Jotaro, arguably the most well-known character from JJBA, has the power to punch things. His most famous strategy is to try punching something several times.
The saddest Jojo-related idea I ever heard was Josuke taking Older Joseph to Tonio's to help with some of his health problems. Tonio serves him Spaghetti Al Nero as the dish that alleviates his senility. Then things get really really sad.
Katagara Yeah, he’d slurp up the noodles and suddenly remember that time he tried to slap Caesar in the face with them. And then he’d remember Caesar, and then he’d remember that Caesar died. Caesar had it really fuckin bad in his fight because Wham admits that he's the only Pillar Man that could've have had a chance against Caesar's bubble techniques. Kars and Eisidisi would've been fresh toast.

He gets butthurt blah blah Zeppeli this and that and goes in anyway. Then in the heat of the battle, forgets his bubbles were blocking the sunlight and gets destroyed. Would the outcome have been different had JoJo and Lisa Lisa went in with him? Perhaps, but it doesn't change the fact that he brought it upon hhimself

Pat, Josuke shows he's capable of punching through multiple people at once like King Crimson, but I think he, and maybe even Jotaro, are consciously holding batch from murdering people. I remember Jotaro busting DIO's vampire head open with one punch too, but he only beats down Steely Dan. I think the thing could either be they hold back against people they don't want to kill, or when they do the rushdown attacks, they sacrifice a bit of power for speed.
They actively try not to kill people unless they really deserve it, mean Jotaro can punch through diamonds, his morality stops him from killing everyone who looks at him wrong(which is a lot of people). That's the reason
I know this post is 5 years old, but when Jotaro barrages DIO, even during a rush down, he punches holes in DIO. Steely Dan and everyone else who gets rushed down does not have huge holes in them.

