Thanks for putting this on utube. Clough was a brilliant manager and a great player too. UK in the 70's was a dark, dingy shithole of a place. Growing up in those bleak times & watching him on tv, he was a bright light. Funny, extremely well educated & knew about football. He was passionate about the game. So what if he liked a drink or 8! Most of the UK self medicated back then. We had to, there was fuckall else...ah halcyon days.

Heading down to NF in March from Scotland. Been a boyhood dream since Trevor Francis dived onto a cement circle to clinch the European Cup. I will pay homage to the great man with a wee dram.

I was and am Man U fan, but I loved Forest because of Clough. Loved the players, too. Shilts, Burns and wee Archie. What a spine to the team.
Has any footballers legs moved as fast as Archie's in full flight?

Clough could talk a wall down into rubble. The man was ruthless.

This was the last time that a football club was run properly in terms of hiring the right personnel; funding them and leaving them to it.

Doesn't surprise me that Derby were crying foul in Italy, similar happened to Leeds and others, there was, and probably somewhat still is, a lot of corruption
