminder)
Hahaha he starts stemming when he gets excited about something my niece does the same thing and its adorable.
the fact you made a lot of these mods just make this insane. good job!
A great watch! I like how you really go in depth, took your time and maintained this calmer, more mature feeling than most mod videos I've seen. Reminds me of those long form e3 gameplay demos. Great cutaway clips that added a lot to the atmosphere!
I really appreciate the kind words, thank you! ☺️
That mute zombies mod… oh my god. imagine walking on a highway on a thunderstorm at night. You climb up a rolled over bus as lightning flashes and you see a VAST horde of zombie in pure silence. That’s terrifying.
I'd personally love a "look at watch" button so I could tell how long I had until night without having to menu. I also really liked that people would get on the radio about an hour before night and give a warning to the runners. I don't know why they stopped doing that. Also, why the heck do I have to drop my flares when I light them? Having that as an option would be nice, but why not just hold it so you can move around with it? Maybe the engine wouldn't handle a moving flare like that very well and the volatiles wouldn't behave as you would expect them to or as they should.
Also, environmental sounds should work both ways. For instance, the rain makes it hard to hear the zombies around me, but it also masks sound I make, letting me take advantage of the moment.
I loved this game and wish I had a buddy so I could play co-op. I'm definitely going to play it again sometime and this video will likely be the guide for how to mod it! Thanks.
I totally forgot to mention that Night Runner Mode comes with a 'look at watch' keybinding which you can set in the menu. Thanks for watching!
I used to "aim" as if I was throwing my melee weapon so that I could look at my watch... but yeah, the mod that allows you to use the proper animation is definitely better.
I hate when the "difficulty" is just: enemies have 500% more health :)
@@Aledraxan Me too. I find games WAY more fun when enemies have new attack patterns, and the player doesn’t have unrealistic abillties. ☺️
That's the case with nightmare difficulty. Honestly, it's shit. Enemy autolevelling is crazy, as soon as i reach new survival level, the zombies get more hp and the new weapon that is supposed to be more damaging, barely feels like that!
The situation got even worse when i reached 25 level of survival. Zombies became the real damage sponges, even with weapons with the highest damage it takes forever to beat them down.
Meanwhile on hard difficulty in the late game you become a real gigachad and easily chop zombies. That's because autolevelling is not crazy and this is the ideal difficulty imho
@@dyadyabafomyot1668 Agreed! More hp is 99% of the time NOT the answer.
The good thing about modding is you can play however the hell you want
Brilliant video. Reinstalled the game, and added some of the mods you suggested. We're enjoying Nightrunner so far, but Rais's men are proving very tough at low level for us.
The vanilla game actually has a mechanic for low levels and dealing with humans. Not many people know, but if you manage to find a gun, you can "hold-up" human enemies that don't have a firearm themselves by pointing any firearm at them and approaching. Just make sure you're quick because eventually the humans will call the bluff and attack/run
Oh my lord, nothing has ever made me want to have a PC so badly in my life, this is such an amazing video, great job! I now desperately need Techland to enable mod support for Dying Light on consoles, so I can actually give myself a reason to have nightmares.
Very interesting and qualitative video, deserves much more views!🙏
I'm starting to think some Techland devs might've seen this video. The new Nightmare difficulty in DL2 disables detection meters and makes it so Survivor Sense no longer highlights enemies
This was put together so nicely, fantastic narration...love the cut found footage editing, reminds me of the ending to the Dawn of the Dead remake when they arrive at the island! 🧟♂🧟🧟♀
This is one of the nicest comments I’ve ever received. Thank you so much! Love that film!
Thank you. I often play modpacks for games without ever playing the original because I want what the community thinks is the actual experience first hand. This mod pack is my dying light quintessential version of the game I have been looking for about 4 hours now.
One of my favourite newly discovered channels. Love the content!
This is amazing. Especially, especially the no noise zombies and volatiles.
Thank you! I’m really pleased I was able to make those mods. The Volatile mod is a game changer, makes night even MORE scary!
@@GMECRTL As for the Night Runner mod, I ended up uninstalling becuase of the constant stamina bar on screen, not bieng able to sleep and the bullet spongey Rais men. For me these are deal breakers. But do you know of a way I can keep the cut dialogue?
I would strongly urge you to reinstall it. Join the Night Runner Discord and I’m sure the mod author will be able to help you. Guns can be made stronger, and you can re-enable sleep by editing a single line. Dead simple to cater the mod to your tastes. 👍
@@GMECRTL DONE! lol. thanks.
