Absolutely perfect. Not a rich bastard in sight, mouthing off about his car....just a bunch of real, hard working, enthusiasts sharing their passion. Well done Petrolicious on this masterpiece.
Wow. This is the best Petrolicious video I've yet seen. 1) Motorcycles 2) The music is so perfectly matched to the content 3) The photography is exceptional
He doesn't keep track of the cost of or for his passion "but know's it's cheaper then therapy" An excellent perspective when referencing one's hobby that they love.. Beautiful motorcycles! Great episode!
Truly the quintessential Petrolicious video. A great story about a boy (or girl!) and a bike. These are the stories I love to hear and the histories I can relate to, regardless of language, geography, etc. One of my first bikes as a young man (20+ yrs ago) was a '65 BMW r69. It had been imported by a serviceman in the 1980's after being with its original German owner since new. The first owner and the American G.I. had ridden the bike all over Europe and the UK. I sometimes used to sit in my garage and just think about all the places my bike had been, all the places it had seen, adventures it had taken over the years. That particular bike taught me at a fairly young age that cars and motorcycles all have their own history just like people. Among a few other cars in my garage is a 1963 356C, which used to belong to my grandfather. I feel the same way about that beautiful little Porsche today as I did about my r69 so many years ago. I know its cliche but I often think "if this car could talk!" Again Dan's story is what Petrolicious does best. It's kind of story and relationship between car/caretaker that makes the vintage car and bike lifestyle so unique. A story that only a true car guy or car girl could understand. Fantastic work as usual Petrolicious! Cheers!
Once you get to know an old car like that, and really work on and drive it, you'll find they talk of past lives very well. In fact they'll take you back to a time when things were a lot different, different expectations, different pace of life. What really is fast, what really is a sports car or a motorcycle. new vehicles are amazing, reliable, fast, great handling, but at the same time sanitized. The Miata is an amazing deal for what it is, but drive the lotus it's based on (I have been so fortunate as a collector in a bike club I was in has one) and it's a different world. Old machines have a lot of different sounds, smells, feeling to them new cars have had sanitized out of them.
There is just something special about vintage bikes. Royal Enfield makes a modern vintage bike . There are several retro bikes on the market but the Enfield seems to be the most Authentic.
Interesting to see vintage or classic motorcycles and their history. I like motorcycles even if I don´t know how to ride them. I feel more atracted to old motorcycles than new ones. Great video!
Jorge Tamacas If you rode them, you would know old ones are fun but sadly impossible to use as a "modern" bike (less than 40 years old).. That's not true with old cars though.
Gosh..that orange Dnepr is identical to my farher's one! Except we had to swap the engine with a BMW R/80 due to lack of reliability and hard times finding spare parts here in Italy...beatiful pieces of machinery though!
Though classic cars are a labor of love, motorcycles are that and more for many people. Motorcycles above all are a personal thing, even when you ride with other people or even a passenger, you're still very much more in tune with the bike than them. No music, no conversation, and you can find roads both relaxing and challenging. That's a bit reason people love riding and something the marketing people don't understand. I've been riding since 1980, have been working on my own bikes, then became a mechanic on them. Got deeply involved in classic british and european for years, even worked on a couple imported chinese sidevalve bmw clones as well as a number of Urals of different generations. Sadly in the last few years I've been more in cars, at least working for a couple of shops that handle everything from restorations to keeping older cars on the road, but I really need to immerse myself back into motorcycles again, leaving the market has not been good for my soul. This man has the right idea, nothing can get under your skin better than an old motorcycle if you love old machinery.
Je ne comprends pas le russe et ne lis pas l'anglais, ce qui n'empêche pas l'immense plaisir d'admirer ces vieilles motos rutilantes. Spassiba bolchoï...
Inspirational. Though I missed out on that Commando project I saw advertised today, 😡 Makes me want to get down to garage and tinker with my current ride, or better still, reorganise my tools and workspace generally. Of course this bloke would be an orthopaedic specialist?
Nice to see a story on Russian motorcycles, and not a Japanese Rice Rocket. Just by looking at the roads you can see why he rides with a sidecar, although we have roads just as bad around in Atlantic Canada.
Just type in Ural motorcycles into the browser and they give you the list for across Canada. I'm in Saint John, NB, so the nearest dealer is in Dartmouth, NS.
Fucking beautiful video. Makes me glad about my first bike purchase. I’m getting a Honda xl600r and going to fix it up just like this guy. Can’t wait!!!
This is real passion unlike the Das Audi Auto window (tinted) licking uber kool with a "K" hip trendy volk down the Ace on none Bang and Olufsen retro Plums 70s night while planing next "artwork" for the bike shed show and life in the back of a van and name switch to "Dutch" when Daz for Darren be more on the "wonga" nice to see Dan the man keeps it classic and not a exhaust tape wrap and oversized odd vintage van tyres (with a y) none MOT mudguards (fender) posh biker boy kinda way . Lots of gold being saved keep up the good work.
Dan Untura I'm really mad I grew up in Moldova when Russian was taught in school. I wish I could watch this without the subtitles. Where in Moldova do you live?
Didn't understand a word (no subtitles), didn't make the video any less fantastic! Looking forward towards more classics.... How about some of those old beautiful wooden boats? Keep up the excellent work! 👍👌👏😍
Absolutely perfect. Not a rich bastard in sight, mouthing off about his car....just a bunch of real, hard working, enthusiasts sharing their passion. Well done Petrolicious on this masterpiece.
Unfortunately there are a lot of stupid people that thinks of money only...
No shit.. these bikes cost a lot of 💰. How you gonna get it? Muh socialism?
Wow. This is the best Petrolicious video I've yet seen. 1) Motorcycles 2) The music is so perfectly matched to the content 3) The photography is exceptional
I share many of this man's memories. I grew up in Moldova and remember riding in the sidecar to my grandfather's house. Amazing video Petrolicious.
Multumesc, Ivan ))
Wow what a special dude. Doctor and a genius with mechanical things. A man's man.
Sharing his rides with his friends so that they can enjoy them with him... What a hero! Awesome video once again @ petrolicious, you guys are amazing!
You know it's a good video when you can turn captions off and still understand the passion & story.
The doctor seems like a great guy, enjoyed every second of this!
I don't care about motorcycles at all, but this video is among the best Petrolicious has made! Great story, great directing and great editing!
Petrolicious could make a video of a bicycle look good!!!

