Awesome video and some beautiful 1911s. I went with Les Bear for my very first hand built 1911 because of your very well explained videos on the Lea Bear hand gun, so thank you for that . My first 1911 was purchase 1988 so I have had a lot of them through the years. I can definitely see the difference ,Its just amazing 1911. I'm going to have to work out with some weights in order to pull the slid back! LOL. People, BERETTA9mmUSA is spot on with this video and they know what they are talking about. My Les Baer Thunder Ranch serial number is just shy of 1200. I've put a lot of rounds through it and have never had any issues.

Last week I won a Les Baer TDP. Called Les, made in June 1997. Made only a handful with aluminum frame. Ordered a Southern Trapped holster just for it. Pistol looks damn near unfired. They couldn’t tell me what it cost 26 years ago because they where never for sale.
If my memory is correct most Les Baer 1911’s went for about $1,500 to $1,700
Way back then. This is a great story & I want to thank-you for sharing it with all of us. Make sure you take your Les Baer 1911 out a couple times a year. These pistols should be enjoyed by the owner.

This is our 2nd Top 5 Les Baer 1911 Video in 2023 and most likely our last group Les Baer 1911 Video. I think we covered all the important information and it was our pleasure to give our personal feedback to our Subscribers.
Bottom line, Les Baer makes a great 1911. Stay with the 5 inch Government size in 45ACP, 10MM, or 9mm, the full-size 1911 pistols run the best in our experience. Either way, enjoy a Les Baer 1911 if you get the opportunity.

Those Hemi models are gorgeous. I doubt another LB is on the radar for me, as the Premier II 1.5 guar is my most accurate handgun (and most expensive, although I got it at less than half what you quoted) & it always gets taken to the range. Amazing firearm.

As you may know, we have been kicked out as customers from Cabot & ACW Arms. We are no longer allowed to buy anything from them according to Nick from Cabot.
So, If we actually wanted to buy something from them in 2023, we would not be allowed to do so. This happened after YB said on his own channel, he no longer recommended their pistols in 2022. This was after almost a 3 year relationship with ACW & Cabot Arms.
We had lots of interactions with their staff and lots of issues or problems with their guns. We witnessed subpar treatment of possible customers and messed up orders for customers. We also experienced down right disrespectful treatment to their customers including ourselves.
Customer Service is a problem for Cabot & ACW Arms. Lastly, over a 3 year period we experienced their customer treatment from their employees. Cyber Bullying & Cyber Harassment is still playing a part to this date, July 22nd, 2023. Including their Goons that hunt down people who simply leave comments on our videos. That’s right they hunt down our Subscribers. All because YB put Not Recommended on some of his videos. On his channel. All of this is covered in detail in our Part 1 & Part 2 of our Custom 1911 Buyers Guide Videos. Check them out when you have 30 minutes to burn. Take care.

I bought 2 from Keith’s Sporting Goods in Oregon, and we purchased one or two on line, not sure if it was a specific site. I will leave that open to YB if he remembers more about the purchase.

I got my Premier II (1.5") many years ago, LB27XXX. The 50 yard sample target that came with it was center to center just over an inch. It was over an inch because there was a 'flyer', if you can call it that. The other rounds were grouped much tighter and under an inch. I was going to add only one modern pistol to my collection and done my research. I don't regret my choice for a moment. At 6'6", 240 lbs. there's no issue for concealed carry.
Yes they're tight, this LB came so tight I couldn't cycle it normally. I received a cut trying to cycle it. Before break-in I figured out that I had to grip the slide near the muzzle (I said near not over) and squeeze it downward to break it to operate the slide.

Hey guys, thank you once again again for sharing your collection. Not sure if we can get them here in Australia unless we order directly with a painful process of red tape and permission from our authorities. I know a couple of gun shops where I look at has Wilson's and one specifically says they can get Nighthawks. So again much appreciated along with great information.

@@BERETTA9mmUSA looking at Springfield Ronin whether target or operator or loaded 9mm would prefer Garrison if I can get one not sure on finish. Or thinking colt competition or gold cup trophy in Stainless 9mm or classic in 38 Super. I shot a couple of 9mm in CZ75 and Walter PPQ. The only real experience I've had with 1911s is a GSG 22 and Ruger22/45

How do you guy’s feel about Kimber .45 ACP 1911’s ??
Hi Mark! I own a couple Kimbers and I have had pretty good luck with them. My Son is not a fan of Kimber, and prefers Springfield Armory in the sub $1,500 category. If you go above $3,000 for a 1911 we prefer Les Baer or Wilson Combat, or Nighthawk. That is just our opinions from our collections.

how about "your life is worth Protecting".... Anyway, I have a SRP, DW Valor and Wilson CQB. Recently I acquired a Bul Armory Commander 45 to compare and it doesn't . The BA goes Bang but the fitment and quality is cheap when you compare with any of the above. Get rid of the rest. Keep the best. especially in this day and political culture..
