- MAP comes after the EGR valve. So if the EGR was baked in carbon/ sludge then expect the MAP sensor needing cleaning also.
Make sure not to touch the sensor contact at all. Just blast with electrical contact cleaner, although I used brake cleaner as I did not have the contact cleaner to hand.
After taking out and cleaning it does not require any settings by the program?
No settings required. Ecu will detect correct operation an engine eml will automatically extinguish.
Will this cause misfie , and juddering and also when doing between 1-5 mph will it cut out , astra j 2013 auto .?
Do you also have lots of smoke being emitted from the exhaust?
@@reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805 , no I recently had a head gasket done . Iv changed the coil pack spark plugs . Service esp comes on and off aswell rough idle a now a slight small knocking nosie .
@@sabrinaiqbal9783 in the first instance I would suggest you have the fault codes read as more often than not you could be wasting money on changing a whole host of parts unnecessarily. Also, if these issues occurred after a head gasket change then you may have a vacuum leak due to poor connection of one or more of the vacuum pipes as these have to be removed during a head gasket change. What vehicle do you have? Engine?
@@reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805 , astra j SE , 2013 auto 1.6 , started happening after the head gasket , when engine light comes on most of the time its p0103 , then the other code for map sensor yesterday. Thanks for the replies 👍🏽
@@sabrinaiqbal9783 When they changed the head gasket they may have either cracked part of the the air intake pipe work, not fitted properly or maybe a loose electrical connection. The code P0103 is MAF sensor fault and you say you have the MAP sensor code as well. I will upload a video to help. Let me know how you get on.
