Seeing all those people singing and having a fun time really made my day. I would just like to say that MLP has brought so much joy into my life, and clearly into the life of others, and would like to say thanks to all the bronies and developers of the show to remain strong and keep doing what they love.

I'm not a brony in any way but I do respect the community, they seem like open minded people. Some bronies just like to rub their fandom in other people's face, that's the only thing that bothers me.
But after all, I don't see as much of a problem with liking the show as an adult in general.

I'm 28 years old and I love the Friendship is Magic cartoon. While I may not wear/make costumes, write fanfics, go to cons or draw fanart like some MLP viewers.
I still love the show because, unlike some dreck in the world of animation; FiM does what it does and in a way where they don't hammer the message down the viewers' throat.
It shows a program with likeable characters, meaningful messages, oftentime relatable situations (I connect with Scootaloo a great deal, being a slightly disabled person) and great comedy that doesn't resort to the cliches of toilet humor.
With all that in mind, I ask all the adults among us. Why is it so bad that both men and women of EVERY age group watches this show, when it has so many positive qualities.
I get more entertainment out of FiM than I do from an entire season's worth of Uncle Grandpa, Dora, South Park or even Family Guy

Very good summary. Why can't an adult watch a kids show. No one bats an eye when I do Transformers stuff but apparently ponies is too far. My roommate is foreign and he couldn't see the problem. He compared it to Disney movies. There isn't anything wrong with being male and liking Beauty and the Beast or Mulan, they are good movies, targeted at girls but written for everyone. FiM is the same way.

Precisely with me and Blues' Clues. Everytime I watch the parts of the show that had Steve is a major nostalgia trip. I tell this to people all the time, and they don't judge me further than "an egghead fairy(USAF personnel) that still enjoys watching a show for kids 3-7 years of age."

Can I just like a cartoon without be SOMETHING?
"I like that episode, I don't like that one"
"I like the style and the animation, I don't like the incoherent personalities"
May I just like this show more than many others and DON'T want to cuddle a talking beast at the same time?
Perverts or not, I think people don't like the bronies just because they are "too much" into an 'unusual passional hobby'.
And the rage is build up when they take themselfe too much seriously.
For instance: we are similar, I'm a cosplayer.
But the common coaplayer isn't a cosplay all the time, he don't make videos to share about how much he's PROUD to be a cosplay.
We are not 'proud', we just LIKE to be like that, because we know it's just a game.
We know that WE are the weird people and we also know that is normal that the 'common people' will find us weird... and that's ok for us.
We may answer them "I know, but it's just for fun. We are dumb people who like to dress like our heroes", we will never answer "Screw You! I'm prod to be what I am!"
English is not my language, I hope that I cleared enough what I mean.
    -BETMARK-
(see, I also didn't hated or trolled. 2 miracles in a row)

I personally think of the show as a less socially accepted Spongebob. Think about it, nowadays, lots of teenagers and older people watch Spongebob frequently without being bugged, while bronies have to deal with the trolls because the show was originally stylized for the age demographic of little girls. Because Spongebob was stylized for all demographics originally, it's more socially accepted than MLP. Faust wanted to turn the show around, to aim for all ages instead of just being a glorified commercial, which Spongebob did immediately on its pilot. It'll just take time, and mainstream society will start to accept it.

Ok so I will be 10 just this month and is it OK for me to call myself a brony? I am still technicly a kid and my friend is the same age as me and he is a brony and then I thought : Hey I should be a brony! but is it OK? You did say that little girls who watch it are in between 6 and 8. I am just about to be 10 so do you think it makes sense? I just want to know. I mean my family knows I like it and I tell them pony stuff ALL THE TIME and somethimes they are like: "ok I cant understand what you are saying" or "ok I get it lets talk about it later" and sometimes it hurt my feelings and some kids at my school think its wierd but most of my friends like it as well. My best friend Rocky is a brony but he pretty much just likes RD. Like ONLY R.D. So is it ok for me to be a brony/ pegasister?
P.S KIDS CAN GO TO EVERFREE?! OMG I NEED MY DAD TO TAKE ME TO EVERFREE OR BRONYCON OR SOMETHING! MAN I WISH I KNEW THIS SOONER!!!

This is the video that first taught me about the fandom (around 2014). I had seen the term "brony" get thrown around a bit online, so I Googled "what is a brony" and found this video. It interested me, so I eventually watched the first few episodes, and have been a huge fan ever since.
To the original creator of this video, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for helping get me into this show. It has truly changed my life.

Bronies are very immature not to mention hypocritical. Their fandom claims to be based on "Love" and "Tolerance" yet when someone (example: me) hates the show My Little Pony and dislikes bronies based on how they act and them watching the little girls show alone, they happened to get butthurt and shove their opinions down non bronies throats.
So yeah.. Bronies are everything I dislike.
Bronie feel free to go butthurt on me I can really care less now. I would just be proving my point again.
But If anyone who plans on watching the show or become a brony.. I can't change your mind or tell you don't do it.. but just don't become a rabid fan.

