I remember playing this when it came out and getting so bored at the beginning with young Conner, that I wandered into a British fort and killed everyone in it for fun. Feels like that's not something I should have been able to do, but it was the highlight of my play-through!
Funny how playing as young Ezio was really fun. Actually, all his ages were fun but particularly the young and middle aged Ezio were my favorite. Then you have young Connor who never ceases to be boring and uninteresting.
I wonder if anyone else remembers the rumors of Assassin's Creed 3 being a real conclusion to Desmond's story by playing as him and taking place in the then present day. I was and still am honestly looking forward to an actual present day Assassin's Creed game. Not just small modern segments.
@@rumotu that is true, I just think the other idea would have been cooler. It always seemed like they were building Desmond up to be a main character on his own game, but he just ended up being basically a side character.
honestly, that would have been a lot better than just killing him off in a single cutscene only to be mentioned once in Bllack Flag & then drop the entire Abstergo storyline forever
3 just a bad game... they make it more story base not a game... and just market for American with all revolution war shit.... but it is first assassin game that i bother finish...
While I know it's far from perfect, I love AC3. It reminds me of christmas 2012 when I had a nice week alone, doing nothing but playing this game. Such a chill time. And as someone who is not from the US, not knowing its detailed history, the game made me read a lot on Wikipedia. The subversions didn't affect me, but it did help me appreciate history more.
That´s actually almost the same memory that I have from this game and every time I think about AC3 I get reminded of those chill days while running through the woods and hunting stuff. I loved that you could change between the seasons once the game was finished.
I honestly enjoyed this game a lot and I even sympathised more with Connor than with Ezio; introverts stick together I guess. But seriously, as someone who is not from America I had little to no historical knowledge about the USA and its history. But AC3 presented it in a clever, fun, interesting, and sometimes emotional way. If you think about it, we had spent 5 years under the simple assumption that Assassins = good, Templars = evil, but AC3 introduced nuance to the franchise by allowing us to play as Haytham and then Connor, and then their unfolding relationship as well as Connor's fruitless political alliances made it all seem so raw and hopeless. Even though Connor strived to come to terms with the Templars (Haytham), he unknowingly failed and resorted to murder them. And as he tried to stay true to the Assassins' ethics, he allowed the native peoples to be used and betrayed. Perhaps if he had been more willing to deal with the Templars the natives might have had a slightly different end than they did with Washington. Well this is going to bore people to death, sorry for the rant.
Great commentary. As someone who gets into the roleplay of the characters in games, Washington's betrayal of the Connor's nation made me feel it right to drop the Assassin's uniforms and go back to buckskins. Adherence to ideologies of colonists led to the loss of their home and that couldn't be reconciled.
You make lots of valid points. Personally, I enjoyed the gradual setup of Connor (which would have been even more compelling if the head continued into his own trilogy of games) and the way they introduce your future targets as allies of Haytham before the reveal that he is a templar and the main villain. Haytham was actually a very compelling character and the sections where Connor and him interacted were a blast story-wise. I also appreciate that they tried something very different with this game and didn't just copy the Ezio trilogy. However, it's basically the Assassin's Creed 1 to Black Flag's Assassin's Creed II, meaning, it feels more like a partially failed, partially successful experiment than a really great game. Plus, at the time it clearly seemed to emulate RDR in some aspects, like the hunting mechanics, the wilderness and so on, but mission structure felt very restrictive even back in 2012 and there was no equivalent to random events in RDR1 and later GTAV, which made the world feel more alive. I did enjoy the more personal and story driven approach to the Homestead missions and Assassin brotherhood building missions, though, instead of just funneling some money to build your settlement, you could through story missions actually learn about the people who live there and see the Homestead evolve from untamed barren wilderness to flourishing settlement.
I'm one of the odd ones who loved this game. It has some definite issues. Mostly with mission design and story IMO. I think they underutilized the revolutionary war setting honestly. At least during the campaign. They kind of just show the beginning of the war and then skip to the end. But the setting, I loved it. I loved the free roaming frontier. The huge meta hunting and trading system. The naval battles. The season changes. I loved hunting squads of redcoats in the woods from the trees. I loved the homestead story missions. I loved getting into wild foot chases with soldiers in the cities. And I loved the brutal feel of the combat. For me, these outweighed the sloppier missions and somewhat lackluster story and main character.
@@Niater8106 yeah I liked ambushing the British better than the colonial army lol The redcoats marching around and stationed everywhere gave you that feeling of an oppressive occupation and made you feel like a guerrilla fighter always taking them out and scurrying away
@@supahgualtah it's one of my favorites. My second playthrough though I definitely felt impatient to get to the point where the game opens up proper lol

