After working there for almost 2 years and playing that course a dozen or so times you will learn that it is the hardest course of the 3 pebble courses, spanish is the 2nd hardest and pebble is actually fairly simple if you dont let the ocean distract you. Make sure to get a hot cocoa at the turn on pebble and if your staying at the resort make sure to check out the beach club tucked in between the 4th and 17th. take a dip or just hit the hot tub.
Awesome video! Brings me back to when I went last year. I shot an 88 from the tee up from the tips. While it was the toughest course, it was my best round out of Pebble, Spanish Bay, and Del Monte. Can't wait for the Pebble content!
I’m a big fan and love the content! I played the front holes of Spyglass with my dad during twilight hours! It was too dark to play in the trees so we teed up the 1 st hole again! The pro there thought we were playing without paying!! He was so pissed! I’ve never seen anyone so angry! Once we told him we already paid , he calmed down a little! Those ocean front holes are spectacular! That was 30 years ago!
You're truly a blessing Garrett!! I gotta say this though, we gotta get SO MUCH MORE of Kendrick on the course and on video! He's a delight, and it would be so cool to get to know that man better! Such a great video buddy!!! High quality content!!
Spyglass is definitely the best course in the Pebble Beach area. Played there last year. Tight fairways and super fast greens. Enjoyed seeing the old school style video.
I loved this video. And honestly, I think I loved it cause it brought me back to the past with Good Good. When it was just Garrett and Tig. 1 v 1. On a golf course with their phones/cameras. And I was just starting out playing golf. Watching some dudes play everywhere. Working at home during the pandemic. Simplicity at its finest :).
I caddied for my friend in the US Amateur at Spyglass, the fog was so thick unless you knew the course you were done, ugh. Tough course, but beautiful. God bless enjoy.
Hey Garrett! I met you and the rest of Good Good at the Dallas/Plano meet up last August, which is one of the best days of my life (I was the one with the black good good hat and gold sharpie). I mentioned that I played both Spyglass and Pebble in March 2022. Spyglass is by far one of the coolest and most difficult courses I have played too. Ended up shooting 79 at Spyglass and 78 at Pebble, both tipped out. Lucky and fortunate to make birdies on both courses. I am so happy that y'all were able to play both courses and can't wait to watch the amazing content from the beautiful Monterey Peninsula!
Played there in 2020 (along with Pebble and Spanish Bay). Thought the course was amazing, especially the beach to forest transition as well as the approach views on the back 9. Shot a 76 from the gold tees with a chip-in on 4.
Working here for the summer, spyglass is by far the hardest out here. Played a couple days ago and if you barely miss the fairway it’s tough to even make par! Just missed y’all when the major was filmed, came out a week later. Best of luck!
Hey man, I walked with you the first 6 holes of this! My best round out there is a 73 tipped out, best I’ve ever played! Stoked you got to go around it again with the rest of the guys, can’t wait to watch it!
Love it! About to post a video of my own from spending a week here with a group. Pacific Grove, Spyglass (x2), Pebble Beach. Spyglass was definitely tough. 84 and 87 for each round, respectively. tough course!
Hardest course I’ve played hands down is Apple Mountain in Northern California. It feels like it’s made from a video game. It calls for lots of lay-ups, narrow fairways, crazy undulations and if you hit the rough, you’re screwed. Such a hard course but fun and naturally beautiful surrounded by the forest
Surprised this is tagged the hardest course you’ve played. Def tough but I’ve played some others in Monterey I feel like are tougher. Carmel Valley Ranch is one that comes to mind for sure imo. Pete Dye design with wicked designs and greens. Also Bayonet is filthy and the greens are like glass lol. Spyglass is classic tho!
