I want to fully Redact my statement on Hammerlock. It was brought to my attention that he was in fact stated in BL2 side quests as gay, this was something I overlooked in my research and overall knowledge of the series when I was putting this video together.
But the writing is really really bad. It's like they lobotomized every existing character (if not reducing their time to nothing.) This is not to mention the downgrade in graphics and imitation Jack children villains. We get a whimper fear confession from the brother and NOTHING from the sisters last breath.
I hate Hammerlock not because he's gay, ust because I hate his DLC his missions in BL2 and he gets another DLC in BL3 which makes it much more easier to hate him.
For a game meant to have replay value, the terrible writing and story is the most eggregious aspect of it, as it makes it impossible to play more than once without cringing all over.
I recently bought BL3 on sale. Got to Eden-6 and done a few Jakobs missions. I feel like dropping it because the game is forgettable, I don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere in the story and it feels like a great big fetch quest. Only thing I’m concerned with when playing BL3 is levelling up and when I’m gonna get a new gun, which I feel like replacing your guns happens more frequently in BL3 than the others and a lot of the time, none of the quests feel rewarding because my gear is 3X better than whatever they give me.
@@deathjoker666 Same, I finally caved and bought/finished Borderlands 3 and can safely say that BL1 is by far the best and has the most interesting character builds and DLC.
The game was on sale a few days ago and I bought it for my friends and I, and I really don't feel that the 17 dollars I spent was well spent. I feel bad for any sorry soul that spent the full price, or better yet pre ordered the deluxe edition.
@@lostindeadspace6098 it is a bit OTT though at eden 6, worst part of the story for me listening to them 2 going on and on, sitting on their arses while we do their dirty work, i find him and wainright irritating and just seeing them standing around together annoys me, let alone their joint dialogues, i feel a sense of relief when i can finally leave jakobs house knowing i never have to return. but then they go and make a whole DLC about them lol
I don't disagree with you, but can't boyfriend be used to mean a male friend? When I heard Hammerlock say "an old boyfriend of mine", I thought it was more likely to be that given his typical use of more archaic English. At the same time, I don't think there was much indication, if any, that they were romantically involved, except for the use of boyfriend as a descriptor.
Troy would've been decent/good if he killed Tyreen to open the vault or did some form of betrayal to take over Tyreens spotlight and making him the final bad guy.

The story was cringe.. and the game launched with a lack of content. I wasn't about to buy a season pass for DLC. I wasn't really a fan of the vault hunters. 🤷🏼♂️ I imagine 90% of gamers are male.. and if you remove mobile gaming, it's probably even higher. With a game that involves you continuously playing through the story over and over again.. In my opinion they failed big time. Whoever wrote much of this main storyline and character dialogue that intertwines with side missions.. It's really bad. I don't know who's responsible for reading over the plot and script for BL3.. They also failed. I refused to buy any DLC because of this.. And I highly doubt I will buy another Borderlands title. I'm over developers who want to virtue signal in video games. They end up writing bad characters and completely overcompensate with overrepresentation of bad and subpar characters/NPCs. So much cringe.. Just a bunch of disingenuous weirdos that ruin games for all of us.
As much as I want to continue playing BL3 as the gameplay is arguably at its best, the end game and lack of enjoyable replay ability just make it bland, let alone the painful story throughout. If anything, BL3 has made be go back to the other games and appreciate them more and made me realise how much more enjoyable they are.
After we defeated Troy everything just felt off. I never understood why, but I think this video just shines the spotlight on what it was. The god damn mystery is gone
Borderlands 3 sucks. It was the biggest let down in Gearbox history and now jeopardizes the entire series future. Anybody that argues with that either had unrealistically low expectations of the game or just started with the 3rd game of the franchise.
Yeah Borderlands has never really been about story but the story in Borderlands 3 is pretty damn bad though... it makes the game almost unplayable for me. Hard to enjoy the game when you’re listening to the writing equivalent of diarrhea.
Borderlands 3 "story" made the game worthless because it was such a grind for fans while lore breaking. That wasn't Lilith. If they were gonna break the story anyway, our boy Brick should have gotten siren powers while the self-insert child Ava should have not existed.

