The pins you were using for the beadwork looks like head pins. Im not completely knowledgeable in anything beads, but i know my mom uses them a lot when making earrings.
Hey sorry for not wrighting this in the general comments but just a tip for if you wanna make the eyes more unseteling try adding some red around the edges along with some veins. The costume looks great already this is just a little tip. Have a great day
I've started using Milanote for a project for supernova 25, Puck from Midsummers nights dream. I wondered if i might get some advice on faun legs or make up? 😅 or in general really, I've not done anything of this scale before. Thought I'd attempt but I'm wondering if any one would know it or if I could actually pull it off 😂 incredible by the way! I love your cosplays!
This is why every angel in the Bible said "be not afraid" when they appeared. Your first reaction if you saw that in the town square would be to scream. Kinda hilarious that never happened with devils. Demons are reflections of human sins, so they mostly look like us in the mythos. Whereas angels are so unimaginably other that they look like Lovecraftian horrors. To quote Zachariah in Supernatural "in my true form I have 6 wings and 4 faces, one of which is a lion."
The ones with a ton of eyes are called Ophanim (aka Wheels, Thrones, etc). They're supposed to be he chariot of god's throne. One of the highest orders of angels...
That's the one! eyes and wheels are ophanim, a bazillion wings are seraphim, and I know there's cherubim too with the multi-heads. My final design will take elements mostly from Ophanim and Seraphim combined.
Yeah the Ophanim are LIKE but not necessarily the wheels of the sapphire throne. The Cherubim are like the beasts of burden who pull it. The Seraphim circle the God, not just a mass of wings but also on fire like laterns. The Cherubim to me are the weirdest though. I don't even think it is the 5 faces of the Cherubim that make them weird, it is the fact that the way they move is pretty much described like a broken video game character. Stuck in T-pose save for their wings and just sliding across reality with no visible animation.
Well, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Ophanim and Seraphim inspired combination, AND I love that you admitted it was angel INSPIRED, so people can't complain it's not a fully "Biblically accurate angel" because you already said it isn't. :D :D :D Also, according to Judeo-Christian mythology/religion/etc. the actual Ophanim are not LIKE something, they ARE "the chariot of God's throne" plus they both know and understand "the will of God". Ophanim literally means "Wheels" not "wheel-like" ... but they do indeed appear only wheel-like, LOL! Just a bunch of wheels and eyes -- I love the idea of adding wings to that. :D
@ When I say "LIKE" wheels I specify "of the Sapphire throne" Describing their position and function. But keep in mind the thrones do more than move the Throne of god they are also messangers thus not entirely just a wheel. Everyone knows they are wheels within wheels covered in eyes.
@@Writh811 If you're saying "LIKE wheels" means "more than just wheels" then duh, I agree fully! LOL! Still lovin' the combination of wheels, eyes and wings for cosplay. :D
That was EXACTLY my inspiration for that concept! I love the idea of a source of light being a horrifying infection. (also goddamn I hope we get silksong this year)
@Isaac-hm6ih The Radiance is the main antagonist for a game called Hollow Knight, I definitely recommend checking it out as it has a lot of lore attached to it.
As soon I saw the reflective acetate feather prototype, I literally started saying, *out loud*, "Do the shiny one! Do the shiny one!" Needless to say I was NOT disappointed
Hahaha I literally was filming it and could feel my brain changing from "oh this is too extra.... okay maybe I'll put a few into the shoulders but not all... okay maybe I should just make them all that!=
The Angel taxonomy thing is honestly a complicated one, cause some are wild looking, like I’m pretty sure Thrones are the ones infamous for being like, eighty percent Fire, wheels and eyes by volume, but then you have Seraphim, the highest of the lot, who basically just are very bright and fiery, with six wings, albeit the weird bit for them is that it’s stated they cover their body with one set, their face with another, and fly with the third, so they use two sets as clothing basically, but then you have some who are just.. a normal person basically? The general theme is that it gets wilder as it goes up, because you don’t want the Angel whose goal is playing messenger to be utterly terrifying, although the big deal angels like the thrones occasionally show up when someone important needs a message or to be given a task, like some saint or prophet. The “Be Not Afraid” thing, if you ask me, is probably cause while the average Angel was a normal person with wings, the fact they probably from a distance would’ve looked like a faint glowing figure descending from on high.. for the average peasant in the classical to medieval period, that’d be pretty spooky. TL;DR, some angels were wild as heck, some were pretty tame, but the tame ones probably still had to calm down humans cause the average peasant of the day would’ve been easily spooked by a flying glowy thing.