I entertained myself for hours just walking around Boston. I was geeking out hard becauseI'm Massachusetts born and raised so this was like the Twilight Zone. I was even comparing it to a map of modern day Boston and, they got everything right.
Same here. 3 was my first AC game, and it was also the first game I ever remember being hyped for in the months preceding it's release. I'm 22 now, and it's been a long rollercoaster road of ups and downs with this franchise.
I played this game on xbox 360 like three years ago and actually really liked it. I like the history of the revolutionary war and I thought interacting with this world was so interesting.
At least the ending of AC3 gives us a sense of finality. At least Desmond's story is over and they did not ruin it with their post AC3 bullshit. AC4 was amazing and AC Unity was beutiful but half made, however the Modern Day story did not go anywhere
@@brianrodriguez8146 Yeah, it is very sad. At least while AC4 did not have proper Modern Day, there was AC Initiates which continued it, but that was ruined by AC Unity and Syndicate
@@paulmayson3129 Originally the writer wanted to end the story with 3 but you know ac makes them good money so they wrote themselves into a corner basically
I might be one of the only people who actually likes Desmond and misses his presence in the narrative. I miss his conversations with Shaun and Rebecca, and honestly he gave the Templar plot focus. Since his departure we get all the past action without any real reference to how the present is being affected. Anybody remember the Juno build up and then we never heard from her again? If you don’t read the extended lore you’d never know how that ended. I wish they would put more effort back into the modern day storyline, hopefully they do that with Layla moving forward.
I was confused so I looked it up... OH MY GOD THIS FUCKING MISSION! I actually cried and yelled at my sister because she wanted to watch TV while I was trying to 100% it. And also, let's not forget, the side-quests were buggy as hell when it came out, some characters or items just wouldn't show up, or the game itself would refuse to acknowledge the progress of that side-quest, smh
Just 100%'d the game a few days ago myself. I flared up a bit when he said that. there's a couple of missions I can think of that gave me trouble, like the naval mission where you have to sink them by shooting their powder keg stores. I unknowingly upgraded my ships ram too early and the whole thing was a crap shoot.
Doing sword combos, and then to turn around and blast someone with a gun was so satisfying. It was what got me through the first section of it back then, otherwise I would’ve dropped off earlier.
I mean I love ac3 too, it’s what started assassins creed for me, but the combat is too easy in ac3 and ac4, in games like ac revelations they have there similarities but at least there’s more buttons than B or circle to then just kill someone, trust me in older games it’s still pretty easy but the combat doesn’t bore me like those two games can cause it’s not constantly a cake walk.
Ohh, I remember completing this game... That one naval mission where you have to kill all 3 enemy ships using its weakspot, aswell as that BS *"An Extraordinary Man"* trophy... Pure fcking luck, I'll tell you that much. But, in the end, despite it's flaws, really, really liked it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit, one Trophy I forgot was the *"Original Gamer"* trophy. I learned to hate Archilles for this BS
Oh yes, the "Encyclopedia of the Extraordinary Man'' was one of the most mundane and boring tast Achilles ever gave to Connor. I always saw this as a prank of his part, as if he expected him to be a historian or something!
Jacob Booker Haytham is my favorite Templar of the series, of course why not, he is charismatic as hell. Apart from Ezio by default, my personal favorite Assassin is Bayek.
I really miss how you could climb a lot of the trees in AC3 compared to the later games. Also that dart rope tool to either hang people on trees or to pull them towards a bush you were hiding before assassinating them was fun I miss that tool.
I loved the fact you play as Haytham first, it makes the story feel like a big saga rather than an isolated adventure, and takes advantage of the genealogy aspect of the narrative with the animus
I would love to see you complete Liberation! Always a game I was intrigued by, but never had a vita. Plus, being a handheld game means it should be relatively short, I hope!
Yeah, it is small and short compared to the other full-sized titles. You could 100% it in, like, 15-20 hours. But I personally really like it because of the setting (French New Orleans) and for having one of the best Assassin protagonists in the series.
I played through the game on Wii U back in the day when it was released The game supports 3D Mode, even when playing on the gamepad. I actually tried that and loved it back then. All in all I liked the game and loved the Story the more it progressed. The tie in chapter with AC Liberation was also great
Another Wii U trooper! I recently finished it myself, and on that same system, too. I had my fair share of fun with it, but it feels a little clunky in some aspects. I just never felt in control while running, let alone while free running. I always wondered if this was somehow a Wii U-exclusive control issue or all versions are like that...
@@migaDbr I can tell you that the controls got more responsive in later series entries. I know the feeling. Feels kinda unresponsive at times and the character does what he wants sometimes
@@migaDbr As someone who is uploading their first full playthrough using the PS4 version, I can safely say that no, it's not a Wii U only issue. Then again, I'm also disabled which affects my fine motor skills (even typing this has been difficult), so you know. YMMV and all that.
@@DestinyTrioInc I found out about it by accent. It's a fun feature they should bring back. Valhalla could have cool kill animations with the shield :)