As much as I dislike this game's story mode, especially the last few chapters, this is probably one of my favorite chapters in the game. Old Joseph interacting with his younger self, Lisa Lisa, and Caesar, the Pillar Men fights, Stroheim (even if he isn't the greatest in the world in this game), and old Joseph stopping one of the biggest mistakes of his past, I really loved it
Well, remember all that cool shit actually Joseph did using Hamon to non-vampires? Or remember when Straizo killed a bunch of dudes almost instantly, while being only Hamon user? Hamon masters were pretty hardcore. And there is still a fact that you not having a stand would not trigger a stand user to immediately preceive you as a threat. "Hey, he can't see my stand, he's just a rando guy". And then you pierce his brain by exploding a cactus.
The reason Kars was able to melt Joseph with hamon was because Kars can make hamon way stronger than any human ever. Hamon can hurt people, but it's functionally more like a damage multiplier on hits than something that can melt flesh.
Fellas? Ripple was originally a sort of spirit/magic healing method that could cure even a gangrenous limb, something that couldn't really be replicated until Josuke... but it was repurposed for a Vampire Killing Style because of the type of energy the Ripple used.
You got to remember Pat's speech on how hard Star Platinum punches are kinda both true and false. Like they aren't at full power, since one punch from Star Platinum in the slowing of time was enough to smash through DIO's skull.
"Hey I remember this place. This is that island where I spied on my mom taking a bath that one time and got super pumped about it before I teamed up with the Nazis. What the fuck Araki?"
Stroheim only killed like a dozen people in Mexico, and without him Kars would have won. Not only would Kars have gotten the Red Stone of Aja earlier, he also saved Speedwagon's life, sacrificed himself to stop Santana, saved Joseph and Lisa Lisa from a hoard of vampires, provided Joseph with the plane to escape Kars, kept Kars on the plane by firing his arm into him, and then proceeds to save Joseph yet again by catching him midair and sacrificing his mechanical legs to soften the landing. So yeah, Stroheim saved Joseph's ass more than anyone else in Part 2. And on a side note, there isn't just one Red Stone of Aja, Kars even finds one and breaks it. The reason the Pillar Men are going after the one the heroes have is because it is a perfect one that refracts light very well. Think of a well cut diamond.
For those who are confused about the concept of Hamon (or more commonly known as The Ripple), it's basically sunlight condensed from the human body. So being hit with Hamon is like being hit by a sun ray.
I need clarification or maybe even speculation: Era-specific Stands Pat brings up the point of how strong Hol Horse would be in the year 9. Would a Stand like that even manifest in that specific way? Like, would it be a gun and the user has no idea what a gun is, or would it instead be like a spear or a bow and arrow? I have the same thoughts about Stands like Chilli Peppers, White Snake, Bastet, Aerosmith, Sticky Fingers, and Wheel of Fortune. With the exception of Chilli Peppers (though it's a similar situation), these Stands rely on the establishment of a preexisting invention; airplanes, zippers, electrical outlets, etc.
Considering the original explanation of stands is that they are manifestations of psychic powers, the form they take would likely be based partly on the experience of the user, so yes it would take a contemporary form assumedly.
One of the very few problems I have with this game is that Araki wanted to make Hol Horse become a crusader in part 3, and even though he wrote (or signed off on, cant remember which) the story of EoH, we still fight Hol Horse on his own instead of making him join the cast because he's terrified of Dio since he knows he failed him multiple times and thinks that he doesnt have any chances left.
Something crossed my mind. Your Stand is determined by your mind (or something like that) and is controlled by your fighting instinct. That's why Holly was almost killed by it, because she has no fighting instinct. Joseph lost his hand and kept fighting, he was able to beat Kars with one hand and a bleeding stump, so in theory, his Stand should've been awesome and powerful, instead of purple vines. This makes me wonder if it's because he got his stand when he was nearly 70, and if it would've been different if he got it when he was much younger.
So in the canon of Purple Haze Feedback, Tonio’s real name is Antonio Volpe. He was the brother of Massimo Volpe who were both extremely wealthy individuals and Tonio was about to inherit the large amount of money from their father but became a chef so he was disowned by his father for his good ideals values and not wanting to take advantage of others, so Massimo got it in the end.
actually a lot of stand users would FUCKING ROCK the pillar men Killer Queens bombs actually completely evaporate you from reality (this is why there is no evidence left unless it caters to Kira's fetish); KQ could touch Kars once and then Kars vanishes if Kars got hit by an ACT 4 Tusk shot, and didn't IMMEDIATELY cut off the shot limb, then he would be disintegrated on a cellular level pretty sure Gold Experience Requiem would work too, because Kars could get stuck in the loop forever unable to escape the list goes on also you have to consider that PILLAR MEN COULDN'T SEE STANDS, so even hermit purple would be amazing, because they couldn't see Joseph throwing anything at them (then he can just channel ripple within it)
the pillarmen modes ARE pseudo-stands. Part 3 already confirmed that standless vampires and can see and harm stands (Nukesaku), and Pillarmen are vampires on steroids.
When Kars used the Hamon against Joseph, it was 100x the level humans could manifest-Like sunlight. So basically, he was burning him with hyper intense sunlight.

I don't think a virus-based Stand like Purple Haze or Metallica could really defeat a Pillar Man. It might put them out of commission, but I don't think it could really keep them down once the regeneration kicks in. Maybe if the brain was outright destroyed, or if the virus can keep them incapacitated until the sun is involved. I also want to say that anything metaphysical can probably bust a Pillar Man or a vampire, so definitely things like Gold Experience, maybe Crazy Diamond due to it's healing properties perhaps acting similar to Ripple/Hamon... There's also the absolute batshit that is Bohemian Rhapsody that could do it.
I mean, really, stands can't be touched by anything that isn't a stand, and they don't tire out, so isn't it possible for most every stand to defeat them?
So according to the Jojo wiki, the japanese for stands can also be written as The Ghost Ripple, and the all Star battle game alludes to this to by having star platinum do the same kind of damage to Pillar Men and Vampire as ripple users do.
Hol Horse is probably the only subordinate other than Pucci that Dio has ever shown some respect for, this makes sense considering the kind of person Dio is he cant respect people who are subservient even if its to him, he initially thought he was just another patsy he could push around with fear but despite the fact he was shitting his pants in fear in his presence he still showed a strong resolve to not just bow down to him the moment he tried to shoot him thus even if he wasnt as strong or influential to Dio on that moment he got on a higher level than the likes of Enyaba or Vanilla Ice
You guys do realise that part 2 takes place between ww1 and ww2? George Joestar was in ww1 so he wasn't fighting Nazis, and although Stroheim is a Nazi by all evidence before ww2 Hitler was believed to be doing really great things, he was a popular figure with Churchill speaking well of him. If anything Araki-sensei is being accurate with Stroheims character rather than just being a closet nazi.

