This one is purely for a silly bit of fun, I was on the fence about uploading it to UA-cam since I'm sure there's like zero demand for this kind of random video, but honestly I had so much fun with it so no regrets!!

I hope that some day you make a full video about making your biblical angel headpieces, because they’re so fascinating, I’d love to hear how you make them, and Shorts can’t be saved to reference later and aren’t really a step-by-step descriptions of how it’s done. I’d love how you make those cool costume pieces! They’re truly art pieces, tbh.

It is a testament to your level of craft that you can take a simple premise and simple materials and then end up with something that would be at home in a Henson production, particularly Labyrinth or the Dark Crystal.
The dark crystal gave me nightmares as a kid- 😂😅

I propose the lore behind this costume being what the Skeksis looked like before they got corrupted by the Dark Crystal. Or alternatively, the profane Ascendant Skesis after truly harnessing the power of the Dark Crystal by consuming the life force of all the other Skeksis and Gelflings, if you want the idea where the prettiest Skesis is actually the most evil one.

i’ve used those clear baubles before! my preschool would let us pick out a few colors of paints to put in them and shake them wildly to make a wonderful multicolor bulb.

@@MissTwisteddd i will say that the paint starts to separate from the bulb after about a decade, but it still stays in about the same place. none of the bulbs have paint shreds, just air bubbles between the paint and the bulb

It's mostly just a funky name that has a nice ring to it! But I guess I always try and find a unique 'twist' to things to make them my own so I guess it kind of comes from that!

I, too, have an affinity for feathers and wings. This bird is...deliciously disturbing and I kinda want to make one for myself. Using the chunky yarn was brilliant; I'm going to borrow that technique to make "icicle feathers" for my winter fae. Honestly, you are SO inspiring.

This is so cool!!! Meme bird aside, the mechanics of the head makes it look so realistic. I mean, it's basically a cardboard bobblehead, but you'd never know from just looking at it. I was getting Big Bird vibes. This would be fun as a corvid, too.

Yeah! the string is just threaded through the cardboard right at the top then a bit of hot glue around that area to reinforce it!

Gonna do this! Can't get the bobbles as it's almost summer, but I have a small stress ball I can cut in half and paint. And I'll prolly just make the head and wear it as a mask! (Paint the cardboard, attach some white fur for lining at the edges, attach elastic, tada!)
Saaame, I also couldn’t stop thinking about those birds when I saw the videos. So much so I started imagining how to start making a suit for next (now this) year’s Halloween, but like most ideas, it was more likely I would have enjoyed the idea more than the following through

Fascinating! I was wondering what you used for the pivot point, but a bit of string/wire with balancing weights makes a ton of sense. The final product is shockingly good!

UA-cams been pushing shorts of this lady (in that owl costume) to my landing page for weeks. Today I finally cracked and clicked one............ Then another........... And then a couple full length videos. :D
As a British male who predominantly watches engineering related channels, it's seemed really odd that UA-cam would push a cosplay related channel's videos at me. But after watching a few, it now feels pretty creepy that the YT algorithm somehow knew that I'd actually enjoy watching this content........... I'm both impressed and concerned. 🙄
I suppose I really should subscribe now, but I'm worried that this would positively reinforce the algorithms knowledge of what makes me tick, and make it harder for me to outsmart our AI overlords when the robot uprising inevitably happens........... Ah, I think I'll risk it. 😁

Well that makes me incredibly happy to hear! Honestly I do quite enjoy figuring out moving parts and other technical sides of cosplay so I suppose it ties in a little there! (there is going to be some construction elements and electronics coming up in 2024 projects hopefully, to further lean into those elements!)
