Just a tip for you all from my experience. The hardest part of this for me was alignment before each shot. I was hitting crazy slices because my FtP was way off. What I figured out was at the beginning of my round I stand behind the ball (just like you would in the real world) and press the side trigger to see the aiming line. I line that aiming line up with the lines of my hardwood floor (by peeking under the headset). I then use the lines on my floor before each shot to make sure I’m lined up correctly. Works like a charm and my shots go where I expect them to with my actual real world ball flight which is a power fade. I even use the same method on the greens and my putting got so much better. It really takes the guessing out of it. This game is amazing. I’m working on some new stuff with my swing and I see real results in the ball flight. Face angle and swing path/club path really matter. I will also say that if you’re playing this game without a club attachment, you’re not really “playing” golf. The controller is too small to place both hands on it, not to mention it’s way lighter than an actual club. It just feels awkward. The attachment brings the weight up much closer to what a real club would feel like. I would be worried that playing this game in order to improve my real golf game would screw my swing up because of the weight difference of using just the controller. Get an attachment. There’s tons of them.
Great video! I usually don't preset the shot shape and try to put spin on the ball with my swing. It's a bit more challenging and fun for me that way. But the cool thing is there are a ton of ways to play this game.
You can adjust the power levels for each club to make it more realistic/on par with the typical distance the ball goes. At the beginning of each round, you can set the difficulty, speed of green.....have you tried the "giant" view with your toggle. Scares me sometimes! LOL
I can play full rounds without resetting so it’s probably something you are just not used to. Also, my buddies and i don’t use the power setting. We just adjust our swing. Power setting is mibda cheating in our eyes unless using to adjust to ur own real distances (prior to rounds as it keeps it until changed) Not sure why u had to swing soft. I can grip it and rip it with my controller attachment (deadeye) without issue. Great video. The Golf+ guys are killing it. Having big names invest and landing the PGA will obviously continue to help grow the product. Lastly , try their most recent original design. It’s a fantastic course.

You should try out the new controller attachment they sell that makes the club feel more realistic. It makes a big difference from the standard one you're using.
Once your on your coarse ready to hit the first ball put a rubber band or velcro strap to keep the tumb trigger pressed down. You will see your ball flight trajectory and the green inclinations. Most newer model of golf club attachment for VR includes a rubber band or velcro strap now. Also you should go in setting and choose your golf club attachment it will affect the length of your Club so you won't have to be bent down so low, you'll have a more comfortable swing for shorter club. Enjoy!

Part of doing videos with no rehearsal or editing, but also you get a real life experience :) I did adjust the club length in the settings, it was odd why the wedge only did that once and was fine after and for other clubs. I have the new Deadeye with the weighted end. The problem is that the controller is facing the opposite direction on the shaft with the ring facing the player instead of the floor. This makes the virtual club backwards. I know there must be some fix but I can't figure it out.
I think making a golf swing can never hurt, that's for sure. Even if this helped you understand what path and face angles give for results that could be useful. But, it's not real golf. You won't get the feeling of a chunked shot, thin shot, or super accurate result, so just don't get too excited when you get out on the real course. Golf is hard! It takes practice, often, even for the best in the world!
Haven't tried this on Quest yet but I have an older golf game on PSVR. Same look and gameplay it seems. And similar frustrations. But when I used it, these were fun ways of playing when I couldn't be on the course.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos Yes, I actually never tried anything else than pro :-D With "pro" you should get no help from the game with the swing, so the swing can go drastically wrong. Also in the last update, just a couple of days ago there is also a "swing analyzer" mode on the driving range. Would be interesting what you think of that. I know nothing can substitute hitting a real ball with a real club but for somebody who doesn't have the space for that kind of simulator it's not so bad I think. I'm not a real golfer though but that makes me even more interested in a real golfers opinion. Btw! Golf+ is now the official virtual game for the PGA!! There will be some virtual event simultaneously with a real golf tournament of the PGA!

Golf + definitely my favorite vr golf game. But keep in mind if you play golf IRL these games will mess up your swing no matter what attachment you have. Try swinging a real club after playing this for a couple of days. It feels like your trying to swing a sledge hammer. Enjoy in moderation.
I just can’t see that game not frustrating me to heck with that gameplay Jay. Constant re-centre is no good at all. Also adjusting the power all the time?.? Surely you do that with the power of the swing. It’s a definite pass from me and see what PS come up with. Thanks for putting the effort in though as I may have wasted my money on this and been really frustrated.
You actually don’t have to recenter as much as I was. I was just worried about staying in line with the camera and screen for good viewing. Power is also just a preference. I played the first video never touching power. Just wanted you to know

@Golf Simulator Videos also if your worried about having to do a slower shot or not as far a back swing you can buy the Quest Pro controllers which can be used with the Quest 2 and they give perfect tracking.
Why do you say things like "holding trigger" and "driver", instead of saying "the trigger" and "the driver"? And you are reentering incorrectly, you can just points the club a few inches off the ground and press the "A" button.
This is the second time I have even used the software, so when doing these on the fly, and unedited, you are getting my first hand experience, not something perfected or rehearsed. So just doing my best, as always. Never said I was perfect :) Thanks for watching!
This game is terrible. Yes, game, it will hurt your golf game because you will use your wrists. I got an expensive club attachment, bought all the courses, then found out I could hit it over 300 one handed. I couldn’t hit a ball 150 yards 1 handed in real golf. Play as video game, be careful serious golfers.
@@robchristie4674 LOL, you can adjust this in the settings to mirror your actual distances for each club. I had the same issue. But once I made the adjustment in the settings it's great. Also try it in pro settings too. Give it a try brother. I have the HelloReal Proswing 2.0 Plus with the pro weight golf attachment. Dont give up on it.

If you want it more realistic then you need to take it off amateur and put it on pro.

this could be the goat as far as affordable sims is concerned, if it gets more courses and regular courses.
On the quest 3, it's a very good sim. Something like 14 courses available and now realistic colour and shadows. Very fun

Can you feel any haptic feedback when you hit the ball?
Yes and you can adjust the strength. However if you use a grip attachment you won’t really notice it
