You have my heart and my attention(which says a lot considering the severity of my adhd) just love the way you break this down! Reminds me a lot of David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD)

This was super duper helpful, thank you so much! I appreciate the delete file or add-on all that you have.

Terrific! Clear, concise, and what a nice way of talking--organized and paced. Thank you from another ADHDer. This is helpful in providing the basic tools you use. I wonder, though, if you've tried Toodledo additional tools of Lists, Notes, Outlines, and Habits. Did they not measure up for what you need? Would like to know your comparison/experience. Best to you.

Hi, Robert -- thanks so much for the feedback! To answer your question -- I probably started using Toodledo before they added the other functionality. I've thought about testing it out -- particularly outlines and habits, but TBH I don't love the Toodledo app interface. It's among the clunkier apps that I use. I tolerate it because it has the complexity that I need for a task list, but I'd probably ditch it if I could find an app that did everything I needed. I'd love to hear about your experience if you currently use or have tested out these features. And thanks again for the comment -- for a UA-cam newbie, it's hard to know if you are providing useful info!

Like you and many others, I have made the rounds of various task apps and settled on Toodledo (not wild about that name). I have tested the other TD sections and they suit me fine. I run my day from the task manager and can switch to the Lists, Outlines, Notes, and Habits sections easily without having half a dozen apps open on the screen. For big jobs with notes and outlines and projects, I set up in Evernote/OneNote/Trello, depending. I, too, rely on Gmail/Gcalendar/Gdrive and I like the TD feature that makes it easy to send a gmail to a special Toodledo address that shows up in my task list. Thanks again for your nicely presented tips and insights--you are providing useful info, newbie or no. Best to you, Lara

I needed to hear this, so glad to have discovered your channel! I am struggling with 6 email inboxes and thousands of unread messages.... I sortof got a handle on it last summer with unrollme but they stopped allowing it in Canada (wtf??) so now I am back to square one...overwhelm! Can you give any advice about how to pare it down so I don't miss the good stuff? I have already unsubscribed from dozens of newsletters, but i still seem to be getting lots of unnecessary messages that crowd the inboxes. Arghhhhhh!

      Hi, Shay --
I have 2 suggestions for you and link to my videos that cover this: 1) use filters to send unnecessary emails to a different folder (ua-cam.com/video/Tgdm3DtkXuA/v-deo.html) and 2) declare email bankruptcy (ua-cam.com/video/cGpKD7XRDGk/v-deo.html). Those 2 things might help to make you feel less overwhelmed and then just staying on top of it will feel more doable. Hope that helps!

Was reading through the comments until the *bling* at 0:20 made me look at the vid. Wonder if she did that on purpose

Sorry about that. This is one of my earlier videos and the sound on the intro was up too loud! I’ve since made it softer so it isn’t as jarring.

Drafts (iOS). It is essentially the starting point for anything text-based.

I'll check it out -- but from a quick glance it looks like it how I use Google Keep. Video coming on that eventually!

You *could* use Drafts as a note-taking app, but that's not the original intent of the app. It's that you can mind dump in Drafts (and NOT care what app you need to open or waste time on setting up a new note, appointment, social media post, list, etc.) This part is critical for me because I often forget the content that I need to get out of my head.
Then when you have time, you could perform ACTIONS on them because Drafts can direct the items to the appropriate app. Using the Email action to email the item, use the ToDo action to direct that item to your to-do app, the appointment action to send an item to your calendar app and so on.
      1) Brain Dump 2) Actions (either now or later).
Google Keep is excellent for things in the short term. When I was using Google Keep, though, it became unwieldy as I put more and more stuff in it. I had a difficult time finding stuff.
If I were to use Google Keep, I would use it for the more immediate. And then I would know that I had to copy the information to something else and delete it from Google Keep.

Sounds interesting. I’ll check it out!