crafting is supposed to be fun, and for your videos to be fun, you have to have fun! So who cares about cutting corners and lazy sewing, as long as it's FUN! :D
A broken PRESSER FOOT???!!! Now that is wild! I've never seen anyone break their presser foot before! All jokes aside, as someone who has made corsets before, pro safety tip, I suggest wearing goggles when getting close to bones, or super chonky seams if you think the needle is going to break. I've had a few close calls where the needle almost hit my eye, so I wear eye protection for those kinds of seams. With that said, the cosplay came out fantastic!
Haha good idea! I've started wearing my reading glasses when I sew (also because I should be wearing them anyway!) but I have safety glasses too I should use!
Man that little mini reveal was awesome. The only thing that make something like this better would be if the eyes moved around. Like hear me out on this. The pupils of some eyes contain a tiny motion sensor with facial recognition right, so you have this costume covered all over in eyes and only some of them staaaaaaaaare at people who look at you. You look at an angel cosplayer and like 12 different random eyes on the costume look straight into your soul and track you as the angel passes by. Even more creepy? Imagine you're watching a green eye nervously flit back and forth, this way and that. Then it stops. Looks straight ahead. Slowly rolls back and as it does a blue eye is revealed to be on the back and now the blue eye is looking around nervously.
Hahaha well great minds think alike! This is exactly my plan to impliment in the headpiece when I upgrade it! I've played with moving eyes in headpieces before but I think employing some servos and electronics to help me out will make a HUGE difference! I wasn't sure if I could make it work on the corset without ruining the comfort, but the headpiece will be the ultimate test run! (it does mean I have to learn to use electronics though and that's scary!
@MissTwisteddd okay, i was already looking forward to the final product reveal but you've got me gnashing at the bit to see how it turns out. I'm curious to know your thoughts about motion sensors and double sided eyes i mentioned.
@@glenngriffon8032 I love the idea! The double sided eye sounds AWESOME! I probably won't do either for this project. Only because they sound like they might be too advanced for someone allergic to computers/electronics. I might try that one for a future project!
I honestly cannot wait for how the finished product of this cosplay is going to turn out, even as a mockup / base design this looks marvelous. Happy to hear you had a good break from UA-cam, my god you deserved it. I love the maximalist look with everything you do, and it gives your characters so much detail that makes them that character, and this was no exception. The wing details have to be my favorite. Incredible work!
Thank you so much! I'm really happy with it so far, and maxilmalist is definitely the vibe here! (then again now that you say that, I'm not sure I ever go for minimalist!)
Miss twisted, have you heard about chrome powder burnishing? It’s a powder you rub onto stuff to get a really nice chrome look, if you use hot glue to make drips you can then buff the powder into it to make a liquid gold drip look, you’d have to coat it with a top coat of some kind though
Oh my gosh I'm in love with them!!! I'm completely obsessed with the way the corset and feather pieces turned out, I can't wait to see how everything turns out.
what's next? burning bush? twigs and led lights and little motors moving silk flames? hehe, and then hide a big (enough) speaker somewhere for the booming voice
@MissTwisteddd the reveal of the finished piece could involve underlighting from a bonfire built to look like a bush, if you want a relatively easy way to involve literal fire.
Oh this is SO much fun! I followed you a few years back in the hopes that you’d one day do a tutorial for these headpieces, and I’ve loved watching all of your stuff. I’m so excited for the next video! I feel like it’s been years in the making now, hahaha.
Haha it was pretty good! The one here in Melbourne was better this year than last year (more variation instead of 50% dead bugs). So I'm going to try and go again this year too!
