- Nikon Z8 Review: It's a beast of a camera!
If you’re a hybrid video/stills shooter, this Nikon Z8 is everything you want in a full-frame mirrorless camera. Image quality, precision, flexibility-and a compact, lightweight body. It performs very well with a 45.7MP stacked sensor and an EXPEED 7 Processor in a system. With fast frame rates, it can caption the action without missing anything. I really loved using the z8

This camera was hard to return. Fantastic bit of kit
Nikon just has the best color science with their images.
For a brief review of this camera capabilities, it was a good review for me to seek other opinions on the Z8. Thank you for your candid video!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Great video, thanks! Just as an aside, you don't have to press/hold and turn. There is an option to disable this where you just press once and release and then turn. This is how I always have my Nikons set up.
Thank you. And great tip, think if I end up buying one myself I’d have all these little niggles figured out so it’s more to my style of usage. Great camera
How can you set that up mate, holding to change drives me nuts

Great review! The LCD top plate is useful if you are shooting landscape photography in bright sunlight, with the camera near the ground. In this situation, its a nightmare to see your readings and exposure. The LCD top plate solves that problem
Thank you and that makes so much sense
The viewfinder supports 120Hz when you activate the high frame rate option in the settings.
Ahh gotcha. Thank you
The colors look insane
In a good way? Haha
@@GadgetsBoy definitely
Hi, I know it only has electronic shutter, how does it handle artificial light like indoor parties does it suffer banding? And what’s the lifespan of the shutter if it doesn’t have mechanical
Hi, It doesn't suffer banding from my time with it. Not sure what the lifespan would be but again from experience, easily over 200,000 actuations so I wouldn't worry too much about it
Have you tried the F Nikkor lenses on the Z8 with the NTZ II adapter? How do they perform? Thank you so much
i haven't unfortunately, sorry
It works very well. I use the 200-400mm f/4.0 no complain yet.
Are Kenyan mate?
Good review
Very crisp!
Wish I could keep the camera
Is that a Nikon I see in your future? 😄
It really is a fantastic camera. Nikon tends to take their time, but when they arrive, they tend to deliver big.
Honestly, I'm so close to buying one lol, I'm waiting for the Lumix update to see if they can match the resolution as I'd only use it for stills
good!!!!!!!!
Great review. Keep it going.
There’s an option so you don’t have to hold a button when making change, only press. But a dedicated iso wheel would be great. Also you can get 120hz in the EVF.
Thank you. Honestly so much about the camera that I felt I didn't do it full justice
Fab 😊
😎😎
Oh and the Buttons lighten up in the dark
Better speak nice about Nikon or Nikon fan boys will thumbs down hard on your videos 😂.
Lol!
It’s a z9, what’s the big fuss 😂
The fuss is that no other camera company has a competing camera at its price point. The closest thing anyone else has is Sony with the A1 and that’s a $6.5k camera.
Ditto
There is 8k video for this camera on UA-cam that looks so good people thought it was AI
Wow, I've seen a few too. It's such a great camera
Great camera but Nikon prices are miles away from being classed as realistic.
Think it's in line with what's out there. Trusted
The Sony equivalent costs $6.5k…
Canon doesn’t even have an equivalent.
Yeah the A7RV is slightly the same here in the UK and the Z9 is slightly higher. Nikon is also one of the OGs, still trusted today by a lot of sports photographers that I see with the D850
@@GadgetsBoy yes, but for a high megapixel stacked sensor camera you’ll be looking at the A1. It’s crazy that a $4k camera is able to hang with the Sony flagship.
Ahh gotcha yeh it's crazy
