It takes out chambering and removes the recovery time for blocks right?
No, it removed chambers and slightly nerfed feints on some weapons + swing manipulation on long release time weapons (e.g. zweihander). (i am the mod creator)

What’s wrong with chambers? I personally don’t chamber that often in duels bc I feel like it wastes stamina
makes feinting too risky, half the time you just instantly receive a chamber back

@@Stouty fair enough, a lot of things that are good against low-mid skilled players simply become high risk low reward compare to 50/50 when faced against a skilled player with a low ping.

Mordhau would be way less fun for me if 50% of the game was everybody feinting in front of their opponents feinting back like this video. Yeah chambering technically "counters" feints but you can just parry if someone tries to chamber your feint. Everyone has their opinion but this gameplay is so ugly to me. Feints are still strong with chambers in the game.
To each their own but this gameplay is objectively less ugly than vanilla ripostehau

@@johnvanek9514 vanilla mordhau = ripostehau with floaty drags as default offensive option. This is objectively less realistic (janky) than feint orientated gameplay
I feel like while in the world of comp I have no idea what would be the right way to make the game, but for casuals I can probably say
I think chambering is seen as fun (it sorta looks slick), and feints are seen as annoyin. As chamberin is a protection against feints, I think its probly good for the game because it gives noobs and intermediates some sort of defence. means deep-noobs are less likely to get maul feint spammed i bet

Idk, chambers make the game a lot more noob friendly, espically when you're fighting someone that is better than you at the game.
I remember back when I was a total noob at mordhau, one of the top ranked players at the time called "redblue" was stomping me in a duel server, then I started trying to chamber. Even though I was bad at chambering at the time, I still managed to start killing him he started crying and calling me a gambler.
Honesly without chambering, how will you punish someone who is feint spamming you? Sure you can "read" but I'd rather not be forced to read someones attack I like to be able to punish them and push the attack myself.
you can punish without chambering, my whole playstle revolves around doing so

If there is no chamber, then is it not just a gamble if you attack someone when you think they will feint you? the way I see it, with the chamber you can atleast defend yourself if you misread a feint.