I always hear folks say they stopped playing at Eden 6. The only reason I stopped there is because I rage quit after Maya died. Took months before I even opened the game again after that.

Hammerlock was gay in borderlands 2 they mention it a handful of times and he even talks like it. I just think borderlands three took that and made it become his whole personality overdoing it way too much. Why were Mordy, Brick and Tiny Tina basically forgotten in this game? They are literally THE fan favorites. Claptrap's new voice actor has terrible delivery compared to the OG and the writing for the character was COMPLETE jackshit. Maya was an extremely promising character and they decide to kill her 1 hour after her introduction, only to replace her with possibly the most annoying character in any Borderlands game ever. Apart from that even the gameplay was lacking for me. Mayhem modifiers are annoying. Annoinments suck. Legendaries are so common that I am more excited for whites at this point. What happened to grenades? Grenade builds were some of the most fun in BL2 but here almost all grenades suck and just arent fun anymore. I could go on and on but in 3 words -- thi game SUCKS.

Borderlands 2 is the game I started with and Maya was my fav character... once they killed her and basically shrugged their arms like... well you need to move on I was devasted. I was like... are we not going to mourn for my girl here? I mean come on there was a DLC dedicated to Roland and his passing in BL2 and we aren't going to take a moment to mourn Maya... I quit the game and haven't finished it yet.
The largest issue with the games story is it came out of nowhere borderlands 2 ended with like some weird alien things warning you and then we get some freaking zoomer gen z villains???? It made no sense and ruined the interesting ending of 2 and the vaults etc
Despite not having a relationship witj gearbox oranything else, I like BL3 since it does everything the prequels did, just better. I don't think you guys really upped the game's potential. Something's really off here.
I might be one of the 5 people who actually like the story, but I found it interesting after listening to all echos and siren writings. but I agree there are a lot of issues and their last hope is to fix them with the release of Director's cut. also Atlas weapons are still almost useless so they need to buff instead of nerfing and adding new skill tree nobody asked for (imo it was forced addoon to the pass).

One thing that annoys me about this game is that certain enemies can hit you no matter where you are, so sometimes the gameplay doesn't feel fair, it gets tiresome. Did bother paying attention to the shit story.

Idk I don’t really think the mystery bs was a big con for me tbfh. Most of the fanbase and new players at the time started on borderlands 2 anyways. I mean it was all about fast pacing and keeping us to speed while keeping a few things from us and also such a recognized and prized well made antagonist Jack. I suppose they could have repackaged it better but didn’t we enter a vault already in prequel? It was just boss then loot then your out. It’s the same thing just done differently here. Hammerlock being gay is such an irrelevant point to make that really shouldn’t matter as much as the 3 minutes you spent covering on it let’s be honest. Kinda weird. I 100% agree with you. One of the reasons I love these remakes/remasters all these companies are making is basicly because the games they are remaking are better than anything they are willing to invest timeand effort into making.