What really got me from getting to deep into Dying Light was that the game is so incredibly immersive on an audiovisual level, but then it goes and ruins the atmosphere bit by bit by having a massive amount of goofy and very gamey bits that dilute that feeling of your survival being dependent of having to rely on your primal instincts.
Pitched last night to my buddy that we'd play through Dying Light with these mods by describing that scene with the lighting strike illuminating a road full of dead silent zombies.
the first 10 second got me XD. insta sub and like. I love making this game even more intense, thank you
Great video. I love seeing the original dying light get the love it deserves.
The amount of work gone into this, wow!
Bravo!
The best first 11 seconds I saw in a while.
Well, I'm not gonna lie, the whole video is one of the best videos I saw in a while. It's actually inspiring.
You're really good at reviewing mods! And fixing them too haha. Hope you gonna make video about RDR2 because it has tons of mods
What a brilliant collection of mods. I'm so pumped thank you.
Well done video. I really dig those physics changes. Not sure I'd want anything that requires MORE button mashing, though.
Great video, love the different mods you showed! I already knew about NIGHT RUNNER mode but these another would go great with it!
Check my latest video for an Install Guide. 👍
You should make a video on how to download and combine all of these mods!

this!
Check my latest video for an Install Guide. 👍
great video man this is actually the type of experience I want with dying light
Hope there can be mods like this for DL2
love the video and explanation of each mods. thanks for sharing.
This actually looks unreal
Here's the most important question.
What about bows?
I know we have crossbows but omg I hate that the arrows for the bow track to the body on PC so much when you're aiming at the head
I don't know about you but I love the unspent skills notification jingle
I'm surprised you didn't make a mod for a video camera filter like you used in making this. Along with a slight high pass filter I think it would really be the cherry on top of this nightmare sundae.
Immersive hud and gameplay could make this even more scary btw
I did i complete the game in nightmare two times already and the second run was completely playing in night what a change for sure but now i want some mods for more enjoy nice video
This is freaking awesome!!! Definitely will try this out.
Great video man ❤ the quarantine zone nightrunner mod looks awesome, might use that on my next playthrough. Dying light 2 is incredibly mid next to dl 1. Dl2 is actually a fun game but it just still doesn't have "it", the atmosphere and the vibe that made the original so good.
Damn, boy went crazy with the 36k views, an amazing picture youve painted with all these mods. These are the kinds of videos ive been watching lately. Needed for starfield, jaw dropping for fallout, insane for resident evil, stone cold on cyberpunk and now yet another game that can become the ultimate simulation of fear and extreme combat on the basis of a groundbreaking open world zombie game. With these mods and more dying light can be one of the greatest horror games. Great video man! Just got me thinking... I wonder what kinds of mods there are for The Evil Within!?
Loved the base game and played it a couple times through. But you made great points regarding feeling OP and gameplay getting stale after a bit. Currently reinstalling and looking through the mods you suggested. Likely wont use all of them but definitely most. This was a great video, succinct and entertaining. Look forward to more vids.
After actually trying to install several mods... its headache inducing to merge and combine mods that affect the same thing like audio. Devs definitely didnt make the modding platform easy or accessible. Ended up shelving this until I feel like tackling it for later
Hey, appreciate the kind words. I'm uploading a Dying Light Modding/Merging Guide in the next 24 hours. It's actually dead simple to merge, so you should be able to get them working no problem!
looking forward to watching it! @@GMECRTL
@@Rex-qx2ko The video is Live on my Channel now!
You have officially dethroned I Am Legion, my favorite mod ever, with this list. Will you be expanding on it in the future? I wasn't aware of Night Runner and I'm blown away with it. These gameplay changes really gave me a sense of progression, and even at high levels you don't feel a demi-god that can plow thought hordes of zombies, you just feel like you have better tools and chances to survive one more night.
@DaKussh As you’ve played both mods have you found anything that was in I am legion but missing here? IAL seems to have specialized in improving a lot of ai aspect and spawn density, but I don’t know if NR adds those too? Also for a first playthrough which one would you recommend?
