Hello John,
I've done a lot of work from pallet boards. And I always planned to make such a sofa set one day. But I didn't have time to do it. I love recycling. A patio cushion is $315. I think that seems a little high. You have created a beautiful outdoor furniture from pallets. Low cost. And a nice job with a large workforce. Pallet boards alone can damage many tools. It needs to be cleaned well. I know that I spent a lot of effort and time for this. :-) Thank you for sharing the details. Stay healthy and happy. see you buddy. Your friend Mehmet
Thanks Mehmet. Yeah the cushions might be a little high, not too sure. My wife picked them out and bought them, I just built the holders, haha. Have a good one!
Lucky you got some heavy duty pallets for the seating frame region. Its satisfying when bulk of the cost is on the cushions, and not on the actual frames itself.👍
Window suppliers, man. Haha. Thanks for watching!
Great job man, good idea to buy cushions firsta’. Those were some thick pallets
Thank you!
Yeah I think I grabbed most if not all of them from a window supplier. Makes sense that they’d need beefier pallets.
Hey, John, cheers from Brazil. You deserve a lot more subscribers. I'll subscribe right away. It's just a drop in the ocean, but I hope it helps you grow your channel. Take care and keep on crafting stuff!
Thank you!
great work on the furniture man, looks like its already transformed the area! I'd have done the same regarding designing around the cushions as I definitely wouldn't be making cushions haha.
Thanks!
Yeah I’ve done… one cushion so far, haha. Will have a couple more to do for my Camper project though.
Cool build dude.👌💯
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this! I think this setup will work out well for our place too. Time to start collecting the pallets!
Have fun!
Turned out brilliant buddy, amazing how good pallet timber comes up & best of all you’re enjoying your quality spare time outside 🤠🍻👍
Thank you! Yeah it is quite an enjoyable spot to be now!
Awesome work John, suits the space great and a job well done.
Thanks James!
Its crazy how much patio cousins are! The results look great. I like to use galvanized lag screws for my exterior leveling feet.
I might have to switch out a couple of the feet for those. There is a bit more slope in the patio than I’d anticipated and some of them didn’t quite cover it.
That's awesome l enjoyed watching nice sharing.💗💕
Thanks for checking it out!
Excellent finished product!
Thank you!
This turned out great! I have a ton of pallets and looking to do the same. Do you have plans or measurements for this project?
Thanks! I never got around to making plans for these. However the 3 seater is just over 6', the 2 seater over 4'. Basically i got the cushions in advance and based everything off those sizes.
Hi John, I bought pallets for like $5 bucks a piece to make pallet wood furniture, but the guy I was paying to do it bailed on me. So, now I’ve decided to try it for myself. Would you put the dimensions of the furniture in the comments?
I meant to go measure them earlier today but it slipped my mind. My recommendation would be to get the cushions you want to use first, and build to fit those.
For example, the cushions I bought were 24x24” so I built the 3 seater and 2 seater accordingly. I think the arm portions were 24” tall and 30-32 inches deep, with the seat bolted in halfway up.
But how will you collect more pallets without a truck now!?
Might be the topic of an upcoming video or 3.
Or Keith, lol
Sore Spot Mike.... Sore Spot :P
It's a shared pain. I have a whole trees worth of branches I can't take to the compost and a new tree I can't bring home.
HELLO FRIEND KASE HO AAP BHI AANA
Hello!
Interesting ideas but there's an issue here. The wood may be free but the machinery used to process it is advanced and expensive. Has anybody who wants to save money by making furniture out of pallet wood got a thicknesser?
Who said you needed a thicknesser? I used the thicknesser because I had one. You could do the same thing with a sanding block, if you even did it at all.