Jirard, have you considered Twitch streaming your completion of the games? It could be an extra source of revenue in light of the youtube greedy clutches and it could give insight to your fans as to how the process of these videos are done and make them feel like they were a part of it, giving you another connection to your viewers! 18:03 "A white robe with a hood is still a white robe with a hood, it makes no difference to how I play the game" Man does the Assassin's Creed fanbase need to hear this
Assassin's Creed III was the first game I ever finished. Good memories. Then I went back and played it again with some friends last year and ... woof. The first half is Haytham gathering a crew and then the second half is Connor killing them. As a result, the whole game just feels like you're undoing what you had just done. I'll stick with Black Flag for my AC fix. Great video!
Sos N I like origins(mostly because I’ve always wanted Egypt setting) a little. I don’t like odyssey and refuse to play that junk. Valhalla looks badass and if they improved it a little more than odyssey then I’ll buy it. I really miss they way they use to be and not rpg.
I recently played this too. In fact I finished it around the same time as this upload. Weird. Never has a game had so much potential but fallen short in my eyes. Flawed, but worth a playthrough.
That's a fair review. I never finished this game despite coming back to it multiple times because of how much I enjoyed the setting. You managed to explain very well what works and what doesn't in an exhaustive yet concise video. Good job on the writing, I had a couple good laughs. I don't really care about the AC games that came out after that, but I will probably watch anyway if you make a video about them, if only to determine if I'm missing out on something.
Desmond was always my favorite part and I'm probably one of the few who wanted to play as a Desmond who was in full out assassin mode. 3 gave a bit of that but I looked forward to a full on future with a little past.
One of the best AC games, easy. I loved the Homestead missions, loved Connor and his story. Absolutely hated the beginning, until you get to Connor and then when 4 came out it made me appreciate 3s intro much much more. So good
I completely recommend playing Liberation whether you do it for the show or not. It’s shorter than the other games in the series but the setting is great and the role shifting gameplay is different. Plus, Aveline was the first female main character in the series and as such is an important milestone.
This is my favorite AC game. A look at our own history and how we came about with a sicfi twist. And theo nly AC game where no historical figure was assasinated so they had to make NPC's to kill xD

