I am so grateful and proud of SZA. industry stuff can be messy and prone to logistical drama, yet she still has managed to work through it and bless us with her music.
"SOS" isn't quite as consistent and felt more bloated than "CTRL" was but I still thought it was a really good album. It's a bit of a shame that this could possibly be SZA's last album cause the woman is so talented. Strong *8/10*

more examples of rca fumbling: young nudy. he’s had so many big looks with 21, dreamville & pierre, and judging online he has a very solid core fanbase, but my god rca has not done a whole lot to elevate his career
I absolutely love slimerre and Nudy Land but i legit did not even hear about the 2 albums he dropped this year

My Opinion:
SOS by SZA
VERY Strong 8/10
Best Songs: Good Days, Nobody Gets Me, F2F (Who knew SZA could make rock?), Ghost In The Machine, Gone Girl, Love Language, Too Late, Snooze, Shirt
Worst Song: Smoking On My Ex Pack (Pretty grating chipmunk sample and bad bass mixing)
Disagree with the worst songs. They are both specific to the type of music. It’s more hip/hop rap aspects that many rappers use for their tracks. Nonetheless she killed every track
Most SZA fans I've met are chill so I really hope they don't come out here blasting you or touting this as a 10/10 masterpiece.
Remember kids: liking a song because it's fun or makes you feel something is good, but it's not what a critic is here to analyze.
I'm with you personally. This feels like an 8/10 album in SZAs head that the label muddied and turned into a 6/10. There's great and interesting ideas, but it just does not work together for me. The peaks are there, and they're great, but altogether, it just does not work.
I know it's been forever and we're starved to hear more from an amazing artist like SZA... but I hope people are able to clear their mind and give honest takes on this, good or bad.

I feel like there's a great albm hidden in good one
This album is really good and I enjoyed it, however, this album suffers from being bloated between 5-7 songs could be cut off this album, and I feel it would benefit from that.
Favourite songs: Good Days, Ghost in the Machine ft Phoebe Bridgers, Nobody Gets Me, Gone Girl, Low, Seek & Destroy, Open Arms ft Travis Scott, I Hate U
Least Favourites: Conceited and Blind
Critics say it has too many songs and Silk Sonic has too few. Is it a quality product? What is a good number? Ten very good songs is better than 20 mixed great, good and mid songs.

Silk Sonic only has 8 (excluding the intro) which is understandable that people say it's too short

SZA IS THE MOMENT. And I'm so here for it. She's no ordinary girl, and this is another masterwork. 2022 was a blockbuster year for music.

Yeah I’d say this has been a fairly divisive album and I would say as a big big SZA fan I agree with you. This album was somewhat disappointing for me.