Using a beloved character to recreate the same game I am hoping I am wrong. I don't want to be right about my cynicism, but I'd be foolish to pre order it. Like bl3 which I bought for 10$ (no dlcs and don't plan to until they decide to at least combine them and make it at most 30$ for all of it. I'm not paying 45$ for two season passes.) Hammerlock has been gay for a while, there’s that line that Gaige says in borderlands two when your idle I believe, it’s something along the lines of “ if hammerlock ever changes sides I am going to lock that down” also in borderlands two with the mission with Henry the stalker, hammerlock references a man saying something along the lines of “ Tagort, an old boyfriend of mine”. So I agree with all your other points, but the point about hammerlock never being hinted of being gay is just flat out wrong.
Yes BL3 has the worst story but it's mostly because Handsome jack isn't in it, also who plays Borderlands for the story? if we want to play for the story then just play TPS but who even plays the TPS?
This game shoves soo much loot in your face lol especially with lootsplosion modifier on mayham. Gear is not exciting to get like it was in the other bl games.
I have no idea why I'm about to defend this game but here I go. 1. The Story: Yes, the base game story is downright terrible and Ava, in particular, makes me wanna bang my head off the wall over and over again, BUT Borderlands isnt really a series that's strongpoint is the story. 2. The Gunplay/Guns: This game has the best gunplay in the series imo. The guns look better, sound better, and feel better in this game. Every gun feels unique which is something you can not say about borderlands 1 3. Quality of life changes: Mantling, Sliding, lost loot machine, cutscene skip. MIght be more but those changes add so much to this game, Sliding to go faster, mantling cuz its fun, lost loot machine for obvi reasons. This game is definitely worse than bl2 but I think there is an argument that can be made for this game over borderlands 1. And it is 1000% better then tps Overall: Was this game a disappointment? Yeah. Is it a bad game? Not really. Its FAR from perfect but I think this game gets a bit too much hate
I agree with a lot of points you made, and I never said the game was a failure because it’s not. This video was more about why returning fans say the game is bad compared to the originals. And I also stated that the gameplay is the best that it ever was, and I hope improvements like this continue in future games.
Borderlands has always had a strong point in story. That's why the only redeeming qualities of borderlands the pre sequel was the story. The first games story wasn't that good. But the three games we got after that had the best stories. Sorry but What are you talking about?
For a game that doesn't have a story as a strongpoint wouldn't be bad If it wasn't such an big chunk of your playtime. The amount of standing still and waiting for people to finish their exposition or mediocre humor really hampers the experience for me. If you're not good at creating something then minimalize that part of the game.
@@menzoznem Yeah thats the main flaw with this game imo. The story is really bad and the dialog takes FOREVER. But since I've already played this game for hundreds of hours and already know what's going to happen, I usually put on a youtube vid or play a game on my phone while they talk, This is also kind of a problem in borderlands 2 as well (even tho the story in that game is pretty good). The long dialog and unfunny story can be a turn off for some people and I get that. It just doesnt bother me personally

@@Lavender_Fox graphics is clearly a step up from borderlands 2, just watch a video comparison of bl2 and bl3. The only thing that stayed the same is the animation style
The story is so bad it basically killed the prospect for a bl4 sequel so gearbox decided to make a whole game around a annoying side character that doesn't really fit the borderlands style
I stopped playing after soloing the guardian breach on mayhem 4 TVHM, which was the highest mayhem level at the time, I have no dlc. I think the guns and animations are great, I don't complain about endgame, but I still stopped because I am waiting for the level Cap to finalize because I don't want to regrind over and over, and I don't like the mayhem levels.

I fucking love Bl3, it has everything that made the other borderlands games good, even better shooting and movement, guns look gorgeous and super detailed, the dlc’s are also really good to me not even one missed. But the main story is hot garbage, there’s a reason why I skip every single cutscene and don’t listen to the calypso twins talk and whenever Ava talks I just turn my volume off or save quit to not have to listen to her. Also I hate having to talk to lillith every time I do something
The point of Bl3 pushing political agendas is something I have been saying since I first played it. It’s not that I don’t like it, I would’ve absolutely loved all the “main” important characters to be women have they been written well, after all the story has a much greater focus on sirens, the problem isn’t that they’re doing that, it’s that it’s shoved down your throat and that you’re forced to accept it. Just like in captain marvel, there’s a reason the movie is hated, it isn’t misogyny or sexism, the writing is plainly awful, maya’s death has to be one of the worst I’ve seen in video game history, the calypsos are INSUFFERABLE, incredibly boring. The game shows so much potential, like Troy becoming a being of his own rather than someone holding onto tyreen, and they could’ve done something amazing like Troy becomes more powerful and in that battle with him just before he dies he escapes while taking Tyreens power and then we have an arc about him either redemption or something else, but instead we got a really pointless death which frankly didn’t change much, the game could’ve been SO much more