The leaves falling behind him at 7:41 was just perfect. I don't think they said what brand of motorcycles they are and I don't even care.
Vegaspsycho Ural probably
The motorcycle passion has no borders or boundaries. Excellent story.
He doesn't keep track of the cost of or for his passion "but know's it's cheaper then therapy" An excellent perspective

I think you can buy Ural with a sidecar in Canada.
Just type in Ural motorcycles into the browser and they give you the list for across Canada. I'm in Saint John, NB, so the nearest dealer is in Dartmouth, NS.
Ural aka BMW R71 clone.

Is he speaking Moldavian or Romanian? Great video, love the old air cooled bikes 💪💪
Romanian. In Republic of Moldova )
Some people consider them the same language, some consider them to be separate languages.
Dan Untura I'm really mad I grew up in Moldova when Russian was taught in school. I wish I could watch this without the subtitles. Where in Moldova do you live?
Ivan Levko , În Chișinău
It's the same language...just with a regional accent.

It should be noted that it's spelled Moldova not Moldavia...
M.C. Escobar
Didn't understand a word (no subtitles), didn't make the video any less fantastic!
Looking forward towards more classics....
How about some of those old beautiful wooden boats?
Keep up the excellent work! 👍👌👏😍
Check again, there are English subtitles ;)
Liam Carroll....
Many thanks, appreciated! 👍🍻
Checked and double checked! I couldn’t get any sub titles on my iPad or laptop. Great vid though.
Great to see a Russian based film 👌
A russian vintage motorbike gang?!!
😍
Please do McLaren f1
PLEASE DO NOT....We really do not need another rich a...hole blabbering off about his car......
Is there an English version? My Russian is rusty.
Its not Russian. Its romanian.
There are icon, in right, down side, for connecting subtitles
English ???????????????????????????????
Maybe turn on subtitles ????????????????????????
Once again a waste of time due to an English title with non-English speaking. I do not understand why people do this.
Use English!
