Redeemed Yuthura On Dantooine

- Follow-up to my 'Redeem Yuthura Ban' vid. I like to see how the people you've chosen to help turn out. It's pretty cool to see that Yuthura DID return to the Jedi - she was pretty wishy-washy about what she was gonna do when she left the Sith. ☼

Well, Korriban works better as the last star map anyway, what with Bastila's absence. Yuthura not dying just strengthens that case.
+Emily Shelley I did it yesterday with only 8 Persuade points. :) You may want to save before you talk to her, post-duel, though, so you can try again in case the odds don't roll in your favour.
Yuthura is one of those seemingly insignificant NPCs that end up having so much potential and even make you feel proud for their personal achievements.
I've only met her on Dantooine once, because later I found out that the enclave had been destroyed. Ever since that playthrough, I always leave Korriban for last. I like to imagine that all the Sith Revan helped redeem found their way to Coruscant, instead, and still had a chance to meet Revan again, after the Star Forge battle.
Furthermore (and ignoring the "Revan" book and TOR), Yuthura would've been an excellent companion in KOTOR III. Who'd be better than a former Sith to lead a search party to look for Revan and the True Sith? She could even be the PC's master. Alas...
Ah, a kindred spirit. I embrace your ideas. Yuthura was a great character.
Your comment couldn't be more likable. Yuthura was one of KotOR's hidden treasures, indeed.
+ Condēu̯i̯os Andīlixtos: In one of my fan fictions...:) I lost it however. I could rewrite it.
Maybe one day we will get kotor lll
@@piratavorak I’ll let you guys know when I make it. Or something close to it. Probably a fan series.
But I just can’t help myself, there’s such untapped potential left at the end of Kotor 2. If you do the light side playthrough you’ve helped stabilize the republic, restore some of the strength of the mandalorians, you’ve trained half a ship full of Jedi (your companions) and recruited or redeemed some sith along the way. Zaalbar possibly being Chief by now could also lend the aid of the Wookiees.
Just imagine it guys. A full scale battle between Canderous’ Mandalorians, Carth’s Republic, the Exile and their Jedi, the Wookiee’s, vs. the ancient sith that started it all, where Revan has been buying time for these forces since the end of kotor 1. KOTOR 3: The Lost Jedi.
"I met my old master. He.. He cried when he saw me." Oh damn, the feels.
So much for no emotions. I guess he's on the path to the darkside. No wonder Yuthura fell

If you chose to kill Juhani on Dantooine, it would have been interesting go be able to recruit Yuthura in her place.
The Avenger at Ilipa Theres a mod for that
NEVER!!!!
LMAO and then pretend that Juhani never even existed
The Avenger at Ilipa I kill her every time, Dark or Light, because she’s just so hideous lol
but if there is someone else to replace Juhani?
I found this mission and the Ajunta Pall storyline to be the most rewarding side quests.
"No one is beyond redemption, Kreia. No one."- Meetra Suurik, the Jedi Exile.
*Insert Darth Sidious laugh*
Maybe this is a reason to redeem her AFTER Dantooine is blown up/
there is no death; there is only the force
Polish Patriot because Dantooine is destroyed and so she’ll die
Ok, so she survives. Right. But is there any "cutscene" for that occasion, too? Do you meet her elsewhere?
Polish Patriot no, but to people who have already played through/seen this dialogue they’d rather have her live than talk to her again knowing full well she’s going to die
@@dv5873 Some Jedi did escape from Dantooine. What if she did too?
It's so amazing how the most unexpected people can be redeemed! I wish she could be a party member. I wish there were more of those to choose from, and that the player had more direct control, kinda like recruiting.
If you want her as a party member, I think there's a mod for KotOR that gives you the opportunity to recruit her if you killed Juhani at the Ancient Grove and if you don't visit Korriban last. I'm not 100% sure if it exists, but a comment in this comment section mentioned it.
*Even I've had the pleasure of redeeming Yuthura when I played the game years ago. The memories of hearing about her life story and learning about how she joined the Sith are coming back to me.*
*May the Force be with you, Yuthura.*
+Tony Chang (Tony The Changfilth) To bad she died when the Sith destroyed Dantooine.
purpandorange I'd like to think that she escaped with the Jedi masters at some point.
+Tony Chang (Tony The Changfilth) She died when malak destroyed dantooine, if you save her anyway. You kill her, malak kills her, or she's a sith master, no matter what the ending, its grim for her
Zionrezort Do the Sith explicitly say that they kill everyone on Dantooine? I can't remember.
