This was s a good explanation video BUT it isn't complete. Why? So when you change your shoes/pads say, you need to pump your pedal and in some cases, top up your brake fluid ect to release trapped air which completes the process right. So here to complete the process, you have to release air that would be trapped because of the change in new filter. Otherwise, the problem will effect your engine will it not and still bother you with the working of your vehicle. So, a further advice to release trapped air as indicated by other commentators on here would have benefited the video.
Hello, yes it's the MK5, we didn't drain before hand, but always keep a liquid collector with you because when you will unplug the pipe some fuel will leak ;)
@@ogiannisokalos thats for diesel. There is no recommended interval for petrol cars. But its very easy and cheap todo. So might be good idea todo it every 50.000km.

To remove fuel filter on 2010 model is not easy as the way it is being demonstrated by this video, one use more energy to remove it.I believe is not as easy as what we see on this video to remove petrol filter.

You don't need to bleed petrol cars . They are self bleeding. Diesel cars will require bleeding though
What is the recommended fuel filter change interval for VW Polo mk5 6R/6C? I can't find it in the service booklet.
Read around every 3 years.
@@n30a Thanks.
how do you bleed the fuel system of air afterwards?
No, there is air in the new filter also. It will be pushed out to the engine
