    i made the same mistake. i got a lot of inflammation in my shoulders and elbows and created a good case of golfer's elbow. i used rehab exercises from the convict conditioning book to heal myself-specifically, wall pushups for high reps. i'm trying now to follow an approach similar to what you are doing.