+Tony Chang (Tony The Changfilth) Some Jedi escape. Like Vrook Lamar as he was in KOTOR 2.
I love this fucking game so much!
Never had this conversation, and i have played this game MANY times.
Davidrsq it's a MOD I believe
its not, I got it on xbox
Davidrsq i love it on xbox 1 i playing it now and i play kotor 2 after i complete light side female
I’ve played it so many times and never had this encounter either. Dantooine is always destroyed by the time I go to korribam.
I am going back through KOTOR now and have founded so many small convos I never had in the past. Problem is, the order of where you go really affects things. Like if you do Korriban last and have your persuasion high enough, you can convince Uthar you are indeed Revan, but by visiting Korriban last you obviously cannot return to Dantooine to see how Yathura is doing. A shame to convert her just to have her wiped out though
There's something about these two videos that's so... inspiring. Listening to her words about giving chances and everything, just makes me feel good to be light... I hope I run into this decision next time I play KOTOR I...
Damn it. That's what I really love about this game. So much interactions with the minor characters here! Way better than Swtor in my opinion. I wish they could make a Kotor 3 and have her as a companion maybe with a few other minor characters from Kotor 1 and 2. Sadly that probably won't happen. :-(
Way better than swtor
we should demand kotor 3
I agree. Only, I feel that that big corporations like Bioware will do what they will. It will take an army to sway them.
+romannk We got Battlefront 3, why not get KOTOR 3? It would be so cool... Can you imagine?
Battlefront 3 wasn't that good in my opinion. I may just be biased because I'm a hardcore fan of the original games but the new Battlefront was terrible. Felt like a generic shooter that just had Star Wars in the name.
This is probably the most satisfying part about going light side. Redeeming those who has fallen to the dark side, and then meet them on Dantooine and feel that you've actually done something.
And killing them is the most fun in the dark side.
And centuries later in SWTOR, a young padawan twilek named Yadira Ban is the boss for the first sith instance.... coincidence? I think not!
Good catch!
On a side note: it's kind of disturbing how many Jedi end up having kids, especially since it's forbidden to even have lovers.
Just a thought on this, it is forbidden to love, as passion is forbidden, but the code is less specific on procreation
See, that's the thing. We know force potential is genetic. So if all the jedi joined and never had kids, they'd eventually die out. Those who disobey those teachings are the fuckin saviors of the galaxy
DavidtheWavid how would they “die out”?
If force sensitives were having kids, then more Jedi, stronger Jedi, would be made.
City Guard He means if all force sensitives join the order, then play by the rules and therefore don’t have kids, then there aren’t any new force sensitives in the next generation.
Years and years ago, I wrote a fan fic about Yuthura; about how she arrived just in time to help evacuate Dantooine & eventually teamed up with Juhani and the Exile in an attempt to track down Revan. I never got the chance to finish it, since the website no longer exists.
Did you try FanFiction.net ?
If you ever re write it please send a link!
Use the Wayback Machine.
What website was it?
I always redeem her and always after the destruction of Dantooine so she doesn't die there. The unavoidable Dantooine death that makes me sad is that of Belaya, who starts off bitchy but is quite nice and helpful from there on. #BelayasLifeMatters
(Yes, I've played the game recently.)
I believe she is also the first Lesbian character in the Star Wars universe, so even more points for her being awesome.
She and Juhani are the first lesbian characters in the SW Universe. They had a relationship. Originally you could've also romanced Juhani if you played as a female Revan, but that was cut from the final game.
Fun Fact: in SWTOR there's a padawan you battle in one of the flashpoints of the game, Called Yadira Ban (if you are an imperial player). You kill her in combat. She seems like a direct descendant of this character.
It's so weird, but I've played through this game so many times and there are still things I haven't seen and done
You will be remembered as a hero for reviving the interest and love for this game
I cannot seem to find a video for it, but Kel Algwinn can also be found on Dantooine, in the training room. He was the timid guy at the Sith Academy who was having doubts and did not feel like he fit in. If you convince him to go to the Jedi, you can find him as a Padawan and thanks you for the guidance.
I always liked to think her past connection to the Dark Side made her more suspective to what malak would do and she left Dantooine for Coruscant (for example) before it got bombed and continued her journey as a Jedi, get a Padawan assigned to her and had a fulfilling career
Iv played though this game every year since release and never knew this happened!
"...it's difficult to fight off these feelings. How do you do it?"
"Well, you see, I have a limited number of options here... If I COULD crush everyone who annoys me, this game would be quite underpopulated..."