@@IqbalHossain-vg8vr I definitely saw a different. AIL has more zombies roaming the streets, but I have noticed in high density areas with Nightrunner some of the zombies don't react at all when the player is nearby, you have to be at arms reach if not, out of the 20-30 zombies on screeb only about 5 of them would make their way towards the player. The bridge is the easiest place where you can try, because it's there where I noticed this, which in I am legion the threshold is almost triple, where you have about 50 zombies and at least a third of them would react to from far away. But still, it might be just my personal experience, probably the game's engine has some hardcoded stuff that can affect enemy AI depending on the rig or something, because I haven noticed this issue before in vanilla or AIL
These mods are amazing i finally now have a reason to play dying light
I suggest also looking at "Enemy Variety Unlocked".
Having Demolishers at the starting area is just logical to me, more roaming specials and as it says, variety of types.
Excellent video. Really makes me want to give DL1 another go.
damn i never realised to check for dl1 mods lmao awesome
this was a great video, and i love dying light, earned a sub for sure!
I love this video and when i installed these mods i combined it with reshade and a mod that gets rid of the soot and dust in the air, and it is so immersive.
for anyone still wondering how to merge the mods what i did was use night hunter as a base open the data pak3 with winrar and grab all the compatabilite patches and mods combinde each mod with the patches overiding all then add all folders to the opened data pak3 in night hunter exept the scripts audio files you will need each one next grab winmerge or equvilant next you will open the sound file in night hunter scripts folder and each autio file from each mod and add thelines from the mods to night hunter audio files read carefully and only merge new lines the exception is silent bites you wanna change every audio value from that mod to night hunter after done add the night hunter mode data folder to a zip archive and rename it to datapak3 be warned the game is waaaaay harder this way sorry for directions format im on my steam deck keyboad isnt the best will help if able just reply to comment if yu need help
night runner mode!! sorry
@@jcassidy900 wanna coop?
was also kinda wondering if i could get your data pak
ive been messing with it for 2 hours, finally got winmerge running, but it seems so complicated.
Replaced all of the stuff in Winmerge, only to accidentally overwrite it with the last mod I was merging. Was about to do it all over again, but apparently there are a couple of other files that you need to merge with other mods as well. I give up completely for now, but if you could help me out I'd really appreciate it.
11:41 that was great.
As an airstrafe enjoyer, there's no chance I'm installing human movement mod 😂 but I'm loving all the other mods, been playing dl since it came out, and even nightmare is easy by now, this will definitely spice things up, great video, thanks 💜
Man I'd love to play these mods. If you still play the 1st one, here's a hunting ground that I use to splatter volatiles. The slums, to the north. The semi circle bridge over water too. Led, nightvision boosters, flares, and grenades. I did find curious on how the airdrops during the night at 23:20 don't arrive if detected up until or past this time frame.
"Don't worry, enemies haven't been tanked."
Watch OP swing 20 times to kill one zombie lol. A katana should be able to decapitate rotting flesh with one swing. That being said, I do like the idea. Minimizing HUDs, sixth sense and other get out of jail free abilities really do get you more immersed in a realistic world.
amazing video
Id love to see a video like this for dying light 2
good quality video
EXCELLENT video
I’d love to see gameplay with these mods
Wow I'm sold 👍
Would love a full playthrough from you of this modpack!
WOW man great great video.A masterpiece of a video for a masterpiece of a game.Thank u for making this.I loved it.
This is one of the nicest comments I’ve ever received, thank you so much. I really appreciate you saying that. ☺️
@@GMECRTLI mean- a masterpiece cannot be called anything else🤷
Alright I'll play Dying Light 1 again, such a nice video!
Currently I'm replaying Dying Light 2 with I Am Legion installed, it's pretty good. I was wondering if you know any mods similar to the ones in this vid for dying light 2? I'll make my day.
Greetings from Argentina!
Fantastic video, mate..you're a heady zombie fan, I can tell lol. I love the nightrunner mod, but I'm not a huge fan of the white hazmat zombie and the mutant stalker..do you know how I could go about editing them out? I mean no disrespect to the author's choices, I'd just like to refine the experience...I'd also like keep the airdrops supply being cut off in line with the narrative...night runner keeps them throughout the game in and in Old town.. I love the content change to the airdrops, it just ruins my immersion to see them still falling after Brecken tells you that they've stopped...thanks for any help you can provide
Honestly, I did not know that yelling and banging sound was supposed to tell you that the virals were coming.I thought that was just a environment sound like something of the zombies doing it.Because I would just stand then walk somewhere along a roof and then just stop and I would hear that sound but nothing would come, sometimes.
I would watch a playthrough of this
honestly, whenever you show off a clip witht hat little camera filter, it makes me wish for that to be a reshade
I FELT THAT TOO! i wanted it!
I hope techland uses this as a reference for the beast.