@@Lag22987 I was not an Assassin's Creed game as it fails virtually all the criteria written by the original creators of the series in the "10 Commandments of AC". It only bears the name and that is all. This is what I cared mostly about. However to answer your question, it may have been a solid game, but what it depicted was certainly not Classical Greece of the 5th century BC, but more of a fantastical mythohistorical westernized pop-culture RPG version of Greece, which many many flaws concerning it's history, it's culture and civilization, it's language, it's clothing styles and it's warfare combat. And of course the place did not look that much like Greece, and they made it too small if they wanted to include the whole country on one singular map, which was a bad idea. But it was better executed in Origins.
I know I’m weird but have always really liked this one. I like the opening with Hatham and Connor is a little annoying but I still like him. Also the snow is pretty impressive for the time. I am one of the rare people who like the Desmond stuff too. I like Desmond and the first civilization stuff. I wish there was more of that and they went deeper in the games with the real world outside the animus stuff.
Not unpopular at all. AC3 was the best sellin AC game ever, while AC4 had almost similar selling results. Do you know how the ''revolutionary'' and ''loved by everyone'' Odyssey did? It only sold just half of what AC3 did, and merely what AC3 had done in it's first months of release!!!
I love AC3 too, but I have an unpopular opinion about it. I didn't like the naval battles very much. That's why I wasn't very interested in AC4. They took the part of AC3 I liked the least and made it into the whole game.
@@edvance1030 I did not dislike them as much, it was something new in the game. But it did detract from the story, and was a rather not very Assassin part of it.
In my opinion, the issue with this installment (and the series overall) is the modern narrative. Desmond's story up through Revelations felt like it was building towards a modern day installment, where Desmond would get his due. My brother and I were so excited to debate having silenced pistols and hacking elements in a modern day AC. Then we get 3, Desmond's story suddenly ends, and the modern day story just feels like a second thoughts now.
AC3 was my first and only Assassin's Creed game. I started it, played maybe 5 hours and quit because of the exact issues you described. I was left thinking "THIS is the game everyone is raving about?"
Back when I played this, I pretty much hated it. After this I might give it another chance, but I have the OG 360 version. But this is an interesting era and they should do another Assassin´s Creed game about American civil war.
@@Lucas02000 Personally I consider them as half made AC games, as they lack the half that was the Modern Day. And AC4's ancestral story was a fine AC story, as it showed how a person outside of the Assassin-Templar war was entangled in it and eventually became a follower of the Creed. However AC Rogue was very rushed and poorly written, the game was made out of the remaining unused featured of AC3 (River Valley, North Atlantic and New York) and AC4's gameplay! It should have been released in 2015 or in 2016 with AC Unity (and not in 2014) with a deeper story and understanding of the Templar Ideology.
Origins was a good AC game. Great story, characters, and improved combat. Plus, it gives essential information in the founding of the precursors of the Assassin Brotherhood. The missing ring finger, the leap of faith, the Creed, etc.
Im replaying this game and honestly im loving it it was definitely overhated and gotta say after playing the first 4 games prior soo far AC 3 has the best combat , the stealth is fun, and the American Revolution is one of my favorite eras of history and above all and most importantly its fun to play through
Honestly, the main starting dude was interesting and likeable. They should have stuck with him because Conner was boring and easy to dislike. Once I took over Conner, I felt a lot of boredom throughout his story moments.
PeugeotRocket how old are you? Because I think you were probably in high school when the game originally came out. You probably didn’t play the homestead missions. Connor has so much personality in those.
@@simoneidson21 I was 26 when the game came out. I did play the homestead missions. I actually got 100% of the achievements as well. So spent plenty of time with Connor. He was bland and boring pretty much all around. The homestead missions did little to flesh him out. Sure, they expanded on his willingness to help out those in need which is a redeeming quality but quite frankly, just the minor side characters he interacted with were far more interesting than him. He just has such a negative attitude throughout the game. He is always angry or pouting about something. He can be a bit of an ass at times when other characters don't warrant such treatment and his treatment of Achilles just made me want to slap him in the face. The disrespect he showed toward the man who took him in, fed him, gave him room and board, educated him, and trained him as an assassin was absolutely abysmal. When he wasn't exhibiting the aforementioned negative character flaws, he was just boring and bland, like I said. Just do a search online and you'll find that one of the biggest criticisms levied against him is that he has no personality.
@@simoneidson21 Please ignore the lack of proper paragraphs in my last post. For some reason all the spaces were cut out and whenever I try to fix it, the changes aren't saved.
I respectfully disagree about the location being less exciting than other games. I had a blast exploring the frontier, seeing the beginning of now huge cities, and the snow really brought back some nostalgia of my winter camping trips whrn I lived in the north.
Had to show where the boring entered his bloodline. If everyone was Altair and Ezio all the way down how could you possibly get Desmond a man so bland people cheered when he was now dead and replaced by a faceless, voiceless corporate employee.
Played it on Wii U. It was my introduction into the series. I liked Rogue more than Black Flag. That game gave you all the gadgets from the beginning. Black Flag gave you rope darts at the end.