There are amazing courses in Texas, Florida, Hawaii and the rest of the U.S. But nothing compares to the central coast all the up to Bandon. It's heaven. (Maybe Augusta 😉❤️)
Thanks for posting - haven’t seen much of Spyglass during the AT&T Pro Am telecast. Looks amazing and yes, tough. Now if you could get on and vid Cypress Point - that would be impressive 😂
Totally agree. I played it in the Mizuno Pro-Am the day after the AT&T in 2008. The stands were still up. I shot 81 on Pebble and 91 on Spyglass. LOL. It was brutal.
This course proves, you are not in competion with another person, ever....you are in competion with the course. It is alive, always changing, evolving.
Spyglass is insanely tough, but the hardest course I have ever played is the Concession in Florida. That place is absurdly hard, it will be a US Open course at some point.
Just started watching your video. Number 4 use to surrounded by ice plant which is impossible to hit out of. Also 3 used to be just green surrounded by unraked sand again almost impossible to hit a shot unless you landed in a level area.
Have played Pebble, Spyglass and Poppy Hills all back in the day. Spyglass is definitely the hardest if the three although I will say that Poppy Hills had some off the chart tough greens (mounding) before they renovated the course in 2014. Pebble is obviously the most scenic and iconic.
I played at Spyglass Hills and Pebble Beach in July 2021, (bucket list items) haha shot 87 at Spyglass and 85 at Pebble both courses are amazing, loved every minute of that trip😊
Played this years ago and did not shoot well. Nonetheless, something to cross off the bucket list. If you ask me, I still prefer a seaside course in HI over this any day of the week.
Definitely the hardest course I've played. Was there the week before the AT&T. I was a 6 when I was there, played pretty close to lights-out (for me), and ended up at 84. SO slippery.
I love how one minute you're getting ready to do a new good good when the last one literally ended today and you finish the video with me and AJ just finished shooting in New Mexico...Where in the world is Garrett Clark?
I got the lucky opportunity to upgrade from Spanish bay and play pebble beach a couple weeks ago.. what an unforgivable but fun course! As a lowball amateur, the course kicked my asssss. Tons of fun tho
It truly is gorgeous. Played pacific grove which is on the opposite side of pebble and Spanish bay cause I don't have a G to chuck away... But once you're in that ocean environment, on the course, it's just such a good time. If y'all where there last week wish I got to meet y'all. GGs
I got to play there after college with my Dad and it was such a challenge. Got lucky and birdied number 3 with the bacon strip green, absolute highlight of the trip
Favorite course by mile over whistling straits and Hilton head. Only played it once so I tipped it out and shot 79. I’m a scratch golfer and felt like I played out of my mind. But the course always gets its due
I played pinehurst #2 3 months before the open was there so they were growing the rough out by far the hardest course I’ve ever played with the us open setup and turtle back greens
I played Spyglass in the 1980's with a wood driver and 3 wood. One putt bogey on the first, birdied the second and downhill from there. I think I shot 87 which was a pretty good round for me.
Me and my Dad played out there 2 years ago. Great course. I was so nervous I shot 9 over on the front but calmed down and shot -2 on the back. I think Garrett could do 65 challenge out there
I love how this feels like an old gm_golf video.
For sure
was just thinking the same thing. feels nostalgic.
Still remember when he used range balls on the course
Back to the gm vlog days
Garrett has definitely started bringing the old vibes back and I love it
Idk how to explain this but videos with less people in them make it way more personal and more enjoyable to watch imo. Great content.
Don't apologize for the "quality", we're just here for the content and you're killing it. Keep it up!
Can’t describe how impressive that chip in was on 2. That is a tough spot
How about the house… that house is sick