Bro, it's 2023, you don't put timestamps in a video, you put them in the description to make nice little chapters everybody can click on. Much love.
can u please do mods for dying light 2 it needs it, u earned a sub fr
That’s really kind of you, thank you! I would highly recommend the mod I Am Legion for Dying Light 2. It overhauls the game in so many ways!
saying dying light 2 is bad is a crime
Hey, I don't know if you've heard but apparently techland reworked a lot of stuff in dl2 so its actually great now. Like, parkour physics are much better now, more parkour moves added like those they promised in the gameplay demos, zombie dismemberment, weapons feel different, takedowns are back, NIGHTS are like in the original now aka dark and full of roaming volatiles... They say its a completely different beast now. Not that i've played, I'm waiting for sales...
Yeah it’s definitely improving isn’t it! I’m waiting for Nightmare Mode because I love a challenge, then I’ll start playing. Thanks for reminding me. ☺️
@@GMECRTLGlad to hear your opinion is not set in stone.
i think at this stage (2024) the only things Dl2 need is more difficult mechanics, and more scares or scarier atmosphere
im on a low end pc so ive never gotten to experience dying light at all even after all these years lol, makes me sad but it is what it is
underrated
Thank you!

Well, time to replay this game from the start with these mods after playing till legend 1000.

There needs to be a proximity chat mod for this game for when you play with friends and to add to the horror aspect
Project zomboid build 42 looking lit
Can't wait for NPCs!
Can you upload some gameplay with the mods, or maybe a series?
Dying light 2 has improved since it released, it now has community mods on pc and Consoles so yay it is getting much better, but still dl 1 is much better, also how the fuck are you so good at editing but so small on youtube?
Edit: when they said community mods, they meant community maps💀💀😭
Good ideeas!
I remember trying Dying Light when it came out and absolutely hated the damage sponge and coloured loot rarity bollocks, they're 2 things that are endemic to most games and make immersion totally impossible for me. I don't want to be constantly reminded I'm playing a game, "buhh zombies aren't real dumb ass" yes but you can suspend your disbelief on the core premise if the world built around it is grounded and makes sense but this often isn't the case. I'd love Dying Light to just be "vulnerable enemies, vulnerable player" a thinking game where you can do as much combat as you like but you actually need to THINK and not just charge around hitting something in the head 40 times because "oh but you need better weapons" no no... What I need is modern mechanics not this lazy stat based shit. This fusion of mods though has given me a glimmer of hope.
I'd really like a mod making guns as they meant to be i guess, that is quite op, extremely usefull and at the same time increasing scarcity of them and especially bullets so that you'd still use melee. At some point in the game (especially in harder difficulties) they loose their impact, making them a bit of a bb gun.
The newest Update of Night Runner Mode lets you easily change weapon damage in the Config file. 👍
Underrated lmao
How do you download it? Pretty much all of the mods use the Data3.pak file so they overwrite each other, and opening the .pak files just shows that most of them also use the same files
I have a Dying Light Modding Guide releasing hopefully within the next 24 hours. Feel free to Subscribe and you'll be notified when it's Live! 👍
@@GMECRTL I will, thank you!
@@prod_fzzy The video is Live on my Channel now!
I agree with the majority of these, just a couple/few I prefer the original to, mostly later in the video. Good video though
I want to try it ! Thank you !
Theres a problem with daywalker mod.
It spawns way too many virals.
If it was like one out of fifty zombies it would be fine but you find yourself constently harrased by two to three virals, it gets annoying and i haven't found a way to balance the spawning rates so i simply removed the mod but i think its a cool feature so if someone knows how to fix it properly i would like to know.
I admire the video presentation than the mods themselves, you'd made them stand out more and giving a must-try or must-play motives along the way.
Can it be played Co-op?
Underrated as fuck video
I liked this mod, until the first night.
You don’t see Volatiles with Survivor Sense. While they see you instantly, sometimes through walls.
I had several cases when a second level chase began without a reason, I crouched down without moving, and it stopped.
It's just not fair, I don't have tools for counter play.
I played this game back in the day on a PS4. This might me to get it on PC and try it again.
Ive been meaning to finish this game but it scares the shit outa me so no way in hell im adding any of these
what's the mod for the realistic ragdolls?
It’s part of the Human Movement mod. You can download the Physics-Only part of the mod in the Optional Downloads. 👍
Hey man, great video! I wanted to ask if I can play online with my friends if all of us have the same mods?
You can indeed!