So glad you’re back! Your videos are always such a comfort to me. And today was really rough for me, so this definitely helped. Thanks for making my day a little brighter ☀️ Edit: I'm so glad you found Coolirpa's channel! I've been following her for many years and she's one of my favorite sewing creators. Also at 19:26 "these sort of wire sticks" are called headpins, I remember you using them for your vampire ballgown and I thought they were so cool
Headpins! That's the one! I had these ones leftover from the vampire ballgown but I had long ago removed the packaging so couldn't remember haha! I'm sorry you've had a rough day, but I'm glad the video gave you a reason to smile! Fingers crossed for brighter days ahead for you!
Hahaha Thank you! But I think hollywood would be very limited in what I'd be able to create! It would always be a very specific vision from a director or executive instead of being allowed my own creative freedom. But ohhh I wouldn't mind getting a proper salary!
I have been using the GIANT zip ties for nearly 40 years now... the beauty of them is if you use them in washable fabrics you can wash the entire thing...no rust or fuss..... I did an Elizabethan that way YEARS ago.... after destroying one made out of fancy fabrics.... Yeah rain, mud and horse sweat is NOT kind to garb made from fancy fabric
Ok, watching as you put this together, and explain your thought processes I am continually having to pick my jaw up from the floor. Hmmman "Eye" of Agamotto? Antiquing the wings? And it looks very good. You are probably going to do this anyway, but on your new headdress add in some mesh eyeholes so you can see without having to shift it or lift it off your eyes. Kind of like how John Wayne had in his eye patch for True Grit and Rooster Cogburn. He could see through the patch which helped his depth perception when riding his horse. I look forward to seeing your refinements.
This is so fun! Watching the process is fun, as is seeing how people make stunning cosplays! I LOVE the semi-final result and can't wait to see the rest of it be made!
Literally every time you post a new video, I realize just how much of your content I have passively consumed on reels or tiktoks in the past - while having no idea it was you. I'm glad to be here!
Love the thought process and amazing skills in your fantastic costumes and truly appreciate your hard work ! Blessings and best regards to you for the new year lovely young lady!
I LOVE seeing all the eyes on both the corset and the stand-in headpiece! Definitely the higher angel vibe! When I began watching the indie animation "Hazbin Hotel" with some of their angel character designs, I saw Ophanim-headed angels and the two Seraphim had eyes all over their wings when they transformed from their more 'human' form. I started buying books to study both the kinds of angels and demons our mythos and other cultures' mythos have in comparative religions.
I think one of my biggest reasons for procrastinating is not knowing how do something the 'correct' way. I started to improve and make things much faster and more creatively once I realised that no one is going to make me do it a certain way!
@@MissTwisteddd I forgot to mention how your makeup skills also impress me. As a regular man, I can't for the life of me begin to understand how much you can modify even your face structure that way. I'm totally flabbergasted sometimes.
Such a stunning build!! 💛💛 Definitely kept me company while I sew what feels like an endless bodysuit seam - I'm working on a sea monster Luca cosplay - took me the whole video to pin and sew half of it!!
It is wonderful to watch you work. You do such amazing things with so many materials. Thank you so much for sharing so much of the process and the reality of making.
Any synthetic fabric that melts in a flame can be cut with a chisel-tip wood burning tool (works better than a hot knife because the ticker tip produces more heat and melts a more continuous edge;the heat knife I tried only melted some of the edge and other parts frayed). I use a large piece of heavy picture frame glass as my cutting surface (clean with a razor blade) abs a metal yard stick for my straight edge (you want something thick so you don't jump the edge and burn the ruler or other side of the fabric). I cut a boatload of different kinds of fabric strips this way for my Mistcloak. Take precautions with the fumes!
SO GORGEOUS!! I really admire your talent and vision and LOVE the idea of just going with the vibes 🥰 Also holy cow- 37+ minutes was not long enough! 🤣 your videos are so immersive I get sucked in and I’m like “yassss more gold!” ❤❤❤
hahaha yesss! I love to hear it. Next to the whole harpy/bird thing, the biblically accurate angels are definitely a favourite of mine. I think you'll really love the next few videos when I do the wings and the headpiece!
