Dude you did this one out of the park! Anyone that has ever painted a car will tell you that black is the absolute hardest color to paint and make it look right. You nailed this 100%. This paint job looks 10 times better than any factory paint job could ever dream of. I seen zero orange peel! Dude you are the king!
I disagree. There are silvers and grays and other metallics that are easy to tiger stripe or get 'clouds" in the finish if not sprayed correctly. Same goes for candy. With black, you need to make sure there are no sanding scratches, otherwise it's not as tough. Nevertheless, that paint job does look fantastic.
That thing is sick! You could fall into it and drown! Can’t believe how nice the clear flowed out, that my friend is why you are a true professional, what a amazing job!😎😎💪👊
WOW!! what a fantastic finish there Marco you certainly pulled out all the stops on this job considering you don't have a booth I don't think you would get a better finish if you had the latest state of the art booth👏👌 I have a love hate relationship with black paint jobs, I love them as they really show off the flat and glassy finishes you get from them😎I hate them as they really show off all the crap like nibs, hairs and runs in the finish😭😂 Very enjoyable video Marco so thanks for sharing👌🙏👍John UK
Love the reflection of the trees, Soo perfect :) Marko, my Hi-Gloss Jet Black kit came yesterday for the 2010 Vick! But still waiting on the Ford B4 Chestnut Brown for the 04' Vick... OH! Still waiting on the gun??
Yup the smr-42 covers well. Can’t believe you did 3 coats!!!. I usually have the courage to do 2 coats. Waited 20 minutes on the first. How many minutes on 2nd and 3rd? The color blender gauranteed no reactions and good transition. Truth with the nibs on high solids he’s right
3 coats can get tricky cause of the extended flash times. The most important thing is spraying the coats even and smooth with no doubling up on the clear
Hey Marco, the finish on this one does look great. Two questions: 1 - did you sand and buff it, or is this out of the gun? 2 - would you be willing to do another video of this car after it’s been outside in the elements for a couple of months? Thanks! I do enjoy your channel 👍
Excellent question! I much prefer the SMR- 42 over the other clears for any show quality projects. I use three coats on each step regardless of the product. 3 primer, 3 base, 3 clear. I’d say the cost is about the same, maybe a bit more but it’s negligible. And honestly if you’re worried about using an extra $30-$50 in clear on a full re-spray then you should step back and evaluate your budget. I’ve found clear to be the highest priority for durability and end result / customer satisfaction.
He pretty much explained this one great . Smr42 is our best bang for the buck clear at only 159.99 for a 1.5 gallon kit it's a good value, high solids and super high gloss finish. If your ordering off the site select me as your sales rep (Marco ) 😊😊 If doing really small projects and cheap PANLE work like hoods bumpers ECT ECT the smr 135 is a faster drying lower solids version of the smr42 very similar gloss just lower solids faster dry time .
That was a great job Marco and very impressed with the product. I am in California and would like to buy some products but not sure what to get. Need 59WA926L, Sealer, and Clear Coat for an H3T Hummer. 90-95 degrees here. Anyway, enjoy your videos.

Hey Marco, I need some help and advice please sir... My son has a 2007 Chevy Silverado extended cab which is red and faded now and he wants Nardo grey. My question is this, with using a good lvlp gun and 21 gallon compressor, what should I spray it in, 2 stage or the high gloss Nardo grey single stage? And will a gallon kit be enough for 3-4 coats if going with the single stage high gloss?

Bad Chad when he paints uses high pressure and a Chinese gun to get slick paint. Some guns just spray better at a higher pressure if glassy is the goal. Looks like a bump in pressure sure worked on the high solids clear
Some older style guns spray better at higher pressure like 50 psi. Some of the newer style guns just blow more over spray in the air and spray too dry over something like 35 psi.
