Do you install the o rings? If so what size? I found a new adapter but the fluid isn't making it into the pump when I turn the wheel it squirts out. Thank you so much sir
Unfortunately I don't remember the size of the o-ring that our cars take. I would have to check my repair manual and let you know
Can i by pass the powersteering pipe adapter?
I don't think that you'll be able to bypass that adapter on it. I know that your can't buy that piece new. You'll have to source one at a junkyard or ebay
Just dropped my tank.. mofo was full 🤣 Was able to siphon fuel when I freed the filler neck. Took out about 13 gallons. Gave 10 to my sister 🤣 For the wrong tool and it’s too bulky. Will attempt again tomorrow
The tank on these generation of Suburban's had one of the biggest awkward sized tanks on a suv. Especially if it's full that tank is hella heavy 🤣🤣 . But I don't have no regrets at all about cutting my floor on mine. I can still load things in it like normal and most importantly I know have no gas smells coming inside of it.
I’m 19, my dad got me a 07 Rx for my first car when I was 17. It’s amazing and it’s at 150k+ miles. Tbh though, I need something just a bit newer since I’ve been driving mine so much due to it being a Salvage title, not that confident I’d be in good shape if I got hit going 50, had my engine smoking from a 2 hour drive going 90+ (since I’m in Texas). Still an AMAZING car, but I wanted something to look a bit newer and not outdated but still high quality and still luxury, and something that I can be confident to drive fast in, long distance and drive consistently. Def going to get a newer one in another year or so, good review, was worried about some features not being in this model.

Ain’t even show how to replace🤦🏽♂️
My apologies Ed. I'll do a make up video on how to do this repair
@ would be nice, thanks
Can't wait to tune up my 94 Cadillac deville

Right on
thank you man. much love in 2025
No problem at all. Happy Holidays to you and your family
Easy fix. Thank you much.
You're welcome. I'm glad that the video helped out.
💯
how did you remove the door ?
Hey Frank, If my memory serves me right. The doors are held in by the pins in the hinges
Don’t you have a video ??
@frankruggio5067 i will check and report back to you
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm taking it that the video helped out for you
Thanks for the instructional video. I have an '04 LS 430 and I have been wanting to change that darn melted button for years. I'll get it done asap, I already ordered the part. I appreciate how you eventually put the camera on what you were doing and showing us so we could see. That made up for you having to work and film at the same time. This must be replace trunk button month, because I have to also change the trunk release actuator and the release button on my Nissan Murano. I ordered those parts too.
Thank you for the feedback. Appreciate it greatly 🙏🏽
How many miles is it at now?
Hey Barney, I no longer have this car. But when I sold it it had 125,000 on the odometer
@@lawjo1978 you know someplace where I can find a clockspring for the 2013 model for cheap?
@barneystinson3358 Are you looking for the factory OEM or aftermarket?
@@lawjo1978 Anything, I just want it to work. I've lost the use of my cruise control, horn and all other buttons on the steering
@barneystinson3358 I would check out www.rockauto.com or www.ebay.com as they will have some pretty good prices for that part.
Thank you so much I used this video to do my 2011 ct200h all the way from Australia thank you
Thank you for the feedback. And all the way from Australia. I'm speechless
The bottoms line took a 5/8. What about the other line how does that come off?
Where are you trying to take the line off from?
Thanks for quick reply.I ended up taking the whole resivour. Everything is disconnected except the pressure line now. It's rusted and seized. Gonna try and put some heat to it, if that doesn't work imma need new lines.. any tips on dropping cradle
I was gonna cut it and buy a new line and put a pressure coupling but it doesn't look like there will be room
@jasoncovyeow3267 When you get ready to drop that cradle. Please, please have a jack, and of course jack stands. You will loosen up one side at a time while you have a jack for support. You'll take a bolt all the way out and screw it back 8 to 10 thread counts because you'll want to have the cradle in tact.
Sounds good
Thank you 💪🏾

Hey how’d that’d gasket that came with it work out for you?
Hey Gyro, It actually worked out good. The gasket seem to be made of good quality
@ Sweet thank you, won’t have to worry about ordering a separate one.
@gyro1009 Unless you have a specific brand that you prefer. Otherwise you'll be fine with the one they supply with the kit.
Love it Have one myself
One of the best luxury cars I've owned yet.
I sure wish you would have shown the pump install. When I put the pump in, I can't push it down hard enough to get the snap ring on as the gasket on the pump is keeping the pump too high above the tabs? Can't figure out how to push it down any more as the gasket is not pliable enough to squash down. Not sure if the gasket is supposed to be higher on the pump but it sure doesn't seem to go up higher??? Any suggestions appreciated???
Hey Codoug, Yeah that rubber gasket can be a pain sometimes. But what i use for the rubber O-ring is silicone grease as it will help significantly with the install. But one thing that's very important when doing this install is making sure that fuel pump is centered before putting the snap ring on to lock the pump
Actually found another video that showed fitting the gasket on the tank instead of on the pump and that was the key. Getting the compression ring on took quite a while to but eventually I got it all on and the tank back on. Quote I got was $850 and I could see why as it took much longer than I expected. This was my 3rd fuel pump installation and by far the most difficult one.
When I did the pump install on my Suburban. I had 42 gals of gas in it. And the pump had died out on it. So this was best option at the time. And it's been years later and I don't have not one regret at all
Actually where the pump goes it has like a lip where that gasket goes too. You can do it that way as well before you put the pump in.
To clarify how I did it, I installed the gasket on the lip on the tank and not on the pump. If I put the gasket on the pump and pushed it all the way up, you couldn't get the compression ring on.
Christmas is right around the corner. Could be something to nudge nudge the wife about.
I have a better idea for you. If you were to get video glasses. Then it would be like you're doing your videos from a POV stand point.
Hey James, Happy Thanksgiving to you if you celebrate. I'm gonna have to invest in some of those. Because I would definitely like to enhance my videos. Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it greatly....

