As a kid, I wasn’t a fan of Serj’s voice. But man did it grow on me and now that I’m older and understanding a lot of the messages of their songs his voice really fits it
I discovered this band in 2002 on MTV like many people (back when it was playing music). To this day, toxicity is the song that brings me back to my teenage room. Crazy how music can connect you exactly to a certain event or period of your past. I love this band forever
@Ahmed Zuq mo2minina raghma safala, no one answered this comment, but i will, and as a muslim i like some kind of music and this is one of them, i wouldn’t appreciate this if i was a non-muslim, but still i’m saying, the best way to inform people is by giving them the lesson in a proper context, and this is not one of them, so let people enjoy the music (old good music) and akhi jazako laho khayran 🙏🏻😇
Dude, I am legitimately jealous of you. My whole life I've been called an old soul with my clothes, hobbies, personality, and music. I have always wished I could have discovered this music off of MTV, but I discovered my music by going on long car rides with my dad when things got hard. I'd argue that's just as magical, but I'll never know. You grew up in such a cool time!
Everything kicks so hard in this song - and then transitions back n forth beautifully. Wow. Hard to find the words to describe how technically beautiful this song is
I was never into this type of heavy music, but I have just discovered System of a Down and I am just like WOW, this is just amazing and a pure art… adding them as my new favorite band.
This is the song that got me into music, its the reason I started playing music, its the reason I joined band in school. System will always hold a place in my heart. My taste has changed wildly, but I still come back to this every once in a while, and its still nuts.
@@sammysosa437 I agree, I always thought the sacred silence was your personal quiet time after waking up and obviously sleep. Somewhere between is where disorder is, during the day.
I remember when I first got this album and I absolutely loved it. And when my upstairs neighbor would blast her crap music in the middle of the night, I'd turn this album on at full volume. Sometimes I'd just replay the tapeworm lyric over and over again just to make them extra uncomfortable. They eventually stopped blasting music in the middle of the night.
Back in 2002 when I first watch this video on MTV, I suddenly want a Zildjian shirt. I asked my mom if I can have one. A month later my mom brought me to a music store and she pointed a white Zildjian shirt displayed on the wall. She bought me that. My mom died 2 years later in 2004. Watching this video brings that beloved memory. Thanks for everything mom. It's been 15 years. I miss you.