did you not play for free since you worked there?
Completely agree with everything here.
You probably couldn't tell, but Jonathan was EXTREMELY impressed by that chip-in. 🐦👍🐦
I spoke to Jonathan myself for an interview. he is very
I was
The best energy in the whole of youtube. Humble, happy, and hilarious. We love you G
gotta love the G-rat content and vlogging, don't mind the lesser quality, you are the best bro!
0:32 perfectly captures what is feels like to be out on these courses warming up. Pure bliss. Love the content!

Love the content, thanks for all you've done for the golf community
Played this course in 2019 along with Pebble. Spyglass had the fastest greens I have ever played. It felt like we were putting on concrete.
You're truly a blessing Garrett!! I gotta say this though, we gotta get SO MUCH MORE of Kendrick on the course and on video! He's a delight, and it would be so cool to get to know that man better! Such a great video buddy!!! High quality content!!
I was going to say the same thing just in different words🤜🤛
Spyglass is definitely the best course in the Pebble Beach area. Played there last year. Tight fairways and super fast greens. Enjoyed seeing the old school style video.

OG gm_golf right here!!! I’m here for it🔥🔥🔥
This course was amazing to see in a first hand account. Thanks for the journey Garrett
I caddied for my friend in the US Amateur at Spyglass, the fog was so thick unless you knew the course you were done, ugh. Tough course, but beautiful. God bless enjoy.
I love the experience of seeing the course being played, over the video quality. Beautiful course even with the conditions!

Dude!!! I played Spyglass last year and its easily my favorite course I've played...so awesome to see you play it!
It is UNREAL to see you play a course I played yesterday. Harder than Pebble for sure
Working here for the summer, spyglass is by far the hardest out here. Played a couple days ago and if you barely miss the fairway it’s tough to even make par! Just missed y’all when the major was filmed, came out a week later. Best of luck!
props to u garret, ur positive energy was insane, its a true inspiration to look on the bright side
Hey man, I walked with you the first 6 holes of this! My best round out there is a 73 tipped out, best I’ve ever played! Stoked you got to go around it again with the rest of the guys, can’t wait to watch it!
gotta love the vlog style type of content, ur insane man, can't wait for the gg major at pebble beach
Great content G. I played here once so it was nice to visit again by watching you get through some holes. Keep up the great work. I miss Cali courses.
This is the kind of the videos I enjoy. Just a young man enjoying himself.
Spyglass is in my top 5 US courses list. So lucky to play there. Fun, challenging golf course.
Love it! About to post a video of my own from spending a week here with a group. Pacific Grove, Spyglass (x2), Pebble Beach. Spyglass was definitely tough. 84 and 87 for each round, respectively. tough course!
This was awesome old school Garrett but on one of the world's best golf courses! Outstanding dude!
I served as a course Marshall at Spyglass during the Pebble Beach Pro Am for about 10 years. Never got the chance to play it though - so jealous!!
Content > quality all day. This is a classic and still delivers.
That’s one of my favorite courses I’ve played. Broke 80 for the first time there!
apple mountain is so fun. also beautiful course
New Mexico has some beautiful courses, can’t wait to watch you guys out here. If you get a chance, I highly recommend PaaKo Ridge in Sandia Park, NM!
Old school gm golf quality, love it 👊👊
This is a genuine, solid vid man. Would love more of this!
Let's go G! Love to see the vlog style rounds
Bayonet gave me nightmares brother
@@MarcusHalverstram same haha I played well at black horse same day then bayonet after and it crushed my soul 😂
giving me california trip vibes, missing grant
Played there in 1982 with my father. The one thing I remember was iceplant behind the greens near the water. Only cost $50 at the time. Great course!
Love the Seagull reference. Favorite book as a kid. Like you even more now. 👌🏼
Nice. What a course. These personal video are the best way to see the course. Thx Boys. 👏
The pointing and blanking at the deer was absolute class G
There are amazing courses in Texas, Florida, Hawaii and the rest of the U.S. But nothing compares to the central coast all the up to Bandon. It's heaven. (Maybe Augusta 😉❤️)
Pebble Beach is an excellent course, but I'd take Spyglass 9 times out of 10 if I'm in the area. It's the best of the Pebble courses.
You should try playing the Coeur d'alene Resort golf course.
Played there last year. Love that course!! Like a couple hours from there.
bro ever since the lesson with McCormick your swing has been looking pure
Thanks for posting - haven’t seen much of Spyglass during the AT&T Pro Am telecast. Looks amazing and yes, tough. Now if you could get on and vid Cypress Point - that would be impressive 😂
Can’t believe I get to live down the road from this incredible place. Awesome video
G.. that chip in was something special brother.... Top notch video
Totally agree. I played it in the Mizuno Pro-Am the day after the AT&T in 2008. The stands were still up. I shot 81 on Pebble and 91 on Spyglass. LOL. It was brutal.
“The fairway is only open on Tuesday”… I almost spit out my coffee bro. 😂😂😂
One of the most important lessons to learn is to play your misses. Not where you wish you could hit the ball.
This course proves, you are not in competion with another person, ever....you are in competion with the course. It is alive, always changing, evolving.
Played Spyglass a long time ago. Brought back memories. I do remember it was a challenging day!
Ocean course at Kiawah is the hardest course I've ever played. Love to play spyglass some day.
Spyglass is insanely tough, but the hardest course I have ever played is the Concession in Florida. That place is absurdly hard, it will be a US Open course at some point.
MAGICAL! Thanks for sharing BIG DAWGS!
Was literally gonna play spyglass in early April and I couldn’t go because of the flooding. Especially excited for this one
Nice work kid. Cali coastal courses all seem so tough. No such thing as a straight putt! Looking forward to the rest of the content. Cheers.
Just started watching your video. Number 4 use to surrounded by ice plant which is impossible to hit out of. Also 3 used to be just green surrounded by unraked sand again almost impossible to hit a shot unless you landed in a level area.
The goat has uploaded 🔥🔥
You boys should come and play golf in Indiana! The Pfau course in Bloomington and the Pete Dye course at French Lick are great
Spyglass is so sick man! Great video once again, thank you for bringing us along friend
Really cool to see these types of courses!
Best UA-camr/golfer/person change my mind.