You are not. This along with AC Brotherhood and AC Revelations are the best storytelling ang gameplay of AC. But AC ended with AC3, because Ubisoft ruined everything after AC4, making AC4 only a nice Epiloge for Desmond's Saga.
AC1: "Cool game, can't wait for the sequel." AC2 part 1, 2 and 3: "Games dont get mich better than this!" AC3: "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ....what? Yeah I'm done with this series."
I actually 100% completed this game on the Xbox 360. And it was a pain to do especially the naval missions which pushed my frustration over the limit. There were times I wanted to pull my hair out, but after thousands of trials and errors, I finally did it. What an achievement. Never completed the Washington DLC though.
I honestly think this is my favorite AC game. It's the one I cared the most about while playing and I thought it was very interesting.... But it does really fall of a cliff at the end.
This game (original, not the remastered) will always have a special place in my heart. This was my first game into the entire Assassin's Creed series. I LOVE games that adopts historical events and twists them to a degree to be fun and exciting, while still being historically accurate (somewhat). I still remember getting excited that I was learning about American history through a game, while coincidentally, the history subject in my Highschool was starting to get into the same topic too ! Aaaaaand then I was immediately disappointed, because the school subject didn't get into American history that much (I'm from SEA. Schools don't teach other country's history as deep as their own) I love how the game has these landmarks, character histories, and other historical pieces that makes the entire thing deeper, more complete, and historically accurate. All the pain of playing it in a crappy laptop with less than 40fps makes everything worth it
I love AC3 probably the second most. Idk why I just love the revolutionary war era and Connor as a Native American assassin is pretty cool. A lot of people gave him flak for being too serious all the time, but that’s what I loved about him. Plus playing as Desmond one last time is nice.
@@MisterK9739 I stand by what I said. Sure Edward's story was good. But when you focus on the assassins, it just became generic "you are a bad person" then becoming a better person. Also the out of animus sections were garabage. There was no character in those sections I liked, or cared about. The writing for those sections are either cringy or boring Couldn't say much about Origins story. Only played 8 hours of it and returned it. But from my experience, the main mission's story is good. But the structure ruins it for me. Having to do so many boring side missions just to do the next main mission. There are some good missions like exploring the pyramids, but there are way more boring ones like following a person while they talk to you, or listen to a person talk then fight enemies at the end of the mission. Again, I think I would probably like the story of Origins. But I hate how the structure pushes you to fast forward the process buy the microtranctions. But this is from 8 hours of game play so take it with a grain of salt. I just know that when I bought, I thought to myself "As soon as I feel like buying the microtransactions to fast forward the process, I'm gonna return it"
Kevin Vo Well, your arguments make zero sense because the same structure has been there for every AC but ok. Follow people, fight people, defend people, kill people. That's literally in every single game. Also, the game never forces you to buy anything. If you want to rush through the main story and ignore 50% of the game, you shouldn't be surprised that this was not intended
@@MisterK9739 it does because the main missions are levels apart. Having one mission be lv5, then the one aftee be lv 10. Yes you don't have to buy the microtransactions. But with how long it takes to level up, it really does heavily encourage you to try and buy them. Also the arguement of "that's been in every game" still doesn't excuse it for being bad. The main missions have a little lee way because the story is more interesting. I say a little because it is still boring to do. But constantly doing it in side missions with no good story to back it up really does drag on. It emphasizes how tediois and samey the side missions are Plus the main missions structure is more follow a guy, then climb around the environment to go to the objective, then maybe fight a guy Honestly if Ubisoft wants to make a better game, they would try to make a smaller world with less side missions. I know that sounds worse, but that means they are able to focus on the smaller details. Great side missions that feel different and are interesting. Environments that can be easily memorized and don't require you to look at the map constantly. But requires you to know the layout and expects you to navigate through it on your own. If they would make a smaller game, then they wouldn't have to copy and paste so many side missions. Or put in trailing missions Well that and a climbing system that isn't just uncharted but you can't jump. God I hope the new movement system is more like mirror's edge but with a grasp mechanic
Putting this on in the background, I hear at 18:05 "A white robe with a hood is still a white robe with a hood." Damn... helluva thing to hear out-of-context.
Nah, that was when Assassin's Creed Origins came out, and Assassin's Creed Origins had a side quest that unlocked FFXV gear in Assassin's Creed Origins. One thing why AC 3 DLC was awesome and still didnt feel bad with all the magic powers is that it was clear that it was some kind of alternative history... while in modern assassins creed games it is more or less presented as something historical...
Mister K I get opinions. People liking Unity for ANY reason seems like insanity to me. There isn't 1 thing Unity does right or better than any other AC title.
Rares Macovei Well, the world was beautiful and the parkour was amazing. And at least the combat wasn't as boring and piss-easy anymore. Srsly, AC2 had better combat than everything after that until Origins. That is just sad. They had such solid mechanics and ruined it with "killstreaks" and bs

