Great video - just wanted to add that, in terms of wages, I think NZ has been catching up with Australia over the last few years. I just moved from Oz to NZ and I'm earning the same here.. The minimum wage in Australia used to be about $3 more per hour than in NZ a few years ago. Now in 2022 it's about the same ($21.38 p/hour in Aus & $21.20 p/hour in NZ).. I'm living in Queenstown right now and pretty much every single job pays at least $25 an hour. Office jobs in cities like Auckland and Wellington are paying around $25-$30 an hour.
This video couldn't have been timed better as I've been debating Australia vs New Zealand for a few weeks now and still haven't decided 😂Thank you for making a video like this 😂🙏
New Zealand is better
I want to get a visa for of these places from the USA. I'm kinda nervous because I'll be by myself. If anybody else is going we should totally meet up!!
To WORK definitely Australia, just check the pay comparison. NZ living cost is INSANE .
great backpacking advice. But the "let's go BANANAS" shirt stole the show for me!
beautiful eye!
Very interesting
This was the exact video I was hoping to find! Thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it. As someone who's newly interested in solo travel/backpacking, all of your videos have been super inspirational and educational.
From the East coast of Australia, NZ is only about 3 hours away by plane....so you can have the best of both worlds if you're willing to take some time off and book a flight.
Thank you for this video. I'm on my working holiday in NZ at the moment and I'm thinking about doing a year in Australia as well. This definitely helped making my decision easier!
Thanks for the tips. The way you make it sound so simple to do really makes me want to go there!
Great, informative video! I'm doing a WH in NZ and super excited
Thank you so much for your advice! This helped me decide where to go :)
Very helpful video. I'm trying to move to Australia with my current company that I work for and your video helped me clarify a few aspects. Thank you :-)
This video was so good it had answers to questions I didn't even know I had! Thumbs way up
Thanks for these Christi. I love these content
Rewatching your old content as I plan on working and traveling in Australia for a year and then New Zealand for another; backpack Southeast Asia, Europe and Central America after and return home
you’re such a likeable and friendly person ☀️
Thanks for this. Very informative and clear!
