Taylor Hawkins work was inspiring and is one of the reasons I drum the way I do. The Foo Fighters music has gotten me through some of the harder times in life and sitting down behind my kit to try and play Taylor Hawkins drum beats literally helped me become a better drummer. Rock music has lost one of its greatest drummers. RIP Taylor. Thanks for all the years of amazing music!

I'll never forget the impact this song had on me-not to mention the video. So powerful and filled with raw emotions. R.I.P. Taylor Hawkins-his drumming was such a big part of the Foo Fighters sound for so long, and "The Pretender" always stood out as one of those songs where the drums do most of the driving.
I sadly lost my friend to a foo years ago, I'm glad Dave is leading these guys fighting the good fight and protecting people from this blight on our civilisation, one that the government chose to do nothing about.

He's still an excellent musician and person, he's just another human who can make mistakes too. Unlike many of you, he admits that private mistake to the entire world and takes responsibility for it. Just shut up and listen to his art, none of you are perfect to judge anyone.
I still enjoy his music AND I am upset that he chose to destroy a 21-year marriage and cause enormous pain and suffering to his three daughters, whom he described so lovingly in his memoir (and not to mention countless interviews).
Absolutely agreed. Nobody's saying what he did was right, and my sympathies go out towards his wife, but it's ultimately a matter that should only really involve him and his family, and he readily admitted the mistake. That shows strength and willingness to confront the issue, as well as hopefully change that bad habit. A lot better than some other celebrities have confronted things in the past. I hope for the best for his family as well as for him to handle the situation, whatever happens going forward. Foo Fighters are still an amazing band and that will never change for me.
Dave Grohl has honestly had such an amazing career from being Nirvana's drummer to the lead guitarist and vocalist of the Foo Fighters to the drummer of Queens of the Stone Age and even being part of the legendary Tenacious D as their drummer as well. He's really had a hell of a run and still isn't done. Really gotta give him props, he did something right in the world.

Taylor Hawkins work was inspiring and is one of the reasons I drum the way I do. The Foo Fighters music has gotten me through some of the harder times in life and sitting down behind my kit to try and play Taylor Hawkins drum beats literally helped me become a better drummer. Rock music has lost one of its greatest drummers. RIP Taylor. Thanks for all the years of amazing music!

I still enjoy his music AND I am upset that he chose to destroy a 21-year marriage and cause enormous pain and suffering to his three daughters, whom he described so lovingly in his memoir (and not to mention countless interviews).
Absolutely agreed. Nobody's saying what he did was right, and my sympathies go out towards his wife, but it's ultimately a matter that should only really involve him and his family, and he readily admitted the mistake. That shows strength and willingness to confront the issue, as well as hopefully change that bad habit. A lot better than some other celebrities have confronted things in the past. I hope for the best for his family as well as for him to handle the situation, whatever happens going forward. Foo Fighters are still an amazing band and that will never change for me.