I'm not bored , I appreciate ur view
Great commentary.
As someone who gets into the roleplay of the characters in games, Washington's betrayal of the Connor's nation made me feel it right to drop the Assassin's uniforms and go back to buckskins. Adherence to ideologies of colonists led to the loss of their home and that couldn't be reconciled.
Very interesting my view same as yours
Agreed
The huge problem with the remaster for me was that after the story there were no more redcoats in new york it got boring with the bluecoats
@@Niater8106 yeah I liked ambushing the British better than the colonial army lol

So agree. It had it flaws but I think its a decent game in its own rights.
At least the ending of AC3 gives us a sense of finality. At least Desmond's story is over and they did not ruin it with their post AC3 bullshit. AC4 was amazing and AC Unity was beutiful but half made, however the Modern Day story did not go anywhere
Paul Mayson modern day hasn’t really gone anywhere since Ac3 sadly

I might be one of the only people who actually likes Desmond and misses his presence in the narrative. I miss his conversations with Shaun and Rebecca, and honestly he gave the Templar plot focus. Since his departure we get all the past action without any real reference to how the present is being affected. Anybody remember the Juno build up and then we never heard from her again? If you don’t read the extended lore you’d never know how that ended. I wish they would put more effort back into the modern day storyline, hopefully they do that with Layla moving forward.

And also, let's not forget, the side-quests were buggy as hell when it came out, some characters or items just wouldn't show up, or the game itself would refuse to acknowledge the progress of that side-quest, smh
I don’t remember this but I have ac3 here on my ps4 I’ll replay and understand what you mean
Completing AC3 Full Synch just for Altair's outfit is one of the most PTSD moments I've ever had in my life XD
I absolutely loved this game. Still do. I loved the fighting in this game. All those multikill opportunities were great. Loved using the tomahawk
I mean, I loved AC 3 personally. It was when the combat finally became fun.
yeah why you got a handgun and just use one buttom to kill every one
Doing sword combos, and then to turn around and blast someone with a gun was so satisfying. It was what got me through the first section of it back then, otherwise I would’ve dropped off earlier.
*like every other game
I mean I love ac3 too, it’s what started assassins creed for me, but the combat is too easy in ac3 and ac4, in games like ac revelations they have there similarities but at least there’s more buttons than B or circle to then just kill someone, trust me in older games it’s still pretty easy but the combat doesn’t bore me like those two games can cause it’s not constantly a cake walk.

If I'm completely honest, there are only 2 things I like from ACIII: The tomahawk, and Haytham Kenway.
Haytham is my favourite character of the series as a whole
Jacob Booker Haytham is my favorite Templar of the series, of course why not, he is charismatic as hell.
Apart from Ezio by default, my personal favorite Assassin is Bayek.
I also liked the ability to climb trees. But yeah. Just those 3
I remember picking fights with redcoats simply because the tomahawk was so much fun to use.
I'm a fan of Connors outfit i count that as something cool
I really miss how you could climb a lot of the trees in AC3 compared to the later games.
Also that dart rope tool to either hang people on trees or to pull them towards a bush you were hiding before assassinating them was fun I miss that tool.
I loved the fact you play as Haytham first, it makes the story feel like a big saga rather than an isolated adventure, and takes advantage of the genealogy aspect of the narrative with the animus

All in all I liked the game and loved the Story the more it progressed. The tie in chapter with AC Liberation was also great
Another Wii U trooper! I recently finished it myself, and on that same system, too. I had my fair share of fun with it, but it feels a little clunky in some aspects.

I was not an Assassin's Creed game as it fails virtually all the criteria written by the original creators of the series in the "10 Commandments of AC".
But it was better executed in Origins.
if only there was more native representation in games so you could rep a good game
What did you think about when Ratonhnhaké:ton said his birth name and game dismisses it like, “Oh nobody can say that lets call you Connor.” ?

