Set ur auto save to every 5 I’ve found that 5 min loss of progress is better than the default 10 but yes do use manual saves when doing potentially sketchy things
Make sure your starting luck is at least 5, if not 7 or 8. For your first perk, take idiot savant. The 7 and 8 perks are highly useful as well, dealing in critical damage and banking. Luck is the most important special stat for any player, especially beginners.
If you want to use idiot savant also download a mod to silence the annoying sound effect that it makes.. Fortunately it can be used even after the update
You forgot about supply lines, that's how you can use materials between your settlements the junk doesn't show up in the workshop but you can use the junk when you are building things in your settlements. Other than that it's a great video
Sell .38 rounds for easy caps. I never personally used any weapons, that take .38 ammo, so this helped me a lot. Also, the only junk I sell is pre-war money. You find a ton of it, and it's not super useful as junk. But you can make a fortune of caps by selling it to Carla or the various merchants in Diamond City.

People who don't like mindless shooters but love RPGs will love VATS. I use both, given that free aim has its advantages, especially at long range. But VATS is extremely fun to use when you fight ghouls. Shooting a leg off makes them harmless and easy to kill.
Use the glitch to get all the items from the trader for free, and dont let the game update to fix it[dont connect to the internet, but it will still try to update automatically even while disconnected if oyu ever been on the internet]

Loot everything. Take everything you can. Especially junk. Save regularly. I love fallout.
Big one is MOD!!! Gathers Out There is one of my favorites for turning settlements into functioning military bases.
Thats an op tip, along the lines of KILL STUFF!! 😅
When fighting ghouls, aim at the legs. If you shoot a leg off, they are harmless. Run in on the downed ghoul and melee finish them to preserve ammo.
i do it for all enemies except mutant suicide bomber which i go for the right arm

How to throw grenades on the PS5?
I’m guessing the binding is the same from ps4, so hold R1 once the grenade is equipped