That’s.... that’s heartbreaking. I never went back to find Yuthura but I had heard she goes back to Dantooine. But here she is, expressing her gratitude, and requesting her friendship, all she really wanted.
And she just dies when Dantooine is attacked :(
too bad the sith bombed the hell out of them a few days later. RIP
That's what I was thinking, every time I helped someone on Dantooine or Taris I would think, "You're gonna get blown up anyway"
+kiwiii it makes the game so much more hard the second play through knowing everyone will just die 😭😂
I know this is an old comment, but Yuthura survives and even has a descendant, Yadira Ban.
A few of the Jedi on Dantooine survived, like Zhar and Vandar (both of whom Darth Nihilus later killed on Katarr). My headcanon has that Yuthura survived too.
Master Vrook survived aswell. He return to Kotor 2 to be this Douchy Jedi master to protagonist again :D
Holy shit, a bioware game where your choices ACTUALLY matter!
Seems this was your FIRST bioware game
>Kotor II
Nope, that one was made by Obsidian
Kotor 2... bioware?? bahahahha
Although the sith blow up the planet so... yeah
You haven't played many bioware games then.
I always had a soft spot for Yuthura, and to know that you can redeem her really makes me feel good, i hope i can figure out how to do this...
"..I think I might be able to find a little peace here.." a few star maps later, Dantooine is destroyed. I almost wished she'd just stayed on Korriban (still converted to the light side).
Aw dang, I always did Korriban last because it's easily the hardest with that solo mission, if you want a scoundrel/consular type character the battle against those force-immune triceratop-things is super tough without either the Plague force ability (high level needed) or a ton of expensive grenades and shields. I just hated the idea of playing as unskilled soldier, and I only tried guardian once (jump is fun, not much else there though.) So I've missed any content that involves doing any other planet last, or doing Korriban earlier.
I find it very sweet that Yuthura returned to the Jedi. I mostly tried to wait until after Dantooine’s attack so that she’d live. Mekel too.
Why would you spare Mekel ? You saw what he did to those hopefuls.
@@JabamiLain Because I’m a nice guy.
Yet another reason to love this game. It may be a coincidence, but what Yuthura said at 1:17 and 2:08 seems to foreshadow key ideas that were explored in depth later in KOTOR II, i.e., true wisdom found between LS and DS and DS not being the same as the Sith. There are probably more such links in other conversations.
I thought this was a MOD, turns out it's apart of the game!? All these years and I never knew, this game never ceases to amaze me. It's limitless.
You know, I've never really cared about the Jedi Code until Yuthura recited it herself. The depth of it was so real.
There's a mod that lets Yuthura rplace T3 as a party member, however.
Honestly i love t3 but I never use him as a party member, hed be great as a mini companion though like fallout dogs or baodures bit.
I enjoy redeeming Yuthura in my playthroughs, I have to say it is one of the most satisfying light-side things to do imo...it is sad though how she talks of the future, only she never gets to travel with you or truly be your friend..
Wow thanks for putting this up, I never would have known this had happened since I always do Korriban 3rd or 4th. I appreciate it!
you know this game gives you so much chills and feeling for the characters i remember when i was like 14 i was aiming to go Dark side but the diolagues make you feel so much emotion and you feel bad .. i just ordered the game on ebay for Xbox to play it on my 360 harddrive i just hope i can relive my memorys again
1 more year until this video is going to have a 10 year anniversary :) Kotor 1 and 2 are among my most memorable times playing games.

Wow.. never knew this. I will play again for this !! 🔥🔥
Until now I never knew you could redeem her I just love how much stuff Bioware acturlly put into this game.
Very touching. I never seen something like this before.
I never heard from her after this. Perhaps she survived and became one of the lost Jedi?
Ernst Stavro Blofeld Kotor 3 the jedi masters mod features her in it as a lost jedi to help you wage war on the true sith
+Lucas De La Torre kotor 3?
type on google kotor 3 jedi masters I am not gunna explain it lmao
Such a touching development... good to see. A happy ending for Yuthura.
At least, until the Sith come and bomb the Jedi Enclave to Hell and gone.
Wow. I've played the game numerous times and I didn't know you could redeem her. Cool.
i played the dark side n light many times...cool things you find out by playing both sides :)
+Hank Hill You have to beat her first, before she will consider turning to the Light!
I wouldn't trust her for a second.
OK, Mr. I-Don't-Want-To-Talk-About-It And-By-It-I-Mean-I-Have-Forsaken-My-Wife-And-My-Child.
This is why I love KOTOR so much. Bioware and Lucas Arts are the western kings of RPGs. Nicely done my friend.