Nice ride, but I’ve always disliked the way Lexus placed the gear lever at that angle. It just looks out of place.
I felt that they should've had the shifter mounted at the console. As opposed on the dashboard

S.0.S Hello friend ! I’m having intermittent power steering issues with my 1995 Cadillac DeVille. Replaced pump TWO times. & have had my front rack n pinin inspected but to no avail!!!! The problem has lessened since the new power steering pump was installed 11/19/24 . Loan me some advice// wisdom! Much support & love From NE Alabama.
Are you experiencing tight steering?
Yes , intermittent power loss but not a full on tug of war with the wheel. The problem isn’t cruzin around town but occurs like if you got to cut it to pull out the gas station. Or turnin at the stop sign while you sit aft idling for a second. All that being said , everything else under the hood is fine. Runs like cream, but this got my mechanic n me stuck on stuck. Loan me some thoughts friend!!
@RozzallinBrown-ol7kd You may have some air the lines and may have to bleed the steering system
I have a 94 deville do I have to use the powersteering adapter or can the hoses go strait unto the resevoir and pump?
@ordllacc4 your pressure line is gonna screw into your power steering pump and your return ( rubber hose) goes onto the reservoir
So what about the extra plug I'd have just hanging ? I thought about drilling into the new pump and putting in the old plugin that looks like some kind of vent.?
I wanted to see the new fuel pump and my old one has 2 electrical plugs and the new one only has 1 plug?? Not sure whether they gave me the wrong pump or if I need to do something else????
You have the convert over to the new plug on your truck. Much more reliable
The one plug setup is way better than the original 2 plug
So are you saying just rewire to the new plug and leave the extra plug alone?
@codoug777 Good Morning, currently it sounds like you have 3 plugs correct? One of the plugs has 3 wires and another has 2 wires. You connecting 5 wires into that one newer design plug. And once you're finished you will end up with that one plug and the other one is for the fuel pressure sensor. If you have any issues just shoot me an email to lawjo1978@gmail.com and I will provide a number and we can talk if need be. Thank you....
Thanks for the offer. I had 2 elec. plugs but the pump I ordered had only 1 plug with 4 wires. I ended up sending the single one back and getting one with 2 plugs like my original to be sure it would work. Note to others that u might wanna verify how many elec. Plugs you have before ordering as different pumps are sold for the same make and model with different plug configurations.
Good job. Thanks for your video, I have to replace my heater core in my 2006 Buick lacrosse you will save me a lot of money thank you
Hey Erick, Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad that my video will help you out with the repair
Whats that little wire for? And yes, same exact at my 62, and I'm sure 61 is the same.
It's a ground strap for the horn
I am looking for instructions how to disable Service Ride Control on 1993 Eldorado (Northstar equipped). Those instruction you're handling in your hands has everything BUT this. It has 93 Eldorado but *4.9L engine only*. and the rest are different models. any info here? Someone replaced struts probably but never get rid of the S-errors

Hey Mr. Dennis, Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it greatly. God bless you and your family 🙏🏽
Great video the only question I have is with the part you had to break to release the window for the regulator. Coult you if you still have the pieces kind of go over it again and show a little more of what you had to do...Mine is not separating and I'm afraid I'm going to break the glass...I was going to wait until the other regulator cam and then look at it but if you can help if would be great. Thank you.
Hey Jeff, Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate your feedback. However I no longer have the car anymore. I do remember that I used a flathead screwdriver and regular sized hammer to separate that tab that keeps the window in the regulator.
@@lawjo1978 ok thanks...i was just worried about the glass breaking but I'll give it a whack!! Lol!!
@JeffreyPlummer-m2f i remember when I did that repair. I was super scared that I was gonna break the window. But I didn't hit it real heavy when I was in the process to doing that separation
Mr Jones, I installed the new compressor and it worked but the next day it didn't want to turn on, checked connections to make sure it was not loose but still nothing. What could it be?
Hey Jorge, Did you check the fuse for the compressor?
@lawjo1978 I did and it's good, I even put a new one
@jorgemartinez1538 Did you check to see if your leveling sensor needs adjusting. It's on the left wheel rear control arm.
@@lawjo1978 I will check it, to see if it didn't get loose
@jorgemartinez1538 Keep in updated. We'll figure it out
About to do this on a 2008 Kia sportage, looks like its put together exactly the same. More curious if you had the same issues as me- headlights won't come on, but everything else works fine, including dash light, tail lights and turn signals. Only the headlights wouldn't come on. Any time I turn them "on" I just get the high beam symbol on my dash. Does this sound like what you dealt with?
Have you checked your fuses and/or relays for your headlights? If not I would check those first. But if you have checked those already. The install will be very similar to this vehicle
@lawjo1978 fuses and such are all good. Appreciate the advice though!!!
broke novice here, this is real tempting.
If you go with this method. Just be. Very careful with making the cut in the panel and keep sparks to a total minimum. 30-45 mins to change a fuel pump as opposed to hours long doing this. Give me an access panel
33 dollars and change at napa
