One of the most useful bits of advice I got from your channel in regards to painting in an open environment is simple but also game changing when you become aware of it "Bury the dirt!" Keep putting on the clear. I used to do 2.5 coats then light wetsand and buff everything. Now, depending on the solids of the clear, I am doing 3 or even 4 coats if its thinner clear. With 10 to 15 mins between coats. Have a lot less dirt visible to clean up. Now i can just hit the individual nibbies and buff small areas. Unless its a classic, then it gets the full treatment. But the dailies? The Beep Bops? This works👍
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 Yeah man. I came across your videos because I just picked up a beater 06 Corolla that’s faded I wanted to make it look better so I’ve been watching “cheap paint job” videos for weeks. I’m actually from New Cumberland Pa. Was curious if I could get ahold of you for a basic paint job and you can make a video if ya wanted.
Man, I hope your out of the line of fire when you do your pulling! I love the simplicity of it all, the blend is top notch, the dent that was missed adds character! Over all nice work, and a good looking haircut! Can’t wait to drop by sometime and see Marco in his zone!👊👊💪
@@debcolbert3543 Marco is top notch, he works his butt off, and always hussels, he is a genuine great person, enjoyed working with him, he must of had a great teacher, you should be very proud!😎
Thanks for taking the time posting the videos and providing the tips. One very minor issue is that a lot of your videos are posted in reverse. Also looks like your vehicles are right hand drive. 😂
I'd be curious for you to try some PDR. Try using their high strength gluing to pull without having to add heat to that panel. When I had a shop we tried it as an experiment and quickly found ourselves using the PDR guy to the point he was on the roster for many jobs. The turn around, sanding, prepping time was reduced significantly. He'd get it straight and we would do the chips and blends. 😅 Do a full detail, Vac and had many happy customers.
Hey Marco, I'm trying to bury some nibs in my clearcoat, I've laid 17 coats of clear do you think I should do one more for luck🤔🤠🤓🤦♂🤣just kidding bro lovely job on the black paint repair as black can come right back and bite you in the butt but you sorted it and it looks real nice, I love that you say it how it is with no bs which is a huge help for us DIY/Hobby folks👏🙏👍John UK
That's it mate go old school! we don't need this state of the art booth we just lay 30 coats of clear so there is enough build for colour sanding, downside is the paint weighs more and is thicker than the panel🤔🤠😎🤣
Any reccomendations on paint guns to use, where to get them. Not looking to spend thousands just learn to paint a project car myself, doesnt have to be perfect but im sure anything is better than rattle can 😅
Just curious. Have you tried the dolphin? Not sure of the spelling… Would you use that fiberglass over a roof pillar joint? The factory used lead. I don’t want to lead. If not what would you use? Thanks for the reply.
Why choose a fiberglass filler over say a Evercoat which a lot of people brag about? How do you compare the Speedo Coat? with Dolphin? I watch a lot videos about placing fillers over epoxy primer but you place over bare metal? Because of the fiberglass? Thanks
@@jimdrechsel3611 this product is one of the only products that manufacture says it's ok to go over holes and bare metal . That's why I use it . Great video. Good information here. What base would be the best for bright orange paint?