I once heard somebody mention the term brony, but I didnt have a clue what they were talking about. It wasn't until recently with the purchase of a My Little Pony doll, an equestrian girl named Rainbow Dash, for my 6 year old niece that I discovered the show and learned about its fandom, including bronies. Now I dont want to get off on a rant here but I was a little taken by surprise when I found out that adult men were among the show's many fans. I have to admit that, as an adult man, I like a lot of shows I probably shouldn't, but what I don't understand is why the need to dress up and demonstrate their love for the show. It only opens themselves up to ridicule and embarrassment. Still, i with the shows that I like, which I am too embarrassed to even mention, have no room to ridicule anybody for liking anything, not even My Little Pony. In truth, I stand amazed and astonished that this is even happening, and I have started watching just to see what the fuss is about, but you won't be seeing me dressing up and letting the whole world know I am a fan, no matter how much I end up liking it. However, to those of you who just dont care what others think, all I can say is all power to you. Sorry if this final remark is hurtful in any way, but "let that freak flag fly." I think we're all a little freaky, dont you?. Some of us are just a little bit more demonstrative about it. At least that's my opinion, I could be wrong

I liked this video up until you assumed that most bronies are white, heterosexual and in the 16-20 age range. Considering I myself am 27, and in the time I've been in the fandom (since a couple months after the show first premiered) I've met many bronies of many different races (in fact, it's probably one of the least-predominantly-white groups I've ever been a part of) and *certainly* nowhere near all of them are straight. I get that you want to dispel the idea that "bronies are all gay men" but the fact of the matter is that many *ARE* gay/bi/pan/asexual/etc... and again, it's one of the most diverse groups along those lines as well that I've ever been a part of.
And please, especially with the age -- when I first got into the show in the early days, and even to this day in some chats and communities, I'm one of the *youngest*. I mean, yeah, sure, there're tons of younger bronies and a lot of *any* given fandom/community is in that 16-20 age range online, but a huge swath of the fandom is 25+ people who are simply huge fans of animation as a medium -- and have been waiting for a show with the quality of FiM for years.

There are extremists in every fandom to ever exist, but are more active and aggressive in the MLP fandom because they seek acceptance more than any other fandom would need to. Along with the tension already created by gender separation, extremists feel the need to prove themselves equal, and they take that too far.

Bronies are MLP fans. That's it.

I binge watched up to 80 or so episodes because I was interested in why people liked it so much once. It turns out that all I really liked in the end was their BIG ADORABLE EYES and cute little noses. I admit I'm a simplistic person because that's enough for me to like a show. I played COD AW back then too so maybe that's why.

As someone who loves media and takes my critical perspective seriously, I really like MLP FIM and rate it 8/10. I really appreciate the balanced screen time between the Mane 6 and how each of them have distinct well crafted personalities. The messages about friendship usually aren’t amazing but they usually have great execution. Every episode would focus on a certain character trait or character dynamic with some great use of fantasy elements, sweet tone and even traditional humour and animation style. I also really like the cutie mark concept and was really invested in the cutie mark Crusaders plot (which I found to be well developed). I do have problems with this show, like some episode can have repetitive progression making messages kinda forced and Rainbow Dash’s underdog story felt a little undeveloped and it felt like it was concluded to soon. But overall I had I good time with this show and I can really see the appeal to it.

I came to 'MLP: FiM' after seeing so many cards created based on the series on yugiohcardcreator. I felt there was no way ponies could stand up to even the most basic of level-1 monsters, but I also felt that I should check to be sure. My first resource for checking out a new series is TVTropes. Once I figure something is at least halfway watchable, then I look for clips on UA-cam. Little did I know the Hub and Hasbro allow full episodes to be uploaded here, and there were two seasons waiting here for me.
So yes, I've concluded that the ponies, based on little girl toys, of 'MLP: FiM' can take on such ;Yu-Gi-Oh' mainstays as Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician, no problem (see 'Dragonshy,' and pretty much any episode where Twilight uses an OP spell).
I watch 'MLP: FiM' for its stories, in-depth character and development, animation and style, and music. 'MLP: FiM' has consistently surprised me with its style, tone, and adult humour and approach to sensitive subject matter. I also like that it doesn't take itself too seriously most of the time, although there are moments when humour is inappropriate. The entire season 4 finale, for example, had a very serious tone, as reflected by the fact that Pinkie Pie, the 'party animal' of the Mane6, had very few lines.
Certain aspects of 'MLP: FiM' make it hard to believe that the target audience is little girls. Almost all of the references would probably go over their heads, as would the humour. The vocabulary for most of the Mane6 characters are appropriate to characters of adult or young adult age. Not to mention certain Nightmare Fuel scenes, like the Sanity Slippages that happen in 'Party of One' and 'Lesson Zero,' as well as the battle scenes, like in season 4's premiere and finale.
Most of the premieres and finales are adventure-type stories of the save-the-world level. Only 'The Best Night Ever' does not follow that trend. Most of the rest of the episodes are more slice-of-life, and address issues the characters have while they go about their lives. The Mane6 characters are built around stereotypical archetypes, and much of their development is learning from issues and mistakes that they have because of this. There are some adventure episodes outside of the premieres and finales, however they tend to work really well. There isn't a single character featured in ALL of the episodes, however Twilight Sparkle is the one being followed the most.
There is also a younger group, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who are three school-age ponies. A cutie mark is the picture on a pony's flank that relates to that pony's special talent and identity, so episodes that center around members of the CMC tend to focus on themes of identity. If you watched 'Powerpuff Girls,' you may also notice similarities between their personalities and those of the CMC.
'MLP: FiM' has an awesome team of voice actors who continue to bring the characters to life. They include Tara Strong, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germaine, Ashleigh Ball, and John de Lancie as the reoccurring villain Discord (the subject of the fan-made song, you heard).
Not every episode is created equal, and there are different writers working on the show. To see some differences in how some were liked or disliked more than others, you can search out analyses and critics. I don't have a 'favourite' writer because they each have their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as good and bad days. At worst, I can just sit back and enjoy an episode purely for its entertainment value. I do recommend avoiding 'Spike At Your Service,' though, as the title character is badly out of character.
I also enjoy some fanworks, as they can be incredibly well done. This goes for pretty much anything by JanAnimations or Silly Filly Studios. If you do look into fanworks, be sure to carefully check the descriptions and some reactions because... some of it is pretty damned dark and gory. I don't know where these guys came up with such ideas, and I don't wanna know.