I love assassins creed 3 probably an unpopular option but hey what up
Not unpopular at all.

I did not dislike them as much, it was something new in the game. But it did detract from the story, and was a rather not very Assassin part of it.
Its awesome
Easily my favorite ac game including black flag. It just felt nice to play during a time in history that I knew alot about.
It really bothers me for some reason that after Black Flag they stopped numbering the games, and this is from someone who's only played the first one
AC3 was my first and only Assassin's Creed game. I started it, played maybe 5 hours and quit because of the exact issues you described. I was left thinking "THIS is the game everyone is raving about?"

Personally I consider them as half made AC games, as they lack the half that was the Modern Day.

Schools don't teach other country's history as deep as their own)
I love how the game has these landmarks, character histories, and other historical pieces that makes the entire thing deeper, more complete, and historically accurate. All the pain of playing it in a crappy laptop with less than 40fps makes everything worth it
What's wrong with the remastered. I might buy it but everyone hates it.

Plus playing as Desmond one last time is nice.
This game was the last game to have a story about the creed that was actually good. Everything after that was iffy at best
Kevin Vo Black Flag was a masterpiece tho?
Kevin Vo Oh, and Origins
@@MisterK9739 I stand by what I said. Sure Edward's story was good. But when you focus on the assassins, it just became generic "you are a bad person" then becoming a better person. Also the out of animus sections were garabage. There was no character in those sections I liked, or cared about. The writing for those sections are either cringy or boring
Couldn't say much about Origins story.
It emphasizes how tediois and samey the side missions are
Plus the main missions structure is more follow a guy, then climb around the environment to go to the objective, then maybe fight a guy
Honestly if Ubisoft wants to make a better game, they would try to make a smaller world with less side missions. Or put in trailing missions
Well that and a climbing system that isn't just uncharted but you can't jump. God I hope the new movement system is more like mirror's edge but with a grasp mechanic
Putting this on in the background, I hear at 18:05
"A white robe with a hood is still a white robe with a hood."
Damn... helluva thing to hear out-of-context.
When this game came out ,final fantasy XV got free assassins creed DLC.
Nah, that was when Assassin's Creed Origins came out, and Assassin's Creed Origins had a side quest that unlocked FFXV gear in Assassin's Creed Origins.
This was made as a incentive to buy Assassin's Creed Odyssey's season pass. The season pass includes all of the extra downloadable stories for Odyssey, and Assassin's Creed 3 remastered as a separate stand-alone download. The season pass was $40.
[Not]MJJ1427 Thanks for the correction. When I got the Platinum in FFXV, Assassins Crees DLC was available. At that time Assassins Crees 3 HD had come out. So I thought they came out together.
The combat made me giddy in AC3. Its so fun, felt like a gawd lol
Bro how are you going to upload your completion of AC3 when I literally just 100% the same game 10 minutes ago😂 if this isn’t the weirdest coincidence I’ve ever seen😂😂
One thing why AC 3 DLC was awesome and still didnt feel bad with all the magic powers is that it was clear that it was some kind of alternative history... while in modern assassins creed games it is more or less presented as something historical...
Assassins creed 3 is the game that feels most like a chore, which is why it’s probably my least favorite
luissapicho More of a chore than Unity? Nonsense.
Rares Macovei opinions?
Mister K I get opinions. People liking Unity for ANY reason seems like insanity to me. There isn't 1 thing Unity does right or better than any other AC title.
Rares Macovei Well, the world was beautiful and the parkour was amazing.
And at least the combat wasn't as boring and piss-easy anymore.
Srsly, AC2 had better combat than everything after that until Origins. That is just sad. They had such solid mechanics and ruined it with "killstreaks" and bs
@@MisterK9739 World is pretty but way too cluttered on the ground. And it was that Battlefield 3/BC2 syndrome of everything looking like it's smeared with cement. As for the parkour ... animations were overly exagerated, more so than any other entry, to the point of ridiculousness and it felt really janky at all times.
I liked this game when it came out. One of the weirdest things that I remember is doing the homestead mission involving the couple
who want a child and you help them. I couldn't figure out how to do the missions cause they would just randomly show up; so
I did most of them at the end. Some being all the couples child missions. By doing that, the couple asked me to help them
get the wife pregnant, and help the wife deliver the baby in just 1-2 hours. Super weird.
