The democrats were a conservative party built out of the carcass of the democratic republican party. To deny that is to deny something that is true but inconvenient. I understand the party switch, though i think it's more fair to say that both parties changed their platforms rather than switched platforms. There is a serious issue that needs to be addressed, and it’s deeper than “who you support politically and why”? It’s the fact that that something has taken a firm hold on a lot of people, and I don’t know if it’s media or society in general. I’ll give an example. In this comment thread on this video I’ve noticed a lot of people that can’t tell that the part about David “voting for Trump” was a lie and just the setup for this joke. These people are writing David off now, saying they have no respect for him anymore and “I used to like him” and “I didn’t know he is a racist. Wake up people. First of all, comedians lie to make their jokes funnier sometimes. Most importantly, if you want the world to be a better place, it starts with you and me. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you don’t, you have no one but yourself to blame for the way the world is.
