That is so cool. I like how you used the dowel as a jig for cutting the neck down on the bandsaw. Great job.
I saw Diresta do that once and this was the first time I had a situation where I needed to do it. Worked great!

It really is incredibly the detail those things can do. One day I'll get one.
Yeah, this is red cedar too and usually it chips out easily but it only did that in a couple of spots. I'm going to make more of these for my Etsy store, but enlarge them to 10" long and make guitar stands for them. Should be fun. Just let me know if you want to come over and use it sometime. You could even design a project free at easel.com and send me the link to cut it out for you.
Now ya need a bass to round out the Christmas tree band! 👊🏻
