- A look at the story and lore of Oni, with a few comments about Oni's gameplay and design in the opening. Oni was a third person shooter hybrid that was developed by Bungie West, a division of Bungie, and released in 2001 releasing only a few months before Halo: CE. . It was Bungie West's only game. With Oni Bungie created a unique combination of shooter and brawler.
Oni has a persistent mod community that survives to this day. Oni was technically the first Bungie game to really lean into cinematic storytelling. Myth: The Fallen Lords and its sequel only really flirted with it.
The intention of this video is to provide an accessible, broad, fast paced, and quick to consume version of the story of this Bungie classic for audiences not familiar with the game. A quick recap of the games story. But hopefully the experience is enjoyable for long time fans as well.

Its funny how the tctf looks like the halo 1 marines. Since they were developing this at the same time as Halo ce.
Wish bungie bought back oni and myth. Would be nice to have remasters on these games, or expand upon them with newer game releases in their series.
I think they reference the technology of this game through engrams in destiny.
Found the video through the Facebook group. Nice work, I enjoyed the watch. Oni is one of my favorite games of all time, I love the fluidity of movement and combat. Thanks to the AE mods, you can also play through the game as Rayman with his how custom special attacks, its one of the funnest things I have ever played XD
