In this video, I'll be going over everything you need to know as a hairstylist when offering extensions at your salon. I will be doing a live client consultation on camera so you can see what my dialog is, and also breaking down my pricing for tape-in and sew-in extensions.

As a stylist for 25 years I am really enjoying your videos, my techniques are very similar to yours. With that being said, I have been doing Hotheads tape in extensions for over 10 years, but want to start doing IBE. My question is, do you charge for the initial haircut/blending or do you include it in the installation price? Also, when the client comes back in for the move up, do you charge $150 per full row including the removal in the price? Hope that makes sense. Thank you so much.

Thank you for the video! If you ever do a color re-touch with gray hair / highlights I would so love to see how you tackle this! Iv just been graduated for about 6 months and most of my clients want there highlights to the scalp which makes it harder… if they only wanted a root shadow 🤦🏼♀️
I do those all the time! don’t overthink it, I usually apply the root color first then do the highlights over top with a slightly higher volume to break through the color 💗 just foil like normal after the roots are on!

How much time do you book for the install? Do you wash and blow dry the hair? If you do is it included in the price? How much time do you book for the move up?

I usually book an hour per row of installation, and I suggest my clients come in with clean hair for move-ups, but on the initial installation I usually wash and dry the hair but it depends on the client.