Hi there! quick little tip from a seamstress. A reaaaally nifty tool for hems with a very light weight is a hemming foot (also called a hem roller foot, i think?). While the binding works great, i find it gives too much stiffness to the hem when using a light, flowy, vapory (is that a word?) fabric and you want to keep that movement in it. Doing a turn and turn hem keeps that flowyness but is an absolute NIGHTMARE to pin and sew in those kinds of fabric, hence the roller/hem foot. you don't need to pin it, and it allows you to make some very narrow hems that are just great for that kind of very light fabric (like voile, chiffon, satin, you know all those really light, shifty and slidey fabrics that just WON'T SIT STILL!!!!! XD) If you do end up working a lot with those fabrics, it's a worthy investement. (sorry for the wall of text anxiety makes me over-explain everything because i'm worried about you thinking i'm criticizing ^^;. i really just want to share something that really helped me and hopefully might help you too)
That's a really good idea! I've done hems on chiffon before using a banrol method but using a foot like that would make it even easier!. I'm only just discovering the joys of different sewing feet and their different uses!
What a dope angle cosplay! Your attention to detail always amazes me. I love the gold feathers you already have on the shoulders and hips. But If you ever wanted to add an additional aspect heres an idea; what if you created four wings that could fold and extend and on each wing has eyes that could blink. I know you’ve made wings in the past and blinking eyes mechanics. And combining the two with this cosplay I thought would look so cool. Just a thought that popped in my brain.
@ Even better! 8 wings wow very ambitious! The way you do wings they’ll look majestic no doubt. And making that fabulous head piece even more unique. I can’t wait to see that!
Absolutely gorgeous project! I can’t wait to see more projects from you this year! You’re very inspirational for me to continue my creative hobbies, whether it be sewing, drawing or writing 😊 I know you mentioned “flaws” often, but I see them as making the costume much more organic and gives it that special something for the character. ❤ I do follow Bob Ross’ mantra of “They’re not mistakes but happy accidents”. You’re doing great with how you do things! Keep doing what is best for you! I know I get exceptionally lazy and impatient too with my projects so you’re not alone there 😂
This looks amazing! You kept saying how crappy & snapdash it is, but it looks super cool. As long as it's comfy, functional, and looks good that what matters. I'm glad this filled your need of creative chaos. ❤
Haha I don't think anything is truly illegal, I use that term just to be silly. But I think some techniques are better to use. Example- finishing your hems so that no raw edges are visible is the 'correct' way because it means the garment will last longer and look nicer, and won't fray! I had a few unfinished seams and edges inside the dress I'll probably correct later to make sure it'll be durable. There's also more 'correct' ways to sew on bias binding. What I did is much faster but does leave more visible stitching and would be less neat. But ultimately I often opt for the easier/faster 'illegal' methods if I know I can fix it later or it won't be seen up close!
I had a random practicality thought: what about adding hidden pockets on the inside of the hip panels? Anything put in them will just push them out more, which should have a bit of leeway for still having a suitable silhouette. I'm not sure where to put the access to the pockets: front, back, or top, but I think you could get quite a bit in there.
Random less-practical-but-more-inspiring thought... tiny directional speakers hidden at the extremities (wings, hem, maybe claw hand) and pointed outwards, playing creepy background music. Probably controlled from a phone kept in one of the aforementioned pockets. Bring your own twisted choir everywhere you go. I realise this would open you up to a gremlin infestation though.
Honestly I LOVE the pocket idea that's genius! I do like the speaker idea but I think I'll wait till the whole costume is done and see where I want everything!

So glad you’re back! Your videos are always such a comfort to me. And today was really rough for me, so this definitely helped. Thanks for making my day a little brighter ☀️
Edit: I'm so glad you found Coolirpa's channel!
IM OBSESSED WITH THESE
Woah, your hair is BRIGHT!!! ❤❤❤ you're an amazing artist, can't wait to see what else is in store for 2025!
Haha very bright! I filmed the intro right after going to the hairdresser so it was at it's brightest!
1:08 um, actually... I love the mimic you have...
