I have a young relative who when she was in middle school boys considered her as OK looking but with high school boys it is like a teenage version of Zoe Saldana or Scarlett Johasson walked in the room. In all honesty When a guys initially sees you he puts you into three categories: Wifey, Smashable, or Issa No (Pass). If you, nor the guy are talking to are celibate or practicing abstinence you'll never quite know if a guys likes and is feeling you until AFTER sex. I'm not saying sleep around and have sex with every guy you date, but being aware of this fact will allow you to better decide if this is a guy you want to deal with and the overall reality of dating. The reality is that a guy might not be straightforward about his intentions or simply pretend he wants more than sex so that you can get comfortable enough with him. Keep in mind that guys don't necessarily need to like you to be down to have sex with you. He might like you enough to smash, but not enough to the point where he sees you as wifey and envisions himself in a relationship with you. The truth is that to really know a man is interested in you the two of you would have already gotten physical in some aspect. If he continue to hangout with you after smashing and initiates other dates and plans that are non sexual then more than likely he's really feeling you and it's only a matter of time till y'all become official. It's true that if you make guys wait they'll be less of them that are down to do that, but the other side to that is some guys will wait with you until you're comfortable enough while they continue to deal with other girls. The solution at the end of the day is to either remain celibate or straight up understand that you're choosing to smash a guy because you genuinely want to without the thinking that he'll leave you or with the thought that you're trying to keep him. Don't let a guy pressure you into sex if you're not in a space where you're bout that life. If you didn't want to, but then he leaves or changes up you may end up feeling quite.

This has got to be one of the best videos on this topic and I think it was meant for me to see it. My shy guy is definitely doing nice things when needed and the avoidance thing too. He would always greet me with a "Good Morning" when I came in to work in the morning. I thought it was too sweet. Recently, I noticed he would walk quickly past me in the hallway at work to avoid having a conversation with me. At first I thought I was just seeing things but I've watched him from afar and this isn't a natural pace for him. And it's also not how he interacts with other coworkers. To make him more comfortable, I've tried to appear more enthusiastic when he greets me or at least converse with him but it seems to have made him even more nervous and awkward. As far as this week, now he hasn't even said a word to me. I've had a crush on this guy for almost two years. He seemed really shy and awkward but also really sweet. I'm pretty shy myself and i suffer from social anxiety so i never went out of my way to talk to him (plus when I first met him I was 16 but i looked 12 and he was 19 so i though it might be wierd.) The other day i was visiting the church/congregation he goes to and he got called to answer a question and read a few verses. He was struggling and his voice sounded like a kid. I was not expecting that at all but i could empathize with him because as a shy person i've experienced similar situations. After that day i almost wrote him off because at that point i thought he was too shy and awkward for me. If they are interested in you approach them or at least show them you are interested. According to how shy he is, he may either reciprocate feelings for you or act like he's not interested but will continue to show signs of interest and may get comfortable with you after some time. Show interest and give him some time to get comfortable with you. Some guys may get comfortable with you at a quicker pace than others.

Give him some space to get comfortable with you. The more comfortable he gets he will open up to you. Just don't let him see you flirting with another guy, he may take it as you are not interested in him. You can even try complimenting him, that could help.

Also being called creepy can go both ways and be just as hurtful! For example I got called creepy by a guy who I called at work because I got worried about him. We had planned to meet up the next day when suddenly wasn't able to reach him because his phone broke and I had no other way to contact him. He never told me exactly where he worked except for a café in the airport so it was pretty easy to find out the number and call him. On one end I can understand why someone might find that creepy but I was only worried about him. I was so worried something might of happened to him and just wanted to know he was alright. I just cared about him and it hurt so much he took me caring as being creepy :( We still stayed friends for a while afterwards and met up a couple times but it still hurt me that he said that and made me not want to spend as much time with him anymore.

Kev, the behaviours you describe in the 6th sign are behaviours I consider to be odd. A man’s odd behaviours do not scare me. My definition of creepy is different. Creepy men are the men who have stalked me when I am out in public. They follow me wherever I am going in a stealthy-like manner. They look at me in a highly sexual but scary way with scary facial expressions, and they either try to touch me or actually touch me inappropriately even though we are complete strangers to one another. Their facial expressions and behaviours suggest they intend to rape me. They scare me. I run away from them or give them the slip in a crowd. This is why I always stay near crowds of people. All men are not creepy. The men who act this way are creepy and scary. I suspect other women may agree with my definition, as they probably had similar experiences.

Thanks for this video! My crush is a coworker and he is a mix of shy, quiet, and reserved so they can be difficult to read. Shy guys can come off being disinterested or even just polite even if they are interested, so we have to be extra patient with them (within reason of course) but boy, can they stare (and also hold a stare). My guy oddly now gets a little loud/excited and more talkative if I'm around. Sometimes if he sees me, he'll yell out a greeting across the distance. He can come off as braggadocios for somebody who is otherwise a shadow of a ghost and who mostly just quietly nods/smiles at people in passing. I've also noticed that if he's in a conversation and if I'm in the vicinity (or even just being a third-wheel in the conversation), he'll look at me while talking as if responding to me. Lately, I've caught him lingering/hovering if I'm with him -- either if our conversation comes to an end and I'm anticipating him to say "see ya", instead he'll just linger unless I say something first, lol. Or if he sees me, he'll linger for me to get closer so he can start a conversation. Is he just being polite/friendly or does it show romantic interest?

