Mine also turned out to be like sweet scrambled egg :(
I’ve tried this now three times. The first time it came out too undercooked, meaning the egg was still raw. The second time I made sure it was mostly cooked so instead it turned into an odd sponge cake like texture. The third time I tried half and half only for the outside to be an odd texture and the inside barely passable. My microwave works just fine and I did cook in a ramekin. I’m a good cook and I enjoy cooking but I wanted to try something quick for dessert. Mug cakes CAN be good but in order for certain recipes to turn out good, it can’t be rushed. I believe this is one of them.

Just a bit of advice- after microwaving for 90 seconds, do NOT eat right away. Put the dessert in the frig for at least an hour, and it should taste more like a dessert. Also, when you are blending the ingrediants, you really have to take your time and make sure that you have stirred thoroughly-then stir it again right after you microwave, and before you put it in the frig. I did these extra steps, and my cheesecake tasted great!

This has to be the absolute worst keto desert ever. Was not ANYTHING remotely close to tasting like cheesecake. It was like eating a sweetened scrambled egg. Absolute waste of time and ingredients.

I was just going to comment this! I tried this recipe yesterday and threw away the entire thing. It was, like you said, like eating an omelette or scrambled egg.
I think they forgot to mention that the egg should be room temperature, if it is cold, it will scramble and taste very eggy. Leave the egg out for a few hours or stick in in a bowl of very warm water for a few minutes to bring it to room tempt.

Remove the yoke and see if that makes it less eggy taste and smell
Make it when the egg is room temperature, maybe that will help

I tried sour cream with another recipe because I didn't have cream cheese. It came out fine
What’s 3oz in table spoons?
1 oz = 2 tbs so 3 oz should be = 6 tbs
Maybe try this with egg whites only? I know you want the richness and fattyness of the yolk, but yolk will give you that eggy taste. Looks good otherwise!! .

Try almond flour and melted butter and put it on the bottom, but frankly this is good without it.
It does help with getting it not to be so mushy on the bottom.
So make one.
Do you buy low carb cookies? Just put one on top then cook. Take out cake and it is on the bottom..I think I will try buttering the sides, and sprinkle nuts on top. Wonder how it will work.
Meh. It was something different but I probably won't do it again. It was too eggy for cheesecake.