The Bright Flashes of Lights from the gun fx is annoying and over powering ... can't even see what you're shooting at. They really abused the heck out of the Niagara fx System in Unreal 4 (game) engine and missed the concept of alittle goes along way.
I’m not sure if anyone touched upon this, but why do all the female characters in this game look like clownish bobbleheads now? If you compare on how hot all the females visually looked in BL2 (even Ellie!), BL3 took a massive downgrade on their appearance. UGH…I can only assumed this was done for ESG score political reasons, in trying to “avoid the male gaze” with how attractive women are portrayed nowadays. Hell, every single female character are mostly covered up in their outfits too to avoid showing too much skin.
I agree that the story telling was frustrating in some parts, and I am glad you took back your statement on Hammerlock, but your statement on "liberalization" is misogynistic. We can all agree Ava is a horrible character, but we still got two new amazing female Vault Hunters and amazing female characters from the previous games that are just badass. You complain about Eden6 (which btw I did like and surely enjoyed more than Pandora or Athenas; and Balex is probably the only funny character in the game so he alone makes Eden6 much better) but tbh the most boring planet in the game is... Pandora. Yes. I said it. I know it was supposed to be mostly a desert but after BL1 dlcs, and BL2 and its DLCs we saws so much more than a desert that it's just said how they decided to treat Pandora in BL3. Also the fact that there are no locations from previous BL games... So much wasted potential.
I feel like the story of Borderlands 3 and the new Star Wars trilogy aren't woke, or at least aren't bad BECAUSE they're woke. I think it's just bad writers being bad at writing, but deciding to add a little bit of woke. The story of Borderlands 3 is all about sirens so it makes sense to me that most characters be women. Though I agree that Brick and Mordecai should've been bigger parts of the story.
What i hate in this game is the loot. All 2 steps you see 20 legendarys. You kill a boss, again 20 legendarys. And there are way too much legendarys in the game. And the most of them are realy bad weapons. And why you should use blue or the pink loot? You start a game for the first time and a half hour later you have only legendarys in the slots. The grenades are all bad from the legendarys. They dont fix old bugs and problems. Before mayhem 2.0 i liked the game. But mayhem 2.0 destroyed it for me. I tell you why. There are now 11 meyhem steps. But when you are the first time in the endgame. You only need to do 1 thing. Go to the sanctuary and take mayhem 10, and then buy mayhem 10 weapons from the shops or get it from the eridium weapon. Now you have mayhem 10 weapons and you dont need play mayhem 1 to 9. Mayhem 1.0 was way better than 2.0. Borderlands 2 is still the best borderlands game, i love it! And sry for my realy bad english, i hope you understand what i mean.
They just made this game too easy. I just wanted to kill a boss or Npc for like 30 times to get a drop that felt special to me. I mean loot drops everywere. There is no point in playing TVHM because we have mayhem . And playing on PS4 with those loading times just takes all fun out of farming. The end game is fun. For completing once or twice. Collect all the gear and the game stops being fun. Arms race is fun. For a coulple of hours. Takedowns are fun. For a couple of hours. I just want them to make the loot harder to get. Love borderlands 3, only huge mistake they’ve made is not including new VH with the dlc. The 4 VH just get boring after a while, dont know why they made that decision.

The pre sequel was terrible when it came to story, level design and overall appeal but for some reason I can’t help but like it more than BL3. It at least felt like a borderlands game to a degree.
BL3 is easily the worst damn game in the series. Was going to say worst game but I forgot, Duke Nukem 3D remake by Gearbox. Tiny Tina Wonderland looks good but have doubts because of how poorly they did BL3. Going to wait until a week or two to see if Gearbox focus on the things that drew fans to BL1 and 2 and used it in the upcoming game.and keep BL3 esque shit out of it.

I want to fully Redact my statement on Hammerlock. It was brought to my attention that he was in fact stated in BL2 side quests as gay, this was something I overlooked in my research and overall knowledge of the series when I was putting this video together.
But the writing is really really bad.
It's like they lobotomized every existing character (if not reducing their time to nothing.)
This is not to mention the downgrade in graphics and imitation Jack children villains. We get a whimper fear confession from the brother and NOTHING from the sisters last breath.