I think I've played this game like 3 times, and I didn't know you could do this. Each time I tried to do things differently then the last play through. Even after so many different choices I've made, there are still more to be made. The people at Bioware are masters at what they do, this is truly the best RPG I've ever played.
as someone redeemed myself Yuthuras words hold wisdom
I love Yuthura’s character! She’s like the one person in the game where you want to help redeem herself anyway you can.
"Not really." On top of the game, the story and the dialogue being so awesome, the writers were also so spot on with the humour. Man I loved this game, it's a masterpiece.
I revisit this youtube user's vids to honor them being inactive, to rewatch the gameplay of choices I didn't take in this game, to honor my childhood through games.
true, i miss it and just hearing the music on this video ( the dantooine theme) makes me miss it even more
I really wish she would join Reven's crew. Having another lightsaber is ALWAYS welcome in MY book!
@PoopaPapaPalpatine totally agree! I've been playing this for years and I STILL find things I've missed from time to time...I've known about this one, but for the longest time I didn't know Hk-47 could be repaired, nor did I realize Canderous had a sidequest. This game is SO great and I'm not sure I'll ever have another gaming experience quite like it. It's a true stroke of brilliance.
Crazy. I have played a light sided character through more times than I care to count in this game and never realized you could visit Yuthura after redemption. And to think I found this video by complete accident. Thanks.
Yuthura: Perhaps we can travel together, then.
Revan: I think you should come with me now. I've played this game before.
Hmm. Nice ending to her character I must admit, but it pains me to think that it is possible that she could have died in the bombardment later on. I always went to Korriban last because I liked how she discovers that you are indeed Revan and that if you can return to the light side, so can she.
Also, thanks for choosing a female Revan!
This game is awsome,it have an incredible story and so much emotions
It's nice to see that she's changed from that ruthless Sith Master, to a kind, redeemed Jedi. It's most evident in her tone and the way she speaks.
I'M SO DOWNLOADING IT AGAIN!
You know, there were Jedi on Dantooine that survived the bombardment (Deesra Luur Jada was one), so she may not have parished there after all.
And when I first read your "amusing, but pointless", I immediately thought of Egon in Ghost Busters 2 : "Short but pointless" xD
I keep wanting to call her Urethra Ban. :D
But without urethra, where would pee be stored?

you can tell in this dialog that they hinted towards yuthura possibly joining the party
i love how yuthura can become a jedi after she fell to the darkside but the exile in kotor 2 kicks kicked out permently.
Wow. I knew you could redeem yuthura, just didnt know how.
Thanks! This is really helpful, I gotta try this!
I had no idea you could actually save her, I always go along with Uthar for the fun of it.
Jolee had it right, you know. It's indeed the hardest path; to walk the line between the Dark and Light side of the force. To find harmony in both.
i think a series of her character would've been awesome
Oddly enough...after watching this video...I feel more peaceful. :)
I did it the second time around and was shocked..and pleased I could! I didn't think it was possible! But I never saw her here...thanks!
Thanks for posting this. I had forgotten how good the writing was in this game. I never knew this scene existed in the game. It definitely resonates since Yuthura really does point out the flaws in Sith ideology. It might sounds good on paper, but Sith never accomplish anything good.
This game still continues to surprise me.
Thanks, ill always think that death is not the end of the journey, its the beginning of the new adventure
@NicholasGeschke True, I'm sure many sith before Vader fell to the dark side the same way Yuthura did, wanting to do something good only to bring about more pain.
Yuthura wanted to stop the slavers, Anakin wanted to save his wife, perhapes Reven and Malek had only the best intentions when they fell.
While passion isn't nesessary bad, it needs to be kept in check so one dosen't go too far. The prospect of being able to control power is tempting even for the most well intended people.
@wintersnoob in TOR there will be a quest which will reveal Revan's fate...and also it will include a cameo appearance of HK-47
@Gmanunit13vers2 make sure you have high persuade. choose the dialog option "tell me about yourself." after u quit the conversation, keep talking to her about her past. just keep choosing the right dialog options and soon you'll get to a point where EVERY time you talk to her she'll say "Greetings, friend. (chuckles) I do rather enjoy saying that" as a greeting. then at the last test, side with her against uthar. then you'll fight her, SPARE her, choose the right dialog and she'll be redeemed.
It's part of Shem's "Robes for Korriban Sith Students" mod. If you want something like it for your PC, try 'K1 Prequel Style Robes', also by Shem. :)
Experience with the Dark Side would make one wise Jedi, for sure.
