I removed the unit last night on our 2003 MGM LS in less than 20 minutes after accessing. .But I removed the radio to access the BD from both sides. I used a mirror and a 12" pair of forceps a 1-1/2" piece of 1/8" gas line looped threw a 7mm-8mm ratchet wrench. Just open the forceps and push the hose on one tip then put the hose through the opposite end of the rachet and stick it on the other tip of the forceps and lock closed. Push-pull the forceps once attached to screws to loosen or tighten screws. To install screws put screw threw duct tape sticky side up in rachet then fold over. No dropping screws. This tool can access any hidden fastener as long as the rachet can fit on the screw. Just push pull 1 to multiple clicks of the rachet. No struggle trying to get your hand in there.

I know where your extension is. It's in the metal support running from the front metal support to the back (dash). you dropped it when you removed the bottom screw from the plastic air duct, it fell into the support.

Can you explain the o ring replacement? What was wrong with them? What do they do? How did you know you should replace them? Great video 👍🏾

When the orings Crack or dry up it causes the controls not to work. It works from a vacuum. So when the controls don't work it's bc of a vacuum problem. Orings is a good place to start

Step by step? How did you get that other front screw out?? I can't get a socket on it for the life of me. Even with the dash partially pulled out.

I think he forgot to hook up the blend door lever after he install the blend door activator. The blend activator moves the blend door leaver and he forgot to hook them together.
