Thanks for the info, Ive watched a few videos and you're the only one to go through the priming stage, One other kind of mentioned it but didn't show it. You've just saved me £90 at a local garage. Thank you
I was surprised aswell when I realised it was in the engine bay, I'm used to seeing them under the car. I was happy tho as it made changing it really easy. The rims are: Calibre motion 2
When you were turning the key to prime the fuel filter could you hear a slight hum/buzzing sound for around 2-3 seconds. In the video when I was doing it, you should be able to hear the fuel pump activating every time you do it. When you turn the key keep it on for a few seconds and then turn it off, same speed I did in the video, don't do it too quickly If you shake the filter does it feel/sound like any fuel has gone into it, even a little bit ?
@@RCS_716 I'm going to order the OBD11 bluetooth dongle. I shipped my European model to the US and for some reason there is a difference in the way things work.
@@ZoubeirsWorld Not in all VW the engines the fuel pump starts with the key like in the video. You should hear the pump sound when you turn the key. If you won't be able to hear it.. probably you'll have need of the OBD.

For some reason when I do the ignition switch thing, no diesel comes out the filter in the bottle. I did it more than 30 times.

@@RCS_716 there is no fuel that goes into the filter shen doing the ignition switch. For some reason only vcds or odb11 does the trick
My bad since mine worked like that I thought they all would. Sorry.
Hope you managed to get it sorted in the end 👍

There is no need to air bleed from injector sir
Some people won't, some people will. I learnt to prime the fuel filter before running the car so that's just how I do it 👍