For a game meant to have replay value, the terrible writing and story is the most eggregious aspect of it, as it makes it impossible to play more than once without cringing all over.
I recently bought BL3 on sale.
Got to Eden-6 and done a few Jakobs missions.
I feel like dropping it because the game is forgettable, I don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere in the story and it feels like a great big fetch quest.
Only thing I’m concerned with when playing BL3 is levelling up and when I’m gonna get a new gun, which I feel like replacing your guns happens more frequently in BL3 than the others and a lot of the time, none of the quests feel rewarding because my gear is 3X better than whatever they give me.
This story is so bad, that make borderlands 1 story a masterpiece

When I heard Hammerlock say "an old boyfriend of mine", I thought it was more likely to be that given his typical use of more archaic English. At the same time, I don't think there was much indication, if any, that they were romantically involved, except for the use of boyfriend as a descriptor.
I think people basically said the story doesn't really matter in Borderlands games up until BL3 released and then realised, oh yeah, it does.

As much as I want to continue playing BL3 as the gameplay is arguably at its best, the end game and lack of enjoyable replay ability just make it bland, let alone the painful story throughout. If anything, BL3 has made be go back to the other games and appreciate them more and made me realise how much more enjoyable they are.

Borderlands 3 sucks. It was the biggest let down in Gearbox history and now jeopardizes the entire series future. Anybody that argues with that either had unrealistically low expectations of the game or just started with the 3rd game of the franchise.

I am getting back into games when I was a teen and in college and am astonished at the quality and effort. And today we have loot boxes from battlefront 2 and almost got a class action lawsuit in Australia and the EU for promoting gambling to kids.
And people act like this isn't a big deal. You guys (maybe not you) are the ones feeding these cash cows as you get milked for derivative trash every 2 years (like far cry 5 and 6. Aliens fireteam. Re3 remake. Re2 remake was good.)

Why were Mordy, Brick and Tiny Tina basically forgotten in this game? They are literally THE fan favorites. Claptrap's new voice actor has terrible delivery compared to the OG and the writing for the character was COMPLETE jackshit. Maya was an extremely promising character and they decide to kill her 1 hour after her introduction, only to replace her with possibly the most annoying character in any Borderlands game ever. Apart from that even the gameplay was lacking for me. Mayhem modifiers are annoying. Annoinments suck.
Legendaries are so common that I am more excited for whites at this point. What happened to grenades? Grenade builds were some of the most fun in BL2 but here almost all grenades suck and just arent fun anymore. I could go on and on but in 3 words -- thi game SUCKS.

Borderlands 2 is the game I started with and Maya was my fav character... once they killed her and basically shrugged their arms like... well you need to move on I was devasted. I was like... are we not going to mourn for my girl here? I mean come on there was a DLC dedicated to Roland and his passing in BL2 and we aren't going to take a moment to mourn Maya... I might be one of the 5 people who actually like the story, but I found it interesting after listening to all echos and siren writings. but I agree there are a lot of issues and their last hope is to fix them with the release of Director's cut. also Atlas weapons are still almost useless so they need to buff instead of nerfing and adding new skill tree nobody asked for (imo it was forced addoon to the pass).

Legendaries drop in borderlands 3 sucks. Like for real, from one boss, 5 legends drop. WTF? And most of them suck that much that you won't even pay attention they dropped.
One thing that annoys me about this game is that certain enemies can hit you no matter where you are, so sometimes the gameplay doesn't feel fair, it gets tiresome. Did bother paying attention to the shit story.

Idk I don’t really think the mystery bs was a big con for me tbfh. Most of the fanbase and new players at the time started on borderlands 2 anyways. I mean it was all about fast pacing and keeping us to speed while keeping a few things from us and also such a recognized and prized well made antagonist Jack. I 100% agree with you. One of the reasons I love these remakes/remasters all these companies are making is basicly because the games they are remaking are better than anything they are willing to invest timeand effort into making.