Emerald Splash seemed damaged by street signs when he got punched by DIO. Stand rules aren't entirely set in stone
but the gang straight up crushed that old man's stand on the plane that outright killed him in the beginning of the trip to Cairo.

The reason Kars was able to melt Joseph with hamon was because Kars can make hamon way stronger than any human ever. Hamon can hurt people, but it's functionally more like a damage multiplier on hits than something that can melt flesh.
From what I remember, Star Platinum has Atomic strength, but Jotaro can hold back, hence why Steely Dan is alive.
Fellas? Ripple was originally a sort of spirit/magic healing method that could cure even a gangrenous limb, something that couldn't really be replicated until Josuke... but it was repurposed for a Vampire Killing Style because of the type of energy the Ripple used.
You got to remember Pat's speech on how hard Star Platinum punches are kinda both true and false. Like they aren't at full power, since one punch from Star Platinum in the slowing of time was enough to smash through DIO's skull.

Not only would Kars have gotten the Red Stone of Aja earlier, he also saved Speedwagon's life, sacrificed himself to stop Santana, saved Joseph and Lisa Lisa from a hoard of vampires, provided Joseph with the plane to escape Kars, kept Kars on the plane by firing his arm into him, and then proceeds to save Joseph yet again by catching him midair and sacrificing his mechanical legs to soften the landing. So yeah, Stroheim saved Joseph's ass more than anyone else in Part 2.
And on a side note, there isn't just one Red Stone of Aja, Kars even finds one and breaks it. The reason the Pillar Men are going after the one the heroes have is because it is a perfect one that refracts light very well. Think of a well cut diamond.
Yeah Stroheim is basically the Vegeta of Part 2.

I need clarification or maybe even speculation: Era-specific Stands
Pat brings up the point of how strong Hol Horse would be in the year 9. Would a Stand like that even manifest in that specific way? Like, would it be a gun and the user has no idea what a gun is, or would it instead be like a spear or a bow and arrow? I have the same thoughts about Stands like Chilli Peppers, White Snake, Bastet, Aerosmith, Sticky Fingers, and Wheel of Fortune. With the exception of Chilli Peppers (though it's a similar situation), these Stands rely on the establishment of a preexisting invention; airplanes, zippers, electrical outlets, etc.
Considering the original explanation of stands is that they are manifestations of psychic powers, the form they take would likely be based partly on the experience of the user, so yes it would take a contemporary form assumedly.
One of the very few problems I have with this game is that Araki wanted to make Hol Horse become a crusader in part 3, and even though he wrote (or signed off on, cant remember which) the story of EoH, we still fight Hol Horse on his own instead of making him join the cast because he's terrified of Dio since he knows he failed him multiple times and thinks that he doesnt have any chances left.
Literally the one thing this game constantly hyped us about and there's only like few dual heats with specific characters.

Something crossed my mind. Your Stand is determined by your mind (or something like that) and is controlled by your fighting instinct. That's why Holly was almost killed by it, because she has no fighting instinct. Joseph lost his hand and kept fighting, he was able to beat Kars with one hand and a bleeding stump, so in theory, his Stand should've been awesome and powerful, instead of purple vines. This makes me wonder if it's because he got his stand when he was nearly 70, and if it would've been different if he got it when he was much younger.

the pillarmen modes ARE pseudo-stands. Part 3 already confirmed that standless vampires and can see and harm stands (Nukesaku), and Pillarmen are vampires on steroids.

I don't think a virus-based Stand like Purple Haze or Metallica could really defeat a Pillar Man. It might put them out of commission, but I don't think it could really keep them down once the regeneration kicks in. Maybe if the brain was outright destroyed, or if the virus can keep them incapacitated until the sun is involved.
I also want to say that anything metaphysical can probably bust a Pillar Man or a vampire, so definitely things like Gold Experience, maybe Crazy Diamond due to it's healing properties perhaps acting similar to Ripple/Hamon... There's also the absolute batshit that is Bohemian Rhapsody that could do it.

Doesn't Joseph send a steel ball through Wham's chest in their chariot fight with hamon still flowing through it though? Or is he able to do that because Kars coated it in oil for him before the fight? Also, what about his whole clacker volley technique in his first fight with Wham? Those were steel balls that he threw at Wham that retained their charge.