I know a guy at church who is a lector (reader) like me. I didn't know him as well then, but I know him now to be on the shy side. He complimented me on how I did my reading, and lately he did something he NEVER did before. He sent me a personal e-mail about how the last reading I did really moved him at the last mass. I told him thank you, and that I appreciated it. Never got an e-mail from him before. He does hug me when I see him, and that has to be huge for someone like him. I will be honest, with the danity thing, that's so accurate. When I see this guy and he doesn't know I'm there, he's super alpha male, posture strong and confident. When he finally sees me his entire persona changes. Hunched over. Quiet and stuttering even though he isn't even talking to me but around me. This has got to be one of the best videos on this topic and I think it was meant for me to see it. My shy guy is definitely doing nice things when needed and the avoidance thing too.
He would always greet me with a "Good Morning" when I came in to work in the morning. I thought it was too sweet.
Recently, I noticed he would walk quickly past me in the hallway at work to avoid having a conversation with me. At first I thought I was just seeing things but I've watched him from afar and this isn't a natural pace for him. And it's also not how he interacts with other coworkers.
To make him more comfortable, I've tried to appear more enthusiastic when he greets me or at least converse with him but it seems to have made him even more nervous and awkward.
As far as this week, now he hasn't even said a word to me. I'm trying to debate if I should approach him the next time I run into him alone and ask if I've done anything to offend him, but I'm not even sure if that's the right thing to do. 🤔🤔

I've had a crush on this guy for almost two years. He seemed really shy and awkward but also really sweet. I'm pretty shy myself and i suffer from social anxiety so i never went out of my way to talk to him (plus when I first met him I was 16 but i looked 12 and he was 19 so i though it might be wierd.) The other day i was visiting the church/congregation he goes to and he got called to answer a question and read a few verses. He was struggling and his voice sounded like a kid. I was not expecting that at all but i could empathize with him because as a shy person i've experienced similar situations. After that day i almost wrote him off because at that point i thought he was too shy and awkward for me. I'm typically drawn to men with deeper voices and have the confidence to read and talk in front of people. However, after watching this video i think i'll give him a shot. I'm sure he has a great personality and is an interesting guy and i really want to see that side of him.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I think he likes me back. He does all those shy guy things around me and I've caught him staring a couple times. He could just be like that around all girls though.

According to how shy he is, he may either reciprocate feelings for you or act like he's not interested but will continue to show signs of interest and may get comfortable with you after some time. Show interest and give him some time to get comfortable with you. Some guys may get comfortable with you at a quicker pace than others.

@@Sophie-bc7hv just give them some time to get comfortable with you. If he smiles at you he's definitely interested. I experienced the same thing. He smiled at me without direct eye contact. Give him some space to get comfortable with you. The more comfortable he gets he will open up to you. Just don't let him see you flirting with another guy, he may take it as you are not interested in him. You can even try complimenting him, that could help.

Also being called creepy can go both ways and be just as hurtful! For example I got called creepy by a guy who I called at work because I got worried about him. We had planned to meet up the next day when suddenly wasn't able to reach him because his phone broke and I had no other way to contact him. He never told me exactly where he worked except for a café in the airport so it was pretty easy to find out the number and call him. On one end I can understand why someone might find that creepy but I was only worried about him. I was so worried something might of happened to him and just wanted to know he was alright. I just cared about him and it hurt so much he took me caring as being creepy :(
We still stayed friends for a while afterwards and met up a couple times but it still hurt me that he said that and made me not want to spend as much time with him anymore.
I will definitely keep that in mind: don’t call him at work unless he asks me to. I’m learning new dating techniques and it’s so exciting from trying to do it my own way! Very sensible and helpful.

This was better than I expected. I subscribed lol I'm the kind of person who thinks I can read others well lol. Went off on vacation recently and there was this guy that always wanted to be the center of attention. We were on the same team for this camp thing and he completely blew me off, ignored me when I tried to answer his questions. I just thought he was a douche. Kev, the behaviours you describe in the 6th sign are behaviours I consider to be odd. A man’s odd behaviours do not scare me. My definition of creepy is different. Creepy men are the men who have stalked me when I am out in public. They follow me wherever I am going in a stealthy-like manner. They look at me in a highly sexual but scary way with scary facial expressions, and they either try to touch me or actually touch me inappropriately even though we are complete strangers to one another. Their facial expressions and behaviours suggest they intend to rape me. They scare me. I run away from them or give them the slip in a crowd. This is why I always stay near crowds of people. All men are not creepy. The men who act this way are creepy and scary. I suspect other women may agree with my definition, as they probably had similar experiences.

Omg my crush does all off these , like for instance he turns up places at the same time , always looks at me when I’m not looking and turns away, sometimes stares and smiles and waves , then the next day or so pretend I’m not there but he always looks uncomfortable. Shy guys can come off being disinterested or even just polite even if they are interested, so we have to be extra patient with them (within reason of course) but boy, can they stare (and also hold a stare).
My guy oddly now gets a little loud/excited and more talkative if I'm around. Sometimes if he sees me, he'll yell out a greeting across the distance. He can come off as braggadocios for somebody who is otherwise a shadow of a ghost and who mostly just quietly nods/smiles at people in passing. I've also noticed that if he's in a conversation and if I'm in the vicinity (or even just being a third-wheel in the conversation), he'll look at me while talking as if responding to me. Lately, I've caught him lingering/hovering if I'm with him -- either if our conversation comes to an end and I'm anticipating him to say "see ya", instead he'll just linger unless I say something first, lol. Or if he sees me, he'll linger for me to get closer so he can start a conversation. Is he just being polite/friendly or does it show romantic interest?
