The only word I can say is "BEAUTIFUL" then "FESTIVE". No store could have done a better job. I plan to start making these for my tree this year in 2020. God Bless you and your family, stay safe, stay healthy - much love is sent your way. Linda from Texas
Thanks for the warm feeling I got watching your video. We made some of these in the 70’s & 80’s. Now our grandkids are coming over so they’ll have these great memories with Grandma too. What a great feeling!
Erica this is so beautiful and you are so creative. Using your old Christmas card is so nice. Many of the old cards have some very old fashion scenery. I am going to give and A+. I am going to try this some time later for next year. Thank for a lesson how create an ususal ornaments.
How beautiful. They turned out gorgeous. They will look beautiful on your tree. Very charming. Thanks for sharing. Good to see you back out here crafting. ❤️ missed your diys.
I made some two years ago for my children with their family photos inside I used glass globes though. I enjoyed your video I have some old Christmas cards I have saved throughout the years that I will have to make some this year. Thank u for sharing
Thanks Erica. I 'm going to use sand, palm fronds, shells and cards with sand castles for my ornaments, as I live at the Beach. Thanks again for the tutorial. Pat-South Padre Island, Texas
These ornaments are so clever! I like that you included some "snow" in the bottom of each globe. It adds a touch of "winter wonderland" mystery. Just a suggestion: I would paste some Christmas wrapping paper to the backside of each Christmas card, BEFORE cutting out the circle. That way, the back of the ornament would be pretty too. Thanks Erica, for a very inspiring craft idea!
I absolutely love what you did with these ornaments and now I’m going to attempt them as well. Thank you so much for sharing your time and consideration for showing us how to do these crafts, I deeply appreciate you. I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy, healthy, safe, new year🎉 & a very Blessed one as well🙏😇
Beautiful! I made the same ornaments in 2014 but I used film printing sheets and used photos of my dear Mom and Dad and my Father-In-Law who have gone home to be with the Lord. I cherish those ornaments. Thank you for sharing and God Bless❤️🦋
Oh my gosh...I love the ornaments - just adorable! I just purchased some of the Dollar Tree clear ornaments - now I know what to do with them! Blessings♥️
Gorgeous ornament. I'm going to make one of my dad that is in heaven . All your ornaments are gorgeous . Thank you for showing how to do it , Rose-Marie in Canada
I just came across your u- tube videos and I love this one, using a clear ball and scenery pics. Thank you for showing us your tutorial. Then you showed us other ones you made. It makes this so much more interesting, than a repetitive tutorial which gets BORING ! These are great ornaments to share with others, as you can turn the ball into something personal for them. I subscribed and so glad I found your videos. Thanks
These are wonderful!!! Perfect for an ornament exchange. (Church, Bunko, Family and friends, clubs, teacher gifts.) They are just beautiful. Thank you so much for the idea!
What great ideas you have. I have a bunch of these ornaments and couldn't decide what to do with them. Thanks so much for the great inspiration. Merry Christmas.
I loved it. I don't have any old Christmas cards but I bought a ton of Michaels Christmas paper tablets and they have a ton of gorgeous pics in there. I'm sure they would work. Thanks for sharing... great DIY....have a blessed day.
Your idea of using actual photos gave me the idea to make heirloom gifts. All the elements you placed in your globes had the power of transporting me, or pulling me into a winter wonderland moment...which brought to mind a certain photograph. I have the last portrait of my husbands parents at Christmas who have since passed and I think gifting each family a memento ornament will be appreciated. Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial and brilliant idea. Your use of the barn or church backdrops will set the scene. Layered with my addition surely ~ a wistful, reminiscent emotion will follow. Merry Christmas 2019, and Thank you! XO
This is such a wonderful idea! My mom is 98 years old. I wonder if I couldn't find time to do this for her, sort of a "through the years" Christmas tree!
@@Jennifr1966 What a great idea! YES you have time. You CAN DO IT! It is inexpensive and will mean so much made by hand and with love. YOU GOT THIS JENNIFER. TIP: dollar tree has many sizes of plastic clear ornaments. ($1.25) If you want a certain size that your store doesn't have, simply order on line. YES you have to buy more than one of the same. If you ship to store pickup is free. Makes it in less than a week from my experience.
My dollar tree has the housing of a snow globe. You cand het minatures everywhere. Years ago at my after school care class we made them from babyfood jars. They turned out so great! The parents just loved them.
Cool idea wonder if we could find glass ones? I know if we could find them they probably would be pricey was thinking of putting a picture of my my mom and dad in something special to put on my tree lost my mom in 2012 and dad maybe two years ago, the school did cool projects with my kids photos for Christmas even thought they are grown up and gone, I use their school to decorate my tree it makes it more family friendly to me.
Very nice use of old Christmas cards! The ornaments came out out great. They looked so nice on the tree but also looked nice displayed grouped together on the mirror. Great to personalize them as well! Thanks for the ideas!
You could date the backs and put the names of people if you use photos. This would make a beautiful family tree with pictures from gift opening, decorating the tree, services and concerts and dinner! Maybe you could make the basic balls and add printer pics as the season progresses. What an exciting idea you have shared. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Them are so beautiful I'm making ornaments with a picture of myself and my husband in them for every year that we have been together thank you so much for sharing you're DIY with us
I love these! It's such a resourceful, genius idea! Your idea has inspired me to make some of these with pictures of my deceased family members & some angel wings inside. Thank you for sharing this with us! I hope you have a merry Christmas! 😘🎄🎅🎁☃️
That's really awesome! Last year, i ve done for my kids with pics of them but had a problem with a picture that moved around inside and how can i not think of tape on! Thanks for sharing! Those are really beautifil!
Thank you for this video. I'm huge with Christmas, so we are still putting stuff away, and I like to get a headstart on gifts for next year, so I made a bunch of these. I found the snow you use is perfect, I added a buffalo sprinkle snow to mine and wow what a mess! It sticks to everything...looks pretty inside but wow. The other thing I did was put the picture to the front of the bulb so I could flatten it from the back, then I would put it on the correct side and fill with snow.
Those are beautiful thanks for sharing with us all 😍, that's a great idea for me to make as this year's Christmas gifts for my daughter and her kids, my grandkids 😍
Thank you, this is great! I previously made my ornaments gifts (12) from the half ball clear ornaments, but now find I need one more gift. I do not have any more half ornaments, nor could I find them in the stores. But I did find the ones you are using. I was wondering how I would go about getting a cut out into the whole ornament, but thanks to you, I can now finish.
What a great idea.....regretting that I threw out last year's Christmas cards LOL...... But I will be sure to save them from this year! Love how these turned out - so pretty!