So now with tiny teenas game coming out. My prediction is borderlands 3.5. Gear box saw how much they raked in and played their hand malevolently. Using a beloved character to recreate the same game

Hammerlock has been gay for a while, there’s that line that Gaige says in borderlands two when your idle I believe, it’s something along the lines of “ if hammerlock ever changes sides I am going to lock that down” also in borderlands two with the mission with Henry the stalker, hammerlock references a man saying something along the lines of “ Tagort, an old boyfriend of mine”. So I agree with all your other points, but the point about hammerlock never being hinted of being gay is just flat out wrong.

This game shoves soo much loot in your face lol especially with lootsplosion modifier on mayham. Gear is not exciting to get like it was in the other bl games.
I have no idea why I'm about to defend this game but here I go.
1. The Story: Yes, the base game story is downright terrible and Ava, in particular, makes me wanna bang my head off the wall over and over again, BUT Borderlands isnt really a series that's strongpoint is the story.
2. The Gunplay/Guns: This game has the best gunplay in the series imo. The guns look better, sound better, and feel better in this game. Every gun feels unique which is something you can not say about borderlands 1
3. Quality of life changes: Mantling, Sliding, lost loot machine, cutscene skip. MIght be more but those changes add so much to this game, Sliding to go faster, mantling cuz its fun, lost loot machine for obvi reasons.
This game is definitely worse than bl2 but I think there is an argument that can be made for this game over borderlands 1. And it is 1000% better then tps
Overall: Was this game a disappointment? Yeah. Is it a bad game? Not really. Its FAR from perfect but I think this game gets a bit too much hate
I agree with a lot of points you made, and I never said the game was a failure because it’s not. This video was more about why returning fans say the game is bad compared to the originals. And I also stated that the gameplay is the best that it ever was, and I hope improvements like this continue in future games.
Borderlands has always had a strong point in story. That's why the only redeeming qualities of borderlands the pre sequel was the story. The first games story wasn't that good. But the three games we got after that had the best stories. Sorry but What are you talking about?
For a game that doesn't have a story as a strongpoint wouldn't be bad If it wasn't such an big chunk of your playtime. The amount of standing still and waiting for people to finish their exposition or mediocre humor really hampers the experience for me. If you're not good at creating something then minimalize that part of the game.
@@menzoznem Yeah thats the main flaw with this game imo. The story is really bad and the dialog takes FOREVER. But since I've already played this game for hundreds of hours and already know what's going to happen, I usually put on a youtube vid or play a game on my phone while they talk, This is also kind of a problem in borderlands 2 as well (even tho the story in that game is pretty good). The long dialog and unfunny story can be a turn off for some people and I get that. It just doesnt bother me personally

I stopped playing after soloing the guardian breach on mayhem 4 TVHM, which was the highest mayhem level at the time, I have no dlc. I think the guns and animations are great, I don't complain about endgame, but I still stopped because I am waiting for the level Cap to finalize because I don't want to regrind over and over, and I don't like the mayhem levels.
I believe level cap has been finalized since the release of the kreig dlc but they very well could add nore

I fucking love Bl3, it has everything that made the other borderlands games good, even better shooting and movement, guns look gorgeous and super detailed, the dlc’s are also really good to me not even one missed. But the main story is hot garbage, there’s a reason why I skip every single cutscene and don’t listen to the calypso twins talk and whenever Ava talks I just turn my volume off or save quit to not have to listen to her. Also I hate having to talk to lillith every time I do something
The point of Bl3 pushing political agendas is something I have been saying since I first played it. It’s not that I don’t like it, I would’ve absolutely loved all the “main” important characters to be women have they been written well, after all the story has a much greater focus on sirens, the problem isn’t that they’re doing that, it’s that it’s shoved down your throat and that you’re forced to accept it. Just like in captain marvel, there’s a reason the movie is hated, it isn’t misogyny or sexism, the writing is plainly awful, maya’s death has to be one of the worst I’ve seen in video game history, the calypsos are INSUFFERABLE, incredibly boring. The game shows so much potential, like Troy becoming a being of his own rather than someone holding onto tyreen, and they could’ve done something amazing like Troy becomes more powerful and in that battle with him just before he dies he escapes while taking Tyreens power and then we have an arc about him either redemption or something else, but instead we got a really pointless death which frankly didn’t change much, the game could’ve been SO much more

The Bright Flashes of Lights from the gun fx is annoying and over powering ... can't even see what you're shooting at. They really abused the heck out of the Niagara fx System in Unreal 4 (game) engine and missed the concept of alittle goes along way.