The exile, Revan and T3 faced off against the emperor. They were then betrayed by a friend of theirs and the exile and t3 were killed, revan was then captured and held in stasis for 300 years before being released in The old Republic games.
Thanks for posting this. After playing the game 3-4 times over the years I just now finally managed to persuade Yuthura to go away from the Sith, but I did it too far into the game and the Leviathan hit, so I can't see her dialog on Dantooine.
I like Juhani, but not as much as Yuthura. I wish she was my companion instead. I don't know how they would have been able to do it unless your path through Korriban was forced after Dantooine. Then you could come back and get her right away.
"If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One- I am become death, destroyer of worlds." -Robert Jungk's 1958 Brighter than a Thousand Suns
The chances of her survival would be very slim as the only Jedi I am 100% sure survived is Master Vandar as I am not one to look into things like this. I only look up something if it really catches my interest. Imagine how pissed she would be if once she finally came back, they all died.
Damn-this game had incredible writing. Such depth, such meaning. Games today don't really compare. KOTOR was a league all it's own.
As for Yuthura, she's always really interested me. My first playthrough of KOTOR I made the mistake of killing Juhani in the Grove (Really wanted that lightsaber) and was incredibly curious and anxious to see who my final party member was going to be.
When I saw Yuthura, given her unique appearance, I immediately assumed it was going to be her. She didn't. :(
Yuthura really was the most impressive of her kind that we meet in both KOTORs. Not just those great markings, those tats, but her persona, flawed as it is yet believable. Funny, she does invoke compassion.
I would hope she's survived the bombing of Dantooine, but then again, TOR is the next sequel to this storyline and I don't care much if she's an NPCs in an MMO.
Wonder how long it'll be till KOTOR returns to singleplayer. I fear it'll remain stagnant as an MMO for too long, as Warcraft has.
I didn't know that you can rescue Yuthura at all. :-O
I always used to tricked her and Uthar into weakening each other and as i got light side points at the end of the fight against both of them i had no idea that there is a "more light" way. Cool
i get paid on friday and i will be ordering this game again for my xbox thats still in great shape. I bought it bout 10 years ago refurbished at game stop and haven't had one problem out of since. ordinaryrapper08 yea its a great time killer -- Fuk Flappy bird! lol
There is no emotion, there is no passion.
I had an idea for a villain once, a jedi who took that simple idea to the extreme.
I haven't seen this before, but that is probably because I always do korriban last. To save her though, you have to befriend her while at the sith academy (ask about her, and there are some persuades you have to do). Then betray uthar with her. She will decide to kill you, try to convince her otherwise. then she will attack, then lose, then yield, and you can convince her to redeem herself. After that, I assume you find her on dantoine if it still stands.
Yeah, it's Revan's robe. It's just been reskined a bit. :D
@Gryphex If you kill Juhani, you get no replacememnt, but her friend, the one who thanks you for saving her is overcome with anger at your actions, and leads to an encounter with her later on in the game. You should try it out on your next darkside playthrough to see it.
Yes you can if you do keep talking to her until she calls you her friend then you get the option to redeem her after defeating her in the tomb.
But I had never seen this scene since I always did Korriban last since that is the only time I could get Carth's son to show up.
Wow that is the first time I've seen this. I'll try it out. Thanks for the video.
HOLY CRAP, i never though this was possible......now i want to go back home and achieve this
I wish there was a way to pick who you wanted as your official party. Like switch out somebody or have unlimited room for others, that way the game designers could make it possible to persuade anyone onto your team. Just think...an entire party of Mandalorians, or Jedi, or Sith, or anything! Just a thought...and a difficult idea to accomplish I'm sure, but it would make every single gameplay all the more different.
@Kinkseraph In Star Wars terms, crying indicates either love or fear is present. Either you care about someone enough that you're crying, or you are afraid of something enough that you're crying. What you care about or what you're afraid of can be used to control you. Hence, weakness, in Sith eyes. The Sith value ruthlessness to do whatever advances your own power, without regard for how others may suffer. Tears indicate you may care enough to choose a person's good over your agenda.
This made em want to download the game back again...yep, here we go again.
seeing all these vids make we want to play the games again ( for like the millionth time) there are so many difrent varriations
Yea its a random scene if Carth is in your party when you get of the ebon hawk (it was tatooine for me) npc walks up and says he saw the son alive and that he is on Korriban, take Carth there and talk to the son in the sith academy.
Statement: LOL! "Dantooine goes all splodey..." LOL!!
This is really cool, i've never seen this before.
