That third and long to Dez, Troy said the ball was under thrown. I beg to differ. Rolle had Dez covered high to defend the deep pass and jamming him. Romo recognized that Rolle was gonna deny the over the top pass and threw the ball low and behind Dez forcing him to stop and turn back for the ball, giving Dez a chance to make a play. Romo did these types of passes to Dez all the time because he knew Dez had great body control and could contort to make the catch. It's also why the back shoulder fade was such a weapon for them.

Romo knew how to use Dez. Prescott did not, which made Dez look bad. Sucks that his career ended the way it did...also lol Beasley has some of the nastiest route running foot work in the league.
Not true. Dak received Dez after four injuries and two surgeries. Dez always cited play calling as an issue as well. I'll give you an example. Look at the interception Dak threw in the 2016 playoffs. That was the EXACT play and similar outcome of the Cowboys/Giants game in 2012 week 8. Difference is JPP pick six Romo. Also it was Dak not Tony to give both Dez and Witten their only post season TDS. Some things you have to research instead of using the optics of public opinion.

I remember this game. I was at this place called The eagles club I was with a good friend of mine his soon to be wife and at the time my fiance and my mom. inside this eagles club there was all these New York Giants and these Redskins fans and they were all talking so much smack. As soon as I realize they were in field goal range. I immediately started celebrating. The only cowboys fans in the whole building was just us five. And I remember my buddy going calm down man it's not over you don't know because we were surrounded by the other fans. And I just stood up and said the game's over we won Because I had so much faith in our kicker. That was a great night . I lost all of them.
seeing our division now it's sad how we haven't walked into the championship game several years in a row under Dak. I miss Romo, prime Dez/Murray and the rest of them. edit: All this under a career mostly ran by a coach/offensive playcaller who couldn't cut it in the league for 2 years after he was fired. Everything was against us then.
For everyone that doesn't think Romo wasn't good, I want to point out seven games. I know what you are thinking, but stick with me. In those seven games, he had 17 TDs, 3 ints, 101 passer rating, and led the Cowboys to an average of 28 points. If those were the first 7 games of a season, that would be potential MVP talk. But, those games were all from 2013 and all were LOSSES because the Cowboys allowed an AVERAGE of 37 points per game. They made Josh McGowen and Matt Flynn ( I know.... Who and who?) look like superstars. In those seven losses, the defense gave up 400 yards 3 times and a 4th had 392 yards. Each opposing QB average 25 points higher in the passer rating. And in the case of the loss against the Broncos and Bears, the defense forced ZERO punts. And yet, all fingers were pointed at Romo for being a failure. This is very typical. Romo wasn't perfect, but he was far from the problem.
This team should've, could've would've, I remember wanting this here team to get a ring so bad, but they just couldn't muster up enough. Shame Romo never got that ring with Dallas. Now, maybe Dak and them can pull it together this year. I though last year they were headed right the second half of the season till that cardinals game. Everything went south from there.
I would LOVE to see Romo play with the current roster. He never had anywhere near that kind of talent when he played. He had Dez and DeMarco. But no OL and not a great D, at all. #DC4L

10:04 tho hahahahaha....We will Miss you Beasley! #CowboysNation
Dan "The Beast" Bailey was awesome! I miss his kicks! What an amazing kicker!
I just loved Tony Romo playing. I really wish they didn’t put Dak in when they did. I think Romo still had one or two good years in him. He made America’s team so fun to watch.
Dez Bryant is the greatest Cowboy in Cowboys history and it isn't even close!
Man the Giants talked so much trash up to this game and we beat them in their house
I miss these guys!!!!
That was a catch by Dez, he caught it ran fell skid on the ground for four yards play was over when ball came out.
Damn what about Cole Beasley break that defenders ankle lmao.
1:31 i immediately though FUCKING FLOZEL ADAMS.
3rd and a Million Don't Worry ROMO GOT IT!!!! OVER N OVER ETC ROMO 2 DEZ UNSTOPPABLE EVER!! bet dikhuggers miss him now!
stauback had the doomsday defense, Aikman had the strongest team of all... romo was great with nothing... he will get screwed out of the recognition because of the team... he was the best actual QB
R.I.P Gavin Escobar man
I remember this game.
If Dallas would've had defense and Zeke, I think Romo at least leads them to NFC championship game. But none of that matters.
seeing our division now it's sad how we haven't walked into the championship game several years in a row under Dak. I miss Romo, prime Dez/Murray and the rest of them.
edit: All this under a career mostly ran by a coach/offensive playcaller who couldn't cut it in the league for 2 years after he was fired. Everything was against us then.
I wish he would come out of retirement for just one season with Dallas. He would win a title with this team.
Just here for the good glory days.....
How is that, they went 8-8 that season?
RIP Escobar!! 🙏🕊🏈
What the fuck? How was that not a catch by Dez??? He took 3 steps and his knee was down before the ball ever even came close to coming out
Now it's time for Romo to come back, now that Witten is making a comeback!
Allen Williams as coach not playing
@@brandonespinoza111 lol, of course as a coach, could be as a player too, you'll never know lol!
@@allenwilliamsii4381 tell ya and bring dez back I think him and cooper can have a deadly combo like when cooper had Crabtree on the raiders
@@linoarzagaify I don't know bout Dez, as much as I like him, he tends to want the ball too much and has a temper problem.
@@allenwilliamsii4381 a lot like AB
It's crazy how Romo turned into the NFL G.O.A.T.
What's that song at 10:12?
2:12 How many Cowboys on the line of scrimmage?
I always liked romo
This team should've, could've would've, I remember wanting this here team to get a ring so bad, but they just couldn't muster up enough. Shame Romo never got that ring with Dallas. Now, maybe Dak and them can pull it together this year. I though last year they were headed right the second half of the season till that cardinals game. Everything went south from there.
Staubach, Aikman,Romo, Meredith
#DezCaughtIt
good thing this wasn't a playoff game versus Seattle.
10:24 tell me I'm not the only one who caught that 🤣🤣
Not once but TWICE!! Hahahaha
2013.. ha! We are waiting for smith to play again lol 2021
DALLAS got that W in new york thats all that matters
Beasley route put his man on his @$$!😂
Lol dez n Romo got jacked a couple different times in different games regarding a catch. Robbed
Refs fucking Dez out of a legit catch again. Luckily, it didn't matter in this game.
i miss bailey man
should never had let Dez go period!
I agree
I’ve now been reminded of two catches Dez Bryant was robbed of…
Dallas run the same plays in 2019
I would LOVE to see Romo play with the current roster. He never had anywhere near that kind of talent when he played. He had Dez and DeMarco. But no OL and not a great D, at all.