Thank you! I made him too, his name is Fred!
Your hair is looking particularly vibrant today 😍
So satisfying watching everything come together like that. Why aren't you a costume designer for Hollywood!?
Hahaha Thank you! But I think hollywood would be very limited in what I'd be able to create! It would always be a very specific vision from a director or executive instead of being allowed my own creative freedom. But ohhh I wouldn't mind getting a proper salary!
@MissTwisteddd I dunno, I think they'd be crazy to try and limit your creativity and craft. Can't put @MissTwisteddd in a box. 😉
It's so shiny. Eager to see it progress!
3:27 - Your outfit compliments your hair SO MUCH! I dig your entire aesthetic!
I'm in New England (NE corner of the US). It's currently -13c. My bedroom is so cold! lol
Hearing about your summer made me a little jealous. 😂
Haha I wish we could just swap for a day to cool down/warm up!
You do amazing work , can't wait to see the next video ❤
Ficou maravilhoso!
(It was wonderful!)
Good choice with the corset - it’s important to avoid eye strain. 😂
Hahaha this is the best pun. I appreciate it!
i love it! it's amazing and i can't wait to see the finished design!
Thank you! I'm so excited and impatient to finish!
I missed your vids so much! ❤
Thank you for being here watching this one then! I was nervous about it after a couple of months break. I'll heave HEAPS this year!
I have been using the GIANT zip ties for nearly 40 years now... the beauty of them is if you use them in washable fabrics you can wash the entire thing...no rust or fuss..... I did an Elizabethan that way YEARS ago.... after destroying one made out of fancy fabrics.... Yeah rain, mud and horse sweat is NOT kind to garb made from fancy fabric
ooof it always hurts when you're dealing with the fancy fabrics!
Yeah that's a good idea regarding the eyes! Definitely going to be a big overhaul when I get to remaking that part!
I really appreciate that you put all the artist's names on the art you showcased. Thanks for that. Also, you do amazing work.
Angel Taxonomy implies things I am not ready to contemplate about before my coffee
I do love how this came out - I especially like the drippy gold makeup, I think it adds a really cool little touch. Looking forward to more!
Yeah I love using those! Will definitely include a quick tutorial on those in the headpiece video
Your cosplays are always so inspiring!! Its really cool to see you make all the little details like the eyes :))
Thank you so much!
This is so fun! Watching the process is fun, as is seeing how people make stunning cosplays! I LOVE the semi-final result and can't wait to see the rest of it be made!
This is SO cool, I love it!!! You're incredibly talented, thank you for sharing and I'm excited to see the next part of this project!
Literally every time you post a new video, I realize just how much of your content I have passively consumed on reels or tiktoks in the past - while having no idea it was you. I'm glad to be here!
Thank you! I appreciate your watching on any platform! 🥰
Love the thought process and amazing skills in your fantastic costumes and truly appreciate your hard work ! Blessings and best regards to you for the new year lovely young lady!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
You are so imaginative and talented. And you prove technical perfection is absolutely not needed to make the perfect cosplay
Great cosplay and another amazing video! Glad to see new things. 😊
I absolutely love it. Ophanim has always been a favourite and it was nice to see the OG headpiece
I'm so excited to see the finished look with the wings. i'm already obsessed with your wings, but _six?_ omg i can't wait. it's gonna be amazing
Hahaha, I ended up going for eight!! (I've started building the frames already!)
@@MissTwisteddd my dyslexia strikes again. that's even cooler. so stoked
Hi, Miss Twisteddd! You have great costumes good luck I hope to see more.🥰😘😍🫦👄👠♀️🌺🌹💐🌈🥳✨🎉🎂🎊🎈💞💕💘💝💖💓💋
I love thiiiiis!!! And the hip gathering is so cool! Now I want to add those to random projects haha
Ahh!
I missed you here :D ❤
Such a stunning build!! 💛💛 Definitely kept me company while I sew what feels like an endless bodysuit seam - I'm working on a sea monster Luca cosplay - took me the whole video to pin and sew half of it!!
Ooh bodysuits can be such a pain! But the Luca cosplay sounds amazing so I hope its worth the struggle!