Honestly, I don't like bronies, I think they're weird. I don't like the show. Does that make me a hater?
For example, on the bus going to school, someone sat down next to me and tried to french kiss me (we are both male). I shoved him across the seat and said "don't touch me." The next day I got on the bus, I didn't want him to sit down next to me and he asked me if I was a hater. By the way I go to a high school.
Does this make me a hater if I don't like bronies or the show at all and I think they're both very strange and weird. But I don't mind them as long as they're quiet about their fandom.
There are 2 types of bronies at my schools
    -The broadcasters
-And the ones who keep it to themselves
See - I'm best friends with one of the ones who keep them to themselves. I don't act weird around them or try to make them feel bad for their fandom. But when one of the brony broadcasters come and try to sit next to me on the bus wearing pony pajamas and a fluttershy hat, I say this seat is taken. I think It's perfectly fine for anyone else to feel the same way, right?

Your first example is an invasion of your personal space and you are fully in the right to distance yourself from that person.
OTOH, if a "broadcaster" is only wearing the merch as a statement and is not coming on you or persuading you to "join the herd", I think your reaction might be a bit uncalled for.
For me, a hater is someone who shows an unprovoked, offensive reaction or proactively searches for us to spew hate, slander, and misinformation.

so glad i didnt think of the wrong thing...you have no idea how many times ive seen videos explaining every last flaw with mlp ._. while it may be odd for a male in H.S(me) to watch this...i LOVE it. you were right on the reasons why bronys are out there im also an artist and i watched how smooth the animations were and i know how to play saxophone and piano so i payed attention to music too. then theres the fact that i love storys and this has a much deeper plot than most kid shows, and people cant look past it being ponys. truthfully i originally looked past it for a period of time but ive grown to love each pony in the series from the main characters to the small ones like derpy colgate dr whooves and all the others in between. this fandom is one of the largest that i have seen with people who can animate almost exactly like the show, and the best part is that the show actually encourages it for some of them (dr.whooves) after the doctor shows up once and someone makes a series for it they continue putting the doctor in episodes so the dr whooves creator can do more related to the show. i love to see all the aspects of the fandom like this and fufflepuff and the music is amazing.

Yup, I feel you there. I actually ranted about this in my 3k sub special.. Even in the comments, people are telling me to be something I don't want to be. Some people might be okay with the term "Pegasister" but I'm not. I'm apart of the "Bronies" because that is generally what we're referred to when someone refers to the My Little Pony fandom as a whole. People leave Pegasisters out because "Females cannot be Bronies." LIES. ALL LIES.

Kyra Draws Ughhh, yes! Everyone is always telling me, "Don't boys only like my little pony?" or, "Why would you like my little pony, grow up." No, just no. I also feel like the term Pegasister and everyone that is a "Pegasister" are just thrown aside as the smaller population of pony loving people. Not to mention less merchandise for us all together, I have to buy guys shirts to get the designs I like. It's not like anybody can tell though xD
By the way, I watched another one of your videos where you said you were home schooled for five years, and you had to Doctor Who merchandise. The things you were saying were like my exact situation and it blew my mind up. I started online schooling a year and a half ago just because I felt like It.

What was that song? I've watched all episodes so far (the Rarity episode in Manehatten today) and don't recognise it.

The song is called "Discord" and it's by Eurobeat Brony, but Living Tombstone does remixes of it as well. You can find it here. /watch?v=xPfMb50dsOk
