Sound & honest advice - I have seen some UK uni graduates who think they can get a professional job for 3 years. In Australia we have a shortage of people for service jobs in hospitality & retail etc. But we have a shortage of graduate jobs as over 50% of Aussies aged under 35 have a degree (even more for females) & they are not restricted to one employer for 6 months. The only professional jobs available for 417s are real shortage areas like nurses. Nurses who register with ANMAC before coming can work for agencies & casuals esp in aged care. A 417 is not a way to "move" to Australia like a 482 temporary resident or a 182 Permanent Resident - it is as it says a working holiday visa.
Personal question… of course don’t answer if you don’t want to but how much did you have saved before you left to go to Aus? After you paid for visa & flights!

Of course it's worked out for you. You're British and you have reciprocality with the country and don't have to do the 88 day regional anymore
