@ 2:21 "...it has rivets in here... ...pop it out with a screwdriver" ...this type of rivet will come out a lot easier if you drive the pin out. All it takes is one good tap with a drift punch, although even small nailset will usually work.
Great Video, and yes! no need to pry on that thin little bracket-the pin expands the rivet and secures the connection, by pushing the pin with a pick or a screwdriver from the front it will free the rivet and theoretically can then be re-used for re-installation. If someone is going to pick-a part, attempt to recover the rivet out of the bracket, as well as the pin, so it can be re-assembled in the same way it came off.
we have the same van at work & the passenger's side fender got smashed in late one night when my over tired boss was driving. i need to replace the fender but how do i remove the place where the antenna mounts? it looks like some kind of special socket is required.

Thanks for the feedback. Greatly appreciated

Big help, thanks!
thank you for the video.
Great video! Very informative. Do you have a video or suggestion for installation? Rivets or bolts. Thank you!
Unfortunately I don't. I been considering doing a follow up video regarding the fenders for these vans

Does the door have to be removed to rivet the lower mount in place?
Good Morning, the door doesn't have to be removed from the vehicle at all
thanks. How about replacing the fender? Bolts are easy to put back but what about rivets?
Hey Donald, you would have get new rivets for it
I had to replace my fender yesterday. To put the new one on. Drill out the rivet, replace it with a small bolt, then put a nut on the backside.
Thanks. I was thinking that.@@thegreataepshow4311
