- This tip works on any Panther - Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Marauder, and Lincoln Town Car. How to open the trunk without a key and a dead/no battery.

You the man! Long live the PANTHER PLATFORM
Probably the most useful video I've watched to date
Many thanks good sir! I had tools locked in there i needed to get before junking it.
I unbolted the seat back and took it out to get in the trunk in the junkyard. Hood props make great trunk release pulls
Awesome video!!
I honestly thought u were gonna pull out a speaker and oull the glow in the dark thing lol good stuff bro nice content
use it as a personal storage locker! very smart
Great video
Take door panel off. Pur/yel is located on the trunk release switch. Black is ground. Done this countess times and found some good stuff.
Most P71s don't have trunk release buttons on the door (it was optional).
@@MarauderV8 Use dash trunk release switch. There are two connectors. One is key on, the other is always hot. Purple/yel should be there.
Will this work with a 1999 Buick LeSabre?
Nice advice... My 2004 Crown Victoria LX trunk release button stopped working... And my key will only go in half way! Most likely snd build up in the lock... As Sam Kinison used to say.... AAHHWW AAHH, You live in a F-ing Desert :)
long hood prop is what a friend uses to reach the glow in the dark tab. he straightens it out by finding a vehicle you can stick it in and bend it straight
Those dewalt and milwaukee batteries can start a car too
Wow that's great to know thanks! and i Subscribed!
Thanks, Bert; I appreciate the support!
subbbbbed
Thanks, LP!
@@MarauderV8 yw,neato way to pop a mgm/tc/cv trunk!
Thanks great hack! I’m always checking out what you have to say on Reddit which led me here. Just subscribed
Great video, I need to open a 2011 Crown Victoria police interceptor trunk in a junk yard it has two trunk buttons, one on the dash, and the other is at the lower driver door side, But i think the one in center console is always hot so I gess ill jump this one.
The one in the center console has two different connectors - one for when the car is running and one for always hot.
Do you think it would be the same colors of wire on a Lincoln Town Car I've got a 98.
I'm not sure, but you should be able to see the wire where it connects to the latching mechanism on the trunk lid. Take a peek in there and see if you see any colored wires (black will be ground).
Do you have to cut the whole bundle of whites or just the purple and black
You don't need to cut the whole bundle. I only did it because it's faster and easier to pull them out to show them for the video.
Does the wrecking yard charge you extra for the butchered wiring harness? 🤔
What? No. Have you even been to one? They don't follow you around and ding you for everything you do.
What if it's my daily driver
My husband got our child car seat locked in the trunk and I think it’s stuck it won’t open when I push the trunk button it makes a clicking but won’t open
Have someone pull up (gently) on the trunk lid while you push the trunk release button or you can do it at the trunk with the key. The latch might just be a little stuck.
My key broke and trunk pop button under radio does work help please 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
There are two plugs behind the trim panel for your trunk button. Pull the trim panel off and plug the button into the other pigtail. One works when the car is on and one works all the time.
@@MarauderV8 Thanks, the driver door module stopped working, (2007 Town Car), neither the key fob nor the inside keyed button works - the trunk is inaccessible...
@@MarauderV8 Thanks, is there a video for this?
I mean wires
Have you ever found a body?
No, lol. They go through the cars before putting them in the field, so I doubt they'd miss that.
Thank you! But now, please remove the video…