I’m not sure if anyone touched upon this, but why do all the female characters in this game look like clownish bobbleheads now? If you compare on how hot all the females visually looked in BL2 (even Ellie!), BL3 took a massive downgrade on their appearance. UGH…I can only assumed this was done for ESG score political reasons, in trying to “avoid the male gaze” with how attractive women are portrayed nowadays. Hell, every single female character are mostly covered up in their outfits too to avoid showing too much skin.
I agree that the story telling was frustrating in some parts, and I am glad you took back your statement on Hammerlock, but your statement on "liberalization" is misogynistic. We can all agree Ava is a horrible character, but we still got two new amazing female Vault Hunters and amazing female characters from the previous games that are just badass. I do not see a problem with that at all.

I dont understand your issue with the property (or any property for that matter) being comprised of majority female cast. You know women make up half the population right? You complain about Eden6 (which btw I did like and surely enjoyed more than Pandora or Athenas; and Balex is probably the only funny character in the game so he alone makes Eden6 much better) but tbh the most boring planet in the game is... Pandora. Yes. I said it.
I know it was supposed to be mostly a desert but after BL1 dlcs, and BL2 and its DLCs we saws so much more than a desert that it's just said how they decided to treat Pandora in BL3. Also the fact that there are no locations from previous BL games... So much wasted potential.

I feel like the story of Borderlands 3 and the new Star Wars trilogy aren't woke, or at least aren't bad BECAUSE they're woke. I think it's just bad writers being bad at writing, but deciding to add a little bit of woke. The story of Borderlands 3 is all about sirens so it makes sense to me that most characters be women. Though I agree that Brick and Mordecai should've been bigger parts of the story.
What i hate in this game is the loot.
All 2 steps you see 20 legendarys.
You kill a boss, again 20 legendarys.
And there are way too much legendarys in the game.
And the most of them are realy bad weapons.
And why you should use blue or the pink loot?
You start a game for the first time and a half hour later you have only legendarys in the slots.
The grenades are all bad from the legendarys.
They dont fix old bugs and problems. Before mayhem 2.0 i liked the game.
But mayhem 2.0 destroyed it for me.
I tell you why.
There are now 11 meyhem steps.
But when you are the first time in the endgame.
You only need to do 1 thing.
Go to the sanctuary and take mayhem 10, and then buy mayhem 10 weapons from the shops or get it from the eridium weapon.
Now you have mayhem 10 weapons and you dont need play mayhem 1 to 9.
Mayhem 1.0 was way better than 2.0.
Borderlands 2 is still the best borderlands game, i love it!

They just made this game too easy. I just wanted to kill a boss or Npc for like 30 times to get a drop that felt special to me. I mean loot drops everywere. There is no point in playing TVHM because we have mayhem . And playing on PS4 with those loading times just takes all fun out of farming. The end game is fun. For completing once or twice. Collect all the gear and the game stops being fun. Arms race is fun. For a coulple of hours. Takedowns are fun. For a couple of hours. I just want them to make the loot harder to get. Make me sink my teeth in it so i can find my perfect build. Overall this game is too easy. I wish they made a borderlands 2 re make. with extra bosses and maps and gear to grind.

The pre sequel was terrible when it came to story, level design and overall appeal but for some reason I can’t help but like it more than BL3. It at least felt like a borderlands game to a degree.

Tiny Tina Wonderland looks good but have doubts because of how poorly they did BL3. Going to wait until a week or two to see if Gearbox focus on the things that drew fans to BL1 and 2 and used it in the upcoming game.and keep BL3 esque shit out of it.