You should play pacific grove! Just played there for the first Time a few weeks ago!
Moving to Monterey in a few weeks. This video is wonderful to see!
My fav course of all time! But the rough is a whole beast
Definitely the hardest course I've played. Was there the week before the AT&T. I was a 6 when I was there, played pretty close to lights-out (for me), and ended up at 84. SO slippery.

Great video Clarky...love the chip ins
I got the lucky opportunity to upgrade from Spanish bay and play pebble beach a couple weeks ago.. what an unforgivable but fun course! As a lowball amateur, the course kicked my asssss. Tons of fun tho
Thats my home course for high school. Wish our school could have collabed.
It truly is gorgeous. Played pacific grove which is on the opposite side of pebble and Spanish bay cause I don't have a G to chuck away... But once you're in that ocean environment, on the course, it's just such a good time. If y'all where there last week wish I got to meet y'all. GGs
I played there In January and shot 85. It’s not easy but not overly hard as some other courses I have played.
I got to play there after college with my Dad and it was such a challenge. Got lucky and birdied number 3 with the bacon strip green, absolute highlight of the trip
Enjoying the vibe of this video mate
just played there two weeks ago! The toughest golf course in the world!
Favorite course by mile over whistling straits and Hilton head. Only played it once so I tipped it out and shot 79. I’m a scratch golfer and felt like I played out of my mind. But the course always gets its due

How much were green fees
@@ESW206 I think $35 but not positive, I was a teenager and my dad payed.
Me and my Dad played out there 2 years ago. Great course. I was so nervous I shot 9 over on the front but calmed down and shot -2 on the back. I think Garrett could do 65 challenge out there
That course is a gem. I would love to play there
Super underrated course (not including the green fee 😂), great design, and awesome vibes
Love the good old days vibes about this vid
Spyglass is 4.5 hours of torture and beauty. However it is a very fair course! Glad you got to play it
Do these more! Vlog styles videos are a “lower quality” but more enjoyable to watch imo
Yooo the holeout on 2 was insane!! lmao
Nice your in ruidoso, inn of the mountain gods and cree are always some fun tracks, will you play rainmaker or go play the short course in cloudcroft
Back in the 70’s Spyglass was built and owned by the Northern California Golf Association. Green fee was $10 for the day. Play all you wanted.
You should golf at BC Vernon the Rise golf course it so beautiful there