It is wonderful to watch you work. You do such amazing things with so many materials. Thank you so much for sharing so much of the process and the reality of making.
Love it already! I enjoy watching your videos they make me want to get up and create so much stuff myself.
I absolutely LOVE this! Can't wait to see the next steps 😍
I love this so much! Despite it being like a biblically acurate angel it also has some egyptian goddess vibe? Maybe the shoulder pieces!
Yeah I think that plus the robey/toga white dress element!
I love the corset eyes!
I keep meaning to get one of those! I used to have one that just stopped working out of the blue haha
Hahaha last year I was trying to squeeze even more into those 40 minute videos! At least this one I'm splitting into a few different videos!
My fav cosplay youtber doing a full costume on my biggest hyperfixation, i just had a nerdgasm
hahaha yesss! I love to hear it. Next to the whole harpy/bird thing, the biblically accurate angels are definitely a favourite of mine. I think you'll really love the next few videos when I do the wings and the headpiece!
@MissTwisteddd for my last Ren fair I couldn't decide between a biblically accurate angel or a Harpy! I use one of your videos for my wing design!
Hi there! quick little tip from a seamstress.
Happy New Year! Always love your videos and projects! Superb work!
Lets go! Chaos Crafter’s back!
Starting the video now!! So excited
I never get tired of looking at this talented gorgeous woman.
"is Ugly as sins"... "and will be covered later on".
Who said Angels weren't hiding sins under all that "light"?
yay I can watch a video from you again I've waited so long for it and was wondering why nothing came but I'm so happy to see something again ❤❤❤
Just having a bit of a break from videos to catch up on some bits and pieces!
@MissTwisteddd I understand that everyone can use a break sometimes, so I hope you enjoy your break 🥰😉
@@alieM7457 it's a very cool idea! I'm doing eight wings for this one, I want to do blinking eyes but might leave that for the headpiece!
@ Even better! 8 wings wow very ambitious! The way you do wings they’ll look majestic no doubt. And making that fabulous head piece even more unique. I can’t wait to see that!
Stunning 🎉❤
This made me super happy as im putting the finishing touches on my first cosplay 😅
Ooh that's awesome to hear congrats on your first cosplay!
@MissTwisteddd thank you
Absolutely gorgeous project! I can’t wait to see more projects from you this year! You’re very inspirational for me to continue my creative hobbies, whether it be sewing, drawing or writing 😊
I know you mentioned “flaws” often, but I see them as making the costume much more organic and gives it that special something for the character. ❤ I do follow Bob Ross’ mantra of “They’re not mistakes but happy accidents”.
You’re doing great with how you do things! Keep doing what is best for you! I know I get exceptionally lazy and impatient too with my projects so you’re not alone there 😂
Haha happy accidents is the best phrase, thank you Bob Ross. I should use this one more often!
I really enjoyed this video! I ended up putting it on and watching while I work on finishing my first painting!
I do that too! (watch other videos while I craft) it's honestly the best!
Watching crafter videos while crafting has such a fun 'creative community' vibe to it!
This looks amazing! You kept saying how crappy & snapdash it is, but it looks super cool. As long as it's comfy, functional, and looks good that what matters. I'm glad this filled your need of creative chaos. ❤
@12:42 “this was all just kinda vibes” every crafter ever I swear 😭😂
Haha we all have no idea what we're doing!
So, what exactly constitutes an "illegal" sewing technique? I know nothing at all when it comes to costume design or sewing in general.
But ultimately I often opt for the easier/faster 'illegal' methods if I know I can fix it later or it won't be seen up close!
absolutely stunning
HECK YEAH!! THAT LOOKS SO SICKKKK! ✨✨✨✨
No way 2 minutes! 😮
i love your Work 😎
I had a random practicality thought: what about adding hidden pockets on the inside of the hip panels?
Seeing you be creative and just have fun while saying yes to your magpie brain does wonders for my creative slump.
Getting out of creative slumps is similar to getting out of burnout. Sometimes you need a project where you just follow your whims and wants as you go!
Take care of yourself, you add joy to the world!
