    The vice versa can also be true in that some older movies & TV shows can only be viewed with streaming because said titles are either OOP or never gotten an upgrade beyond VHS.

      Kink has been steadily delivering some great titles through the years. One of the best labels. Awesome list of titles.

    Disney's censoring of The French Connection and Splash should have been a wake-up call for a lot of people, but most are convenience minded when it comes to media consumption. Having a hard copy on the shelf is a great insurance policy against artistic revisionism or lapsed rights deals, etc. I also keep a media server with everything backed up and playable by a Zidoo in order to preserve the discs themselves or avoid disc rot (HD-DVD). It's great to see physical media proponents getting together to actually discuss the formats and also inform the masses. Fabulous work, Zcene!

      Thank you so much! Exactly you would think people would wake up to the censorship, but ease and comfort. Physical media will always be superior and I will continue to support.

      I’m of the impression the average movie viewer doesn’t even notice that kind of censorship. I’d bet most Normies have one eye on the tv and the other on their phone half the time.

      Two of the best boutique labels.

    Physical media is something great if you are a film fan at heart and labels like this make the whole thing even more special 💿 📼 📽 📺 🎬
    "Death Machine" is a mega 90s sci-fi action dystopia that will never be seen again, the machine itself looks so badass, not to mention (Brad Dourif's) performance as the main villain is really cool and just fun 👊 btw that was also Wesley Snipes' favorite movie back then.
    Godspeed 🤘

      Physical media is the superior format. Death Machine is an absolute blast, so glad I got it. Keep on supporting and godspeed 🤘

    I have the Kino Remastered Blu rays editions of Night Gallery and Kolchak the Night Stalker which are a vast improvement over the earlier studio versions that the studios released previously. Regards Trevor

    Long Live Kino F*ing Lorber!!
    Damn. Look at that shelving display behind Mr. Tarzi there. Definitely a thing of beauty!
    The Experts. I forgot all about that movie. Haven’t seen it since it was relatively new. Thanks for the flashback and that’s going on the wishlist for the next sale.
    Just picked up Fletch and Fletch Lives in the last sale. I also have Face/Off and Invasion of the Body Snatchers from their previous sale but those slips disappeared *fast* and I didn’t get them.
    You have only one Kino title without a slipcover? That’s impressive. I *cannot* decide if I prefer displaying their titles in or out of slip covers (first world problems). Do you have a large or small selection from them?

    • @FanZceneVids
      @FanZceneVids  3 місяці тому +1

      Kino is one of my favorite labels so many great titles. I wish The Experts was the only Kino title I have without a slip, just in that stack it was the only one without a slip. Probably have a medium collection of Kino, slowly building it up more and more.

      @@FanZceneVids Kino good my list of labels, bar none. From their products, pricing, inserts/slips, customer service. I’m just overall far happier shopping with them than any other.
      Their sales are simultaneously glorious and painful. Either they hurt the wallet or you suffer the prioritizing process. Agony. This last sale I made my second ever media haul video from and I think it was 22 titles. I ended up placing one last order the last day so I’m waiting on those now, too.
      I only started shopping with them less than two years ago. I’m proud of what I have for the time I’ve invested. I just cannot decide if I prefer displaying them with or without slips on my shelf though!

    First off, a little correction. In The Perfect Weapon, it was Mako as Jeff Speakman's mentor, that was murdered. Not James Hong, being as he was the villain who ordered Mako's death, in the film. Second, I agree with this overall video statement. Being how not only this applies to the films restored by Kino Lorber, but a vast majority of known rare films that are hard to find on Streaming. It's especially worth noting how just buying them alone not only gives you a sense of permanent ownership, but also helps supports the best of movies, old or new. As well as the artists behind them. Which could even be said about this one new original film I found, that's worth watching, called The Primevals by Full Moon Features. Which is a film that was in development for 50 years. And has only been finished and released, as of recent. And I plan on buying that film to support it. Being how quite rare it is seeing a recent film, of the 21st Century, made using Stop Motion for its effects, rather than CGI.

      @FanZceneVids  3 місяці тому +1

      I caught that mistake I made during editing, you correct it's Mako who was his mentor. Plan on getting Primevals myself, Full Moon is awesome, and that movie is a testament to preserving film and physical media.

    I don't understand how stuff like Twister and Face off get a 4k yet I can't even get a copy of The Applegates :( I should never have gotten rid of the VHS but I was like "oh it has to at least be on dvd" ..........I am so dumb for not checking first when I got rid of my vhs !

    • @FanZceneVids
      @FanZceneVids  3 місяці тому +1

      Honestly I still can't believe The Applegates has never gotten a blu-ray. You would think one of these boutique labels would have put it out by now. It's insane, wish I would have kept the VHS back in the day too.
