This is perfection. I know you know how useful this must be for people beginning their travel journeys but you have NO idea how freaking useful this really is?! 😂 I shall be waking up tomorrow morning, watching this video again and starting my check list (admittedly from about half way at this point) hehe!
Omg I actually just LOVE videos like this! I’m in the process of applying for a New Zealand working holiday visa so I find them all v applicable - it’s now or it’s not hey!
This couldn't have come at a more perfect time! Heading to Australia early next year but will be applying for my visa hopefully by July!!! Had already watched your Australia content from years back so glad to see you're back there again :)
You guys are soooo great thank you for making these videos. I'm going solo travelling to Aus for the first time in Jan 23. These videos make me feel like it's all gonna be okay lol! x
Hi, I'm Natsumi from Japan. I'm planning to go to Australia and am thinking about working as a coffee barista in Australia. I love making coffee and I've worked as a barista in Japan for a year. I'm excited about the prospect of living and working in a new country, and I'm looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing a new culture. about working as a coffee barista in Australia.
This is something I'd love to do. I am about to graduate from university and I don't have anything planned for my next step. I know I want to start working but I also want to finally travel. I was suppose to study abroad in Denmark but covid took that away, so I never got that solo travel experience.
Im travelling to aus hopefully by December! Only just sent my visa off but once that comes through I'm gonna get a flight and jus look into hostels in Melbourne, get lieka cafe job when I'm out there and after a month hopefully get a spare room kind of deal with a mate but don't think you need to necessarily fly out with a job already set up, you can find one there and I'm gonna do regional work after a little while of research whilst im out there as don't wanna end up in a bad place
Super love this. I think this list is helpful for any traveller, really. Also love how the welcome to travel tours really makes sure that you aren't alone in your journey. This will really be something I will be putting in my list soon.
@@BackpackingBananas cheers! Admittedly it's all a bit easier if you have a NZ passport to go with your English one (which used to be Euro passport 😤). AUD$1000/day + 10% super pays for a lot of travel, and it's 100% working from home 🕺 Missing Thailand a bit but as far as working holidays go, it could be worse 😁 I hope you're getting some sun wherever you are - it's back to daily rain here again 😭
Tip I’ve come across - with A Revolut premium account you get travel insurance included. Only £7.99 a month so way cheaper than any quotes I managed to find, plus other benefits that come with the account!
This got me so excited! Definitely going to do a working holiday Visa with in the next year! Thank you both so much for this, super helpful! I want to work as a personal trainer/fitness/Pilates instructor x
Planning on going to australia for a few months for working at some horse places and traveling around. I've seen a lot of stuff with my parents already a few years back and now i wanna go back just because i freaking can!!! hahah thank you
GUYS this is brilliant. Very helpful. ------- I have to say this is the only working holiday visa video I've found that mentions anything about prescription medication! Great to hear you guys are aware of the people with disabilities (Seen & Unseen) that may want to travel AUZ as well. What are the best means to find out if my prescribed medication is available in Australia? I have contacted all PBS, medicare and even the Government Health site contact emails and not found out if my medication is available and if it is even affordable under the medicare! (GOD BLESS THE NHS!) Your help would be amazing! Cant wait to join the Welcome Travel tours!
Couting down the days for my own Welcome to Sydney Tour with these guys and I cannot wait! I'm always making lists so this is super helpful thank you! I want to work in a cocktail bar shaking cocktails on the beach. Any advice on getting the RSA? Do you need different ones for different states? Love your videos!
Hi, thank you for this video! It’s really insightful and has helped me know where to start with preparation for my trip! ☺️ I’d just like to ask how I can access the savings checklist, I’ve currently downloaded the travel checklist but cannot seem to find the other one
how do you get emergency cash before you get to australia? another advice video said to get it before you land, because the taxes or commissions or something are really high in the airport.
Have you ever been to Perth? Was thinking of starting there on my WHV and then making way to Melbourne and up the East coast but it seems many people skip it out for some reason!
Have you got any other recommendations for a 40-50l backpack that opens like a suitcase? I can't find the Eagle Creek Global Companion in stock anywhere💚
Hey Christianne! I'm going to Western Australia in August. I know you mentioned it briefly in this vid but what was the exact process to get in covid-wise? Did you have to have a PCR test before-did they check? Can you just show the NHS Covid pass on your phone at the airport or do you have to print it off/get a certificate instead? Anything else that I'm missing? Thanks in advance! ☺️
Hey Tazmin! Honestly the rules are likely to soften up a fair bit by August so I recommend just checking the Australian immigration website a week or so before you go! Im pretty sure what I did to get in 6 weeks ago already has changed! The restrictions change fast!
Recommendations for travel insurance when you have a medical condition to declare? I’ve seen lots of suggestions for general insurance but they don’t ask about medical conditions. It’s only mild asthma but I want to declare it just in case x
Amazing video, got 3 questions left. 1. Is it mainly 18 year olds doing the visa or will i meet more people around my age 27? 2. Is it sensible to go and do this as someone who is not jabed? I heard people are really adamant about this stuff there (not sure if it varies per state). 3. How easy are restaurant and farm jobs to get at the moment and will they usually do minimal pay or could it be more?
i’ve just booked my tickets to cairns for my WHV in august and i’m scared i’ve chosen the wrong place to start 😬 is cairns still a good place to start? i want to work my way down the east coast instead of up due to the time of year i’m going
Hey! Great video! I'd like to ask how you did your health check. Did you go through an NHS clinic or does it have to be an approved Australian clinic in London? Thanks :)
Hey, I'm planning on doing a WHV in Australia too. It is all new and exciting, so a massive thank you for these kind of videos! ☺️ As a job I would like to help/coach in basketball camps for children. Plan to come October - March. Is this job a good idea? Is it done already by backpackers? Do you have recommendations (don't have a coach diploma though)? Love both of your YT channels 🙌
It is so exciting to hear that you are planning on doing a working holiday in Australia :) Coaching basketball is not a common job by backpackers in Australia. This means less competition for yourself. More common sports people work at are surf schools. Where are you thinking of starting your Australian trip?
@@WelcometoTravel Thanks for replying 🙏 I had a feeling that it isn't common 😅 Well, like to start in Sydney or maybe Melbourne, still figuring that out...
